LIKE BRAND NEW CONDO!!
HELLO PLEASE CALL ME AT 252-531-3918 with any questions as I am here to help. My beautiful totally renovated in 2024 condo is on the third floor with great ocean views. We put in LVP flooring, new paint, new granite and newly renovated bathrooms. Although considered a convertible 1 bedroom unit, we have enclosed the second bedroom with a door for privacy. It has a nice twin/full bunk bed (see photo). Perfect for the kids!

New renovations/updates include new LVP flooring, newly renovated bathrooms, nice furniture and bedding, fresh paint, new granite with tile backsplash in kitchen and flat screen HD TV's. We have also added crown molding to dress up the condo. Being a 3rd floor condo allows for the best views of the ocean from your balcony. It has a King bed in the master bedroom with a luxurious mattress for a great night's sleep. In the second bedroom there is a Twin/Full size BUNK bed. The complex is the best one on the beach with a 150' Waterslide, indoor pool with jacuzzi area built in, large outdoor pool, 2 hot tubs, miniature golf course, basketball court, tennis court and ping pong! The complex also has both gas and charcoal grills for great cookouts for family and friends.

The master bedroom has a private bath with tub/shower combo. it has a flat screen 40" HD Roku TV. The second bedroom offers a twin over full bunk bed which is perfect for kids. The living room has nice queen sleeper sofa with a 40' flat screen HD TV with a Blu-ray player and free Wi-Fi. This unit sleeps 6 comfortably. The galley kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, utensils and a Keurig combo coffee maker that does traditional coffee and K pods. There is also a dining table with 6 chairs.

Amenities galore at this complex. This is an awesome family resort with awesome amenities and easy access to the beach. Come enjoy today!!

Family fun ! This place has indoor and outdoor pools and a beautiful beach.

Great family resort. Pools are clean and refreshing!! BBQ Grills, excellent beach and close to grocery store and restaurants. We made food at the condo and chose not to eat out. Miniature golf, tennis courts, this place is set up for family fun. Our condo had a distant view of the ocean but could hear the waves! Would recommend this condo!

Comfy Getaway

Clean and comfortable accommodations, if not the most up to date. Pool and slide areas were great fun and well maintained and overseen. Easy beach access and plenty of restaurant and snack options nearby. A very affordable and pleasant getaway.

Great place for the kids, get ready for some exercise

Lots of steps to get to unit. Elevator on opposite end of the building. Very small and narrow kitchen, bathroom and porch. pool and slide were great. Long trek to the beach with very hot sand. If you say stay in this unit be prepared for a lot of exercise, going up and downstairs and long walks to the beach with your boogie boards and beach chairs. Owner was very nice

Great getaway

Paul's place was perfect for our little family. Clean and well stocked. My daughter loved the bunk bed and the king size bed in the Master was one of the most comfortable beds we've slept in on vacation! Would love to stay again in the future!

We were a multigenerational family who enjoyed staying here for spring break. There was an Easter egg hunt and games for children by the condo while we were there which was nice. Good ocean view. Comfortable beds. Bit on the smaller side for kitchen area but we enjoyed our stay.

This condo is great! Everything is updated! It is only a very short walk to the beach, has wonderful large swimming pool and tennis courts! The owner, Paul, is extremely accommodating, friendly and communicates frequently. I highly recommend!!!

A Place at the Beach

We have stayed in this resort many times. This has been our favorite by far. The communication with the host has been amazing from the beginning. We enjoyed being on the 3rd floor. A lot went into the awesome details! We will definitely be renting this unit again! I'm giving this 10 stars!

Upon arrival our unit was not clean and not what were expecting. The unit looked like it had not even been cleaned. The master bathroom toilet seat was broke and pinched every time you set on it and the back of the toilet hung over the commode handle and you hand to reach under the back lid to flush. The shower had grime, sand, and black mold. The stove eyes were caked with burnt food and crumbs. There was no toaster, dishwasher, iron, ironing board, hairdryer or sheets or blankets for the pull out couch. The pull out coach had crumbs and jewelry on the bed. We had to strip the master bed and go buy new bedding because the navy blue comforter had dried white stuff all over it. There is zero storage in this unit for food or clothing. The washer and dryer were NOT in the unit and were two floors down on the opposite side of the building. When we washed the towels mid week at the community pay washer and dryer our towels were stolen. We had to buy new towels to replace the dirty towels that were provided for us and then leave them so we weren’t charged. Paul the owner was very nice but I would not recommend the unit to anyone. We had several other friends that had other units that had spent the same amount of money and their units were much cleaner and nicer. We would not recommend this unit or ever return.

Let me start by saying how SAD and FRUSTRATING it is when people try to hurt you in a PUBLIC review AND do not give you the courtesy the entire week of their stay with a call, text or email letting anyone know anything is not satisfactory. 15 FIVE STAR Reviews and then this one!! It would have been nice if someone had been notified and it would have been handled immediately DAY ONE. Unfortunately, I heard about it for the first time in this review. For the record, this unit is cleaned by a professional licensed company that uses hospital grade sanitizing cleaning supplies. Are they perfect? No, but the owner of the company will address any issue that may arise if she is made aware. They normally have the unit in great shape. This cleaning company does several other units in this complex as well. My cleaning crew as well as myself pride ourselves on leaving the unit in excellent shape and we always ask any guest to call upon arrival with any issue or concern so we can address. Unfortunately, this did not happen in this situation. We do not have a washer/dryer in the unit (most units DO NOT on this side of the complex) as stated but the complex units are right below our unit on the ground level, definitely "not across the complex as stated." It is bad if someone "stole" their towels, but again we would have actually brought them new ones had we been made aware. Of course, we were not until reading this review. There is a toaster, iron and ironing board, and sheets for the pullout sofa in the master bedroom closet in the condo. This complex though built in the 80's is a family favorite with great amenities. Families have been coming for decades to enjoy all A Place at the Beach has to offer. Again, every other guest so far has loved this unit and understands it is a great value for a fun family vacation! I hope you will come visit soon! Thank you! Paul - Owner

Room with a view

This is a great location at Atlantic Beach. I’ve only been to A Place at the Beach in the off season, but we love being near Fort Macon. This is a smaller unit, but we only slept here lol! Do be sure to read that you need to bring some basic items..ie. paper towels and such. We are looking at making another trip in the spring!

We had a great time here. We managed to fit three adults, a teen, a tween, and a child and were comfortable. The master bedroom bed is especially wonderful - I slept really well. Balcony does have a view of the beach. Indoor pool and outdoor pools were fun - there is a great waterslide at the outdoor pool that everyone enjoyed. Would definitely stay here again!

Great weekend getaway!

The condo had everything we needed and our family found it comfortable (the AC works especially well which is great for the humid months!). Paul, the owner, was extremely responsive when we had an issue at check in and great at communicating through our entire booking/stay process. This was our first trip with an infant and this unit worked well for our family. The pool was awesome and the grounds were nice for strolling. We hope to stay again!

The pictures do not do justice. While the property is on the smaller side, the irrelevance of this is trumped by the amazing amenities. We didn't go to the hot tub, play putt-putt, play basketball, play tennis, play volleyball because the 150 foot water slide was so much fun. The pool is perfectfor kids with sloping entrances and benches. My brave three year old rode slide with me and alone with provided tubes. As an almost 40 year old I felt like a kid going down the twists and turns of slide. This place is amazing for kids because everything is connected wheelchair/wagon / stroller accessible. I rent based on view and how easy it is to get to beach... this place surpassed my expectations on both... You have a great view from the balcony and you can sit on the love seat and have a fantastic view too. We got to see dolphins from porch!!! The walk to beach was as easy as a ride on elevator down and 30 seconds you're at pool and one minute to toes in sand. If you're worried about noise... don't.... While inside the condo, I didn't hear a single thing outside. I slept amazing on the KING bed. Paul the owner was the best host we've had. He replied to everything we needed in minutes and was genuine about ensuring we had a wonderful family vacation. He definitely fits in there because all the other people there were very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a place you can entertain kids for a week without spending extra money this is as good as it gets.

Much needed vacation

The office on site provides a “welcome packet” for you with all you need to know about the property including maps and directions, as well as recommendations for sight seeing and dining. The elevator in the building is at the opposite end and the complex provides luggage carts for helping you load and unload your luggage. It’s worth the wait to find one and use the elevator. However the stairs aren’t awful, I just don’t like climbing them :). The master bedroom is right outside the breezeway, but the noise level is minimal. The master bath is spacious for two people to occupy at the same time. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The master bath was clean and spacious. The second bathroom was clean. The galley kitchen/hallway had all you would need to cook your meals. The fridge and freezer was clean and did the job it needed to do. It was nice having the ice maker in the freezer to fill up the cooler so I didn’t have to buy bags of ice. The sofa/pullout bed is comfortable to sleep on in both settings. We didn’t need to use it as a bed but pulled it out to see what it was about. The bunk beds in the second room where comfortable and clean. Amenities were fun. The indoor pool is great for a cloudy, rainy, or cooler day or later in the evening. Do not go during the day, it’s like a sauna. Outdoor pool is perfect for all kids and swimming levels. Starting at only 1 ft deep, perfect for littles and for sunbathing while keeping an eye on the kids. Deepest part is 8ft. Tubes are provided for going down the water slide; and ends in 2.5 ft of water. You MUST ride it at least once. We didn’t make it to the playground, mini golf or basketball/tennis courts. Though there was ALWAYS someone playing in those areas. Plenty of public grills as well in the pool/playground common area. The owners have beach chairs available for use but no shade for the beach, bring what you have or buy something while you’re there. Overall stay was wonderful and would love to return for future visits!
