Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We are truly sorry to hear that your stay at Black Mountain Hilltop Retreat did not meet your expectations. First, regarding the TVs, the home is advertised exactly as pictured, and the owner has chosen to only provide TVs in the main living room and primary bedroom. While there is no traditional cable, streaming options via YouTube TV or Spectrum are available. We regret that this setup wasn’t ideal for your family’s preferences. We also apologize for the issues with spiders/cobwebs in the lower level. Being in a mountain environment, pests are often a challenge, but the condition you described is not up to our standards. We wish we had been made aware during your stay so we could have sent our team to address it promptly. Regarding the kitchen stove controls and furniture wear, we have shared your feedback with the homeowner so that improvements may be considered. Additionally, while the home is only 9 miles from town, mountain roads are curvy with lower speed limits, which can make the drive feel longer than the distance suggests. Lastly, we are sorry if our communication came across as anything less than professional or helpful. That is never our intent, and your feedback has been shared with our team. We’re glad you were able to enjoy the beautiful mountain views, and we sincerely appreciate your suggestions as we continue to improve the guest experience :)
