First time using VRBO, might be my last overpriced fir what we got
Don’t book this unit if stairs are an issue or if you plan to cook. We assumed bc it was a ground level unit that we wouldn’t have to deal with stairs. A kitchenette to me means cooktop, fridge,& kitchen essentials like pots, pans, chopping/paring knives, a microwave cover, etc. a single hot plate & a very small frying pan to cook with limits options as does the single sink in the unit that is in the bathroom. I guess we should have asked. We also should have asked about linens as we were given 4 washcloths for 2 adults for a week.
I expected enough clean linens without having to ask for more.
The couch is too big for the unit so you have to turn sideways to pass between it & the counter.
The lighting is poorly thought out given the windows face a shaded area. In part due to the fact that there are no night stands given the massive couch and the floor lamp didn’t work. Last but not least…
Our room code expired a day early while we were at the on-site pool. Our phones, wallets, passports, etc. were locked in the room. I assume this is due to an error by the host as we added an extra day the same day we made the booking. Fortunately the front desk had contact information but we had to wait 1.5 hrs before we got back into the unit. As the host couldn’t explain why the room code didn’t work, we did not feel comfortable with both of us leaving it again until we packed up today.
Ruined our last evening in Maui.
