Ocean House is a family-friendly beachfront resort that is within walking distance of fine-dining, shopping and concert/festival venues. Some activities include: charter fishing boats, boat & jet ski rentals, Para-sailing, dolphin cruises, sunset sailboat cruises, beautiful back bays for boating, tubing, skiing and fishing, amusement parks, great restaurants with entertainment for all ages, golf, outlet malls, live concerts at The Wharf Amphitheater, and of course, plenty of sugary sand beaches.

We didn’t get to enjoy your beach as intended. Unfortunately I had a medical emergency and was hospitalized for4 days. Our toes never touched the sand. I’m ok now but was scare. We had to check out early. Hopefully another time.

Great spot

Great spot for two adults and two young children. The condo was beautiful and spacious. It had everything we needed. The location was great, within short walking distance to a local store with coffee shop as well as several restaurants and without small children, an easy walk to The Hangout and that area. Elevator was quick and never a long wait. Carts were plentiful for hauling luggage or groceries. Pool was lovely and a great size. Staff in the building were visible and friendly. We will definitely be back.

It’s a lovely condo and was updated; but the Master bedrooms mattress was horrible. Tried one side, then the other and then in the middle of the bed… it really should be replaced. Besides that, we had a wonderful time. Make sure you place your parking tag so that Ashley can see it. I had a convertible and since my tag would blow away, it wasn’t on my dash. I got a nice nasty gram!! Go figure!!

End of Summer Trip

This is a fantastic place to stay! Beautiful ocean front view and a quick walk to the beach. The condo was very clean. The decor was welcoming and beautiful,not dated. We had a small electrical issue and maintenance was quick to respond & remedy the problem. Communication with the management was friendly and professional .There were plenty of kitchen utensils, dinnerware as well as a kurig, ®ular coffee pot, Bring your own essentials for meal prep. We will rent this place again.

Great location poor accuracy of listing

My friends and I planned a trip 6 months prior to going. We are all teachers and really needed a break. This is our first time we were all able to get together and go somewhere. When we got there, we found out that we needed to pay $30 cash per parking spot. That would that was never listed before we got there. Also the code they gave us for the door did not work. We called management and they couldn't get it to work. We sat outside in wet bathing suits and had a wait for someone to come who was 30 minutes away to let us in. The actual place was beautiful, but the description was false.

Regarding the parking fees, all of the details for parking were provided in your personalized guest book which was emailed when you booked your reservation. Each Homeowners Association (HOA) determines its own policies and fees and we provide the most up to date information available to us. The guest book includes tons of helpful information for your stay like wifi passwords, amenity and gate codes and more. We hope you found it useful 🙂If there's anything additional you think would be helpful for our guests to know, we'd love your input. We're glad to hear that our maintenance technician was able to promptly assist you with the door code. We understand how frustrating it can be to wait, especially after a long journey. Please know that door codes are set to activate at the designated check-in time and will not allow entry prior to that time. Nice view , quiet resort

We had problems with the condo door , most condo doors with a keypad … once they are closed they lock until you put the code in , ours could be opened as well as our neighbors as we asked them as well just by turning the knob with no code needed ! This was shocking as we didn’t know this for the first day and a half , when we finally locked it manually by bolt then our code wouldn’t open it but luckily one of our party was in the room … very scary as all of our belongings could have been stolen . Otherwise room was fine except the wine box and bungee cord somebody had over the air vent in the guest bedroom . We didn’t really know why it was there so we left it but it was pretty tacky .

Overall Nice Condo, Dirty Floord

I have to say for the most part, this was a nice enough condo, right on the beach and nicely furnished. I only have two complaints, the floors were FILTHY. I even bought my own mop and vacuumed and mopped twice a day and never quite got them really clean. I refused to go barefoot there was so much grime on those tiles. This was clearly a long time neglect. Also the locks to the balcony doors were broken and I was not told. A random maintenance guy showed up to look at the locks, but was unable to fix them. I was not aware he was coming as it was right after we arrived. Other than the floors (that turned our feet black), the condo was pretty clean and we enjoyed our stay.

The location is stunning with views from the terrace across the Lake and down on the lovely hillside village of Nesso. We had a great 3 week stay in the quirky house, where Mira the house manager was more than helpful and available if required. The house is well equipped if you choose to cook, though we didn’t. We felt that the indoor and outdoor furniture could have been more comfortable, including the main double bed.There are 2 well stocked mini markets quite close by 100-200m down the steps, 2 bars about the same distance and a restaurant an easy 300m walk - open for dinner and some lunches, others are lower down the steep village hill.Nesso is a pretty and quaint village, but very very hilly. The walk down the very steep steps and alleyways to the ferry port, Google estimated at 17mins. Coming back up was quite hard for two quite fit seniors, requiring rest breaks along with other tourists.The roads on the Nesso side of the lake to Como or Bellagio are very narrow. As an experienced driver in Italy, our Fiat Panda was about the largest car I would drive there. 15km to Como often took 30mins mostly in 3rd gear. Equally the little road from the main road to the private car park was less than 2m wide, (there is a warning sign at the turn in) with very few (but some) passing places. Car parking spaces around the different levels of the windy road through Nesso are at a premium. We never found one in the 3 weeks stay in early June. It’s a great for exploring the Lake.

Melissa, thank you for leaving a review-we wish we were along on this Italy trip with you-sounds delightful! We think there was a mix up on the reservation/review end of things. This reservation was at Ocean House in Gulf Shores Alabama. We hope it was an equally enjoyable trip!
