Charming guest house on Lake Champlain peninsula!Amazing sunsets,swimming and kayaking access just steps from the front door.Marina at the end of the street with boat ramp can accommodate a larger boat on trailer or jet ski and we have plenty of parking! There is also free public access to the lake for boats under the Champlain bridge just 5 minutes away! The guest house has broadband WIFI and Youtube T.V 25 minutes to Middlebury, 45 minutes to Burlington,and close to many of Vermonts' beautiful hiking trails! We're located just 35 miles from I-87 Adirondack Northway and just a half mile from the picturesque Champlain bridge that connects New York and Vermont!We maintain all sanitary requirements as set forth in the Vermont guidelines.We have a minimum 7 night stay from July 4th 2026 to Labor Day 2026 and a 3 night stay minimum the remainder of the year!Please note: We are offering a 10% discount for weekly bookings in the month of November and the guest house will be closed from December 15th 2025 until May 20th 2026.

Couldn’t have been better

Debbie and Mark were amazing. Debbie was in such great communication, was incredibly helpful, and completely accommodating. My son and I visit family in the area every year and I will never stay anywhere else. Not only did they stock the house with everything we needed (and some yummy surprises), but Debbie went out of her way to find some games and toys for my son. The property is lovely and the views breathtaking. Everyday we saw beautiful animals - bald eagles, bunnies, a deer and the adorable resident groundhog. If you’re looking for relaxation and tranquility close to excellent cultural and nature activities, this is the place! We can’t wait to return next summer!

Exceptional Stay

From the communication before our stay, to the warm welcome and thoughtful extras provided throughout our visit, we truly felt like honored guests. The lovely cottage provided a cozy retreat after busy days of sightseeing, guided by Debbie's thoughtful suggestions. The peaceful location in a beautiful setting on Lake Champlain provided the perfect base for exploring this area of Vermont. We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful place to stay for our vacation. The Guest House is perfect in every way. We were treated like family! Debbie went over and beyond to provide a sanctuary for our vacation. The location is quiet and peaceful. The fishing is great... my husband caught a huge largemouth from shore just ten minutes after we arrived! Debbie's coffee cake was supreme! We will definitely be back next year!

Stunning Location, Awesome Hosts!

The house is clean and lovingly cared for. It's obvious there was great attention given to the nautical decor throughout the house. The kids loved the loft being the "kid zone." The linens and towels are better than mine at home! The main house, where our hosts lived and remained throughout our stay, was located far enough away to allow privacy in the guest house. Yet they were close enough and attentive enough to take care of issues immediately if needed. The property is beautiful!! You are on the tip of a peninsula jutting into and overlooking Lake Champlain and staring directly at the Adirondacks! There is water on three sides and access to the lake the entire waterfront. The hosts are too modest about the impressive location of this property. We made several day trips from this location: the ruins of Crown Point, Fort Ticonderoga, Ausable Chasm, a day in Burlington, Saratoga Springs, all very manageable drives, most of which also offered breathtaking scenery. Even though the covid pandemic is raging, we found plenty to do. The hosts are honest in their description. I would not recommend young children, you are basically on a cliff with steep drops to the lake. If it's difficult to go up and down steps or walk down a hill AND it's important that you be able to access the water, this might be a disappointment. Also there is no beach. It is a balancing act to get in the water, but you can also just lounge on the large slate rocks to relax and soak up some sun. We used the floaties in the lake, their corn hole set, and spent almost every night on the roomy deck grilling dinner. Also used the firepit, which had been expertly set up for easy starting! They have 2 boats but we never got to them. Mark and Debbie were incredibly welcoming. They even provided some staple groceries to get us started after a 12 hour car ride to get there! We (me, my husband, two teenagers) highly recommend this location, just make sure it's a good fit for you. It you're not sure, just ask, they'll give you an honest answer!! Two thumbs way up! Teresa

Debbie Malmos is, hands down, the best hostess on VRBO. She requires so little of renters and her generosity is extraordinary. The guest house is impeccably clean, well laid out, and so, so comfortable. There were just two of us and we enjoyed every minute. Be sure to try out the swing near the lake. (I did, with my book, a cup of tea, and a throw blanket.) It's just so peaceful. Also, it faces west and it's a great spot for watching the sun set. We had a wonderful time and already have dates picked out for next year. We will enjoy a much longer stay! Thanks so much, Debbie!

Fabulous place. Very calm and quiet, right on the shores of Lake Champlain. Very comfortable and spacious indoors with excellent outdoor amenities. Debbie was there to greet us, show us around the property and grounds. The kitchen was well stocked, and the hosts provided some great snacks, fruit, butter, eggs and bacon! Even a coffee cake! The Guest House is on an amazing site, with Lake Champlain on three sides, and many beautiful trees. The house was immaculate and well provided with linens and towels. Debbie and Mark are lovely hosts, very responsive, but not at all intrusive. They went above and beyond what one might expect.Great wifi and tv reception too!Vergennes and Middlebury are 25-30 minutes away, with good shopping and restaurants. We highly recommend the Guest House!

Lovely Place and and a great host

Debbie was a great host. She greeted us on our arrival and had generously stocked us with groceries and a yummy homemade coffee cake. The cute little place was spacious and cozy with a beautiful outdoor space with the view of the lake. It was a great location to our daughter’s house in Middlebury, her wedding venue in Bridport and to Basin Harbor for the rehearsal dinner. We were extremely pleased with our stay.

The Best Ever

The hostess was there to meet us. The rental was supplied with the most complete range of foods and beverages that we had ever encountered in a B&B. The cottage is quiet, cozy, and the location is charming. Excellent gluten-free coffee cake!
