Nostalgic Cottage Great Location
This is a pleasant little cottage overlooking the village of Beddgelert and suitably placed for some amazing walks. Its clean and has relatively good enough space for a family of 2+2 only and great for that nostalgic feeling with Rupert Bear. In good weather it makes it all the better but if its raining persistently you may find yourself leaving early. The double bed as mentioned by previous tourists is small and difficult to sleep in for two people and in need of a serious upgrade to a harder mattress. The TV has been replaced recently with a new Toshiba 32 inch HD but the DVD player is ancient with the very first video jack plugs-giving poor quality images and is in need of a serious upgrade to a HDMI version-its cheap these days so I see no reason why not. The supplied DVD's in the cottage are old and in poor playable quality-so bring your own (don't bring blue-ray they will not play). The neighbours cottage is occupied by a part disabled woman who has regular health care visits and so you must be prepared sometimes to be blocked in the drive. I suggest you therefore, when available to do so to that you reverse your own car back onto the cottage drive so its easier to get out if you wish to tour about a bit. Now the real issue in this modern age is the absence of internet in the cottage-a huge let down I am afraid. The owners must consider this on a serious note as the complete absence of any mobile signals in this area make the situation much worse. The other issue is the front and rear gardens are not really suitable for young children to play in-they are on a downward slope. Lastly, the owners must defrost the black fridge freezer before it explodes with ice build-up. With a bit more care and attention it would be a perfect place.
