We had a great visit. Plenty of zones to enjoy the weather or relax in the cool living areas. Firepit was a big hit. Kitchen has modern appliances. The long dining room table became jigsaw puzzle area to lure kids from screens. Beach is clean with white sand and gradual entrance for the kids. Lovely walkable town. Host was accessable and responsive.

Second summer renting

We enjoyed our stay so much last year we returned, only to find some upgrades!!! The garage was turned into a summer kitchen\entertainment area, the deck was enlarged and new furniture added. We love the layout that allows everyone their own space when needed. it’s central location permits easy access to downtown, nearby towns and events as well as quick access to Port Elgin’s incredible beach. The owners are quick to answer any texts and contacted us early on our stay to see if we needed anything, inquired about comfort and if we had any requests or recommendations. We couldn’t ask for better hosts. Already planning next year’s stay!!!

Peaceful Port Elgin Cottage

We had a relaxing stay. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and to uptown for restaurants and the farmer's market. The backyard was peaceful and we enjoyed the fire pit and dinner outside in the fenced in yard.

Despite an unexpected issue with the air conditioning during our stay, we were very impressed with how the owner handled the situation. Perfect for families !

This cottage has 4 large rooms, with a huge backyard and enough space to comfortably have 8 people. The speakers on the back deck were added bonus! . Its 10min walk to the beach and close to the restaurant/town area. The check in process was so easy !

Comfortable stay.

We enjoyed our time! All the basic things we needed. Lots of space for guests inside and out. Good location to business and 10 minute walk to the beach. Enough amenities to keep us busy while relaxing or at the beach. Good communication from the host. Cleanliness could be improved.

Port Elgin stay

The cottage was very clean, comfortable and modern. Lots of space & seating. Beds were comfortable.l, good a/c, wifi & movies through roku, crave tv apps. We had all the amenities to make us feel at home. Easy walk to the beach and into town as it is situated midway down mill street. We would definitely stay here again.

Port Elgin Hacienda Vacation

The four large bedrooms, large dining room/ family room sitting area and large fully equipped functional kitchen were excellent for the family . The huge backyard with deck, table and chairs, barbecue and fire pit was so much fun. It was nice to have two bathrooms. The fantastic location was a 8 minute walk to the main beach and a five minute walk to everything downtown We hope to rent again.

Wonderful Week

We were very impress with this cottage. It was extremely clean. There was a large deck and a very large back yard. The interior is very spacious with plenty of room. We could not have asked for more. I would recommend this cottage and will rebook as well.

We had a wonderful time. The cottage was clean and neighborhood was quiet. Nice to be fairly close to the beach and the downtown. My only complaint was the bbq was disgusting. Who ever was there before our visit left it a mess. But overall was a great week 😀

Port Elgin Hacienda Vacation

Great location, 10 minute walk to the beach, 5 minutes to down town. Four large bedrooms. Great back yard , lots of room to play games, sit and eat on the deck, camp fire, propane barbecue. . The host was quick to respond. Main floor has lots of space, kitchen , dining room and TV area. Air conditioning was great on hot days. We hope to book again next year.

Relaxing getaway

Enjoyed the cottage very much! Teenage kids loved being close to town to go for walks and having their independence. Beach was a short drive, loved the sandy entrance for the water, no rocks. House is large , easily accommodates 10 family members. Kitchen is well equipped (fridge, stove, microwave, Keurig coffee maker …. Etc.). Place does need a good cleaning and new furniture (some of which are falling apart). Shower curtain was an abomination… needed to be replaced. Large backyard and beautiful patio with gas barbecue. Good location , close to town and beach (walking distance)

Wonderful spacious home!

We stayed at this home with a variety of age ranges from baby - adult. This home was very spacious and allowed for everyone to have their own space and were not crowded. The home was very clean and had so many basic amenities which was very helpful! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. We appreciated the individual AC units in the rooms so everyone could set their own temperatures. Only about a 10 minute walk from the main beach which was very convenient. Large backyard for our family to enjoy the sunshine, BBQ and have a fire. We really enjoyed our time here! :)

Great location, not for people with allergies

Great location, mid point between the main shopping street and beach. House is stocked with everything you could need. Nice back yard and deck. Unfortunately I didn’t realize that allowing pets would mean dog hair and smell throughout the house. Also there is a very strong odour of mildew in the front entry and front bedroom. People with allergy sensitivities beware.

Hi Miia So sorry, we did not realize this and have looked into it. The house is thoroughly cleaned weekly so it will be investigated. I assure you there is no mold or mildew in the home. Appreciate your response
