WILL NOT RETURN. A/C issue our entire trip & dirty condo.
When we arrived the condo was very warm. The thermostat was set at 75. We thought, “no big deal.. we’ll just lower it”. We lowered it to 69 before we left for dinner and when we came back it hadn’t moved even a single degree lower. We called the customer service number provided and they assured us it would be fixed the following morning. Nothing happened the next morning. The condo was still a hot 75 degrees. It was high nineties outside with 90% humidity. It’s Florida in July. So a/c wasn’t a luxury, it was necessity. Day two of the same a/c issues led to me constantly texting the helpline and calling. They told us they could see it was 75 in the condo and they’d fix it. We are growing very upset at this point. The second night at about 2am the a/c finally was set to 69 by whoever remotely controls it. But by 10am the next morning it was back up to 75 degrees. Every single day we called, text, called, and text again about the a/c issue and the hot condo. I had a 5 year old who was hot and burnt from a day at the beach who couldn’t sleep comfortable bc the condo was hot. No one ever fixed our issue until our last night there. One customer service rep told my husband to “open a window if we’re hot”. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!” Open a window on the Florida coast in late July? It’s 98 degrees and humid. He was so insanely unprofessional I cannot even believe he has a job in hospitality. Myself and my husband spent every single day of our vacation we paid a lot of money for.. trying to get the ac fixed in the condo for our family to bd comfortable. It was miserable.
Not to mention when we arrived the floors were sticky. All our shoes stuck to them and if we walked barefoot we had to wash our feet afterwards. It was so BAD I had to go to the store the night we arrived and buy bleach to clean the floors ourselves. The showers in the master were filled with black (I’m assuming mold) all in the bottom and the cracks around the doors. I should not have had to arrive after traveling from Oklahoma all day to mop floors and to a dirty bathroom. There was a towel left dirty in the sink that had to be used to dry the floors AFTER we bleached them. The floors were so dirty that the towel was still brown/grey AFTER we had mopped the floors. Imagine how dirty that towel would’ve been from the floors before I cleaned them.
I’m honestly so disappointed in this condo and the manner our issues were handled by the customer service at Vacasa that myself nor my family will return to this condo nor any rental that’s managed by Vacasa. I will leave reviews on every site I saw this listing and I will pass this info to all my family and friends. I would hate for them to experience what we did on their family vacations.
