Die Euterscheune befindet sich im Osten unseres Grundstücks. Große Eingangshalle - Vom Boden bis zur gewölbten Decke führt eine offene Küche / Essbereich. Fenster nach Osten über das Moor. Unten Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett, Fenster nach Norden. Treppe runter Nasszelle mit WC.
Treppe zum Zweibettzimmer (2 Doppelbetten mit getrennten Decken) Fenster nach Osten und Norden. Gehweg zum Mezzinine-Sitzbereich, zwei 2-Sitzer-Sofas, Fenster nach Westen und Norden. Fernseher mit kostenlosem Blick in die Küche / Essbereich, Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss und Sitzecke. Blueray-Player im Wohnzimmer mit einigen DVDs. Wenn Sie viel mehr Auswahl wünschen, sind Sie herzlich eingeladen, ins Haus zu kommen und aus einer großen Auswahl zu wählen. Wir wollten den Raum einfach nicht überladen.
Die Küche verfügt über ein Calor-Gas-Kochfeld und einen einzigen Backofen / Grill. Es gibt eine Mikrowelle, einen Geschirrspüler (mit Tabletten) und einen Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach. Toaster, Slow Cooker, Bügeleisen und Bügelbrett. Wir haben keine Waschmaschine zur Verfügung gestellt. Wenn Sie jedoch etwas waschen möchten, können Sie gerne unsere Waschmaschine und unseren Wäschetrockner nutzen.
Eine Luftwärmepumpe liefert die Energie für das Warmwasser und die Heizung.
Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze auf einer Schotterstraße und eine blockgepflasterte Sitzecke.

Can’t fault this place at all from start to finish we had a fantastic stay

We spent a few days at this beautiful place. Everything is as it’s detailed, the hosts were a pleasure to deal with, very friendly, the pool was absolutely perfect, and I cannot fault this place at all. We will be staying here once again and I highly recommend this for anyone wanting a relaxed break.

Beautiful barn, cosy and spotlessly clean

We had a wonderful few days here and enjoyed the comfortable and warm barn in October. We found everything we needed and the barn was immaculate and well presented. Wonderful location in every way

This was our 2nd stay at the incomparable Udder Barn and we'll definitely be back. This superb barn conversion was as pristine as when we arrived last year and is a credit to the quality of Sue's choice of fittings and decor. The shower modification worked particularly well. We love the peacefulness and rural charm of the Fen. The location is idyllic. Sue and Jim are great hosts and are always there if needed. Must remember to book early for next year. Would hate to miss out.

Home from Home!

Sue and Jim are very friendly and welcoming and pleasant to talk with. I loved the place as soon as we arrived and went in the door. It’s very open inside and nicely decorated, a good mix of old and new, and it’s very light when the sun is shining. It’s also well insulated, so no need to worry about getting cold if staying between late autumn and early spring. The accommodation is very clean! I always take cleaning products when I go and stay in holiday accommodation (I’m a germaphobe), but I didn’t feel the need to go around cleaning everything. Sue has thought of just about everything you could possibly need during your stay and provides tea, coffee, condiments, milk, bottled water, biscuits, blankets for snuggling down and watching TV or DVDs, which are available to use in the lounge area, nice quality towels and flannels. There are facilities for doing laundry, if needed, a small dishwasher and kitchen cleaning products are available as well. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be able to come back again next year. We bought Poplar Farm in 1992 and have spent the last 30 years renovating the house. That is ongoing as all old properties tend to be! In 2010 we saved the roof on the old dairy barn (circa 1740-1780) before it collapsed and decided to convert the barn into a holiday let, Udder Barn. It was a labour of love over a three year period - so my husband kept telling me! We completed the project in late 2015 and are hoping that you will come and stay and enjoy what we have created. We are chuffed to bits on how it has turned out and really want to share this lovely barn with you along with our beautiful huge skies - sunrises and sunsets.
We have an outdoor heated pool which is usually open from late April through to early October (depending on weather) which our guest would be more than welcome to use either for a swim or just sit around the pool and relax.

We choose to live here on the fens for the quietness, isolation and peace. We love it. Winter can be wet and wild, however, sitting outside on a summers evening is so quiet you can close your eyes and be anywhere in the world - it is so relaxing.
We hope you will join us and also appreciate this beautiful rural location our huge open skies and the abundant wildlife around us.

Isolated, very quiet, no traffic noise. Enjoy spectacular sun rises and sun sets, the beauty of the Fens is so different to any other area in England you will surprise yourself how quickly it grows on you. Fabulous light if you are a painter.
