Relaxation on tap when gazing upon the beauty of Lake Lemon through the impressive picture windows. Unwind after exploring the neighboring wineries or shopping in Nashville. The cozy electric fireplace provides the perfect setting for creating memories with family and friends. While noshing on breakfast, you can bird-watch at the ample dining table through the large picture windows. Take in an evening meal while watching the sun set into the woods. A cabin for all seasons! Frolic in the outdoor pool to cool off after a long nature hike. Endless outdoor activities abound at Lake Lemon, and quaint dining and shopping in nearby Nashville will fill your days and nights.

This spacious cabin offers plenty of space for the entire family, including the furry four-legged ones. The bathroom is newly renovated. Along with the two bedrooms, 1 Sweet Retreat has a sleeper sofa.

Rural Environment Notice
Our cabins are located in the beautiful woods and countryside of Brown County, Indiana. While we provide routine professional pest control and keep our homes clean and well-maintained, guests may occasionally see seasonal pests such as mice, flies, lady beetles (Asian beetles), or stink bugs — especially in the fall and spring.

These harmless insects are part of life in a rural setting. We do everything possible to minimize their presence and appreciate your understanding as part of the authentic Brown County experience!

POOL: Open May 19th through September 12th.

PET-FRIENDLY PROPERTY: There is a $75 fee per pet. Moondance Vacation Homes proudly donates a portion to the Brown County Humane Society when you bring your pet and pay your pet fee.

ALL EVENTS, DAY GUESTS, AND PARTIES ARE PROHIBITED WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM PROPERTY MANAGEMENT.

Effective July 1, 2025, the county has raised the innkeeper's tax from 5% to 8%.

The cabin was very festive and had a nice lit Christmas tree. Well kept and very clean...wife and I enjoyed the hot tub and doing puzzles in the evenings...good wifi and tv in living room with large comfy furniture. Dollar store 10 miles away and 17 min to Nashville center.

Cabin in the Woods

* Cabin was clean and well-stocked.* Coffee Bar was awesome*Attention to pet owners needs was great*Couldn't get TV in guest room to work, required sign-in*Remove all those pillows from the beds. They are cumbersome to try and store at night, and they need to be cleaned.*The beds need blankets. The afghans need to be washed.*We enjoyed the front porch but not the view of the neighbors piled-high trash and debri.*We couldn't get the dishwasher to run properly.*We paid 300 a night, which we never would have done except we needed to be at IU for graduation.*Replace bathroom rugs*We could see that the owner made a nice attempt at making guests comfortable.

Fall Family Time

Enjoyed family time outdoors at nearby Brown County State Park in beautiful October. The vibe was perfect for hanging out, playing games and enjoying the great outdoors. Loved the privacy and quiet of the wooded lot!

Better in than out.

The interior of the place is very cozy, inviting warming and very just downright charming. But the outside could use some definite TLC the front by the front deck or porch bunch of dead flowers weeds just looked uninviting. Also we have trees growing out of the gutters. The house on the outside has spiderwebs, spiders, big huge spiders, and wasps. The outside area needs to be addressed because if you’re gonna have such a nice interior, you should have just as nice of an exterior exterior also, what everybody sees first This is just one person or one couples opinion, but also the screen doors need to be re-fitted so that they don’t have gaps in the outside all the way around them

Thanksgiving birthday getaway

The property was a perfect space for our small family getaway. We loved the hot tub on the cold evenings. The beds were very comfortable. My husband enjoyed watching football on the large living room TV. The kitchen was well stocked and labeled nicely. We loved our s’mores care package! Our youngest dog fully enjoyed frolicking in the fall leaves all around the property. A bonus to us was the game room with a pool table. We had a really nice stay!

Dead Carcass stench

The aesthetics were nice, but the stench from a dead carcass found later in the kitchen was unbearable. We didn’t know what the sickening smell was, avoided being in the cabin for the day, hoping it would be gone aired out by the time we returned. It was not and we could not sleep. One of our guests had to leave because it was causing her nausea. We reported the smell to the company at this point when the smell had escalated to the point of gagging and not being able to sleep. When we found the source of the stench the next morning, a decomposing squirrel carcass in the kitchen that had clearly been there before we arrived. We sent pictures asking for a refund due to these unsanitary conditions. We were given a nominal partial refund with correspondence blaming us for timing of report (due to giving it a chance for the smell to disappate), not knowing the source. Very disappointing.

Had a terrific time at this relaxing home located in a quiet private setting. Enjoyed the pool during the day and gazing at the stars at night from the hot tub. The home was well furnished and had all the conveniences in the kitchen and throughout the house. The owners thought of everything. Communication with the property manager was great. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful clean property

Overall amazing, pool and house were very clean. Property is beautiful and secluded. Only comment is there is only a charcoal grill and there was minimal charcoal provided. I would specify grill type in the listing so people can prepare. Overall 10/10!
