What a view!

We had a very nice stay. We only stayed one night but the bed was very comfortable and the condo has everything you would need. The view of the ocean from the balcony was fantastic. We have a YouTube channel called Purposely Rerouted and we did a little tour of the condo for our St. Augustine Night of Lights video. We would definitely book again.

Beautiful view

The balcony view was spectacular. The bed was really comfortable. We loved the location. However it was really small. We thought we were renting a condo and it was more like a hotel. So we felt it was a little pricey for the space. However we were last minute shoppers so partly our fault. It was beachfront so that cured everything .

Reviewer Comments: We had never been to Crescent beach before and found it to be a beautiful beach with sand like sugar! Loved the wild flowers growing every where out of the sanddunes. The pool was big with comfortable chairs and a nice view. The condo we were unfortunately disappointed in. The a/c are all wall units which is fine but the bedroom one was so loud we had to shut it off to sleep. The blinds in the bedroom don't fut the windows to great do it let in too much light. There were no curtains to pull to help block out the light. The bathroom was really small but the hardest thing for us was the vanity sink was so low it was the height for a child@ This room was not handicapped accessible for a possible reason. The bed was comfortable but the living room furniture was not. It was decorated nicely but not comfortable!

The Beacher’s Lodge was great. Wonderful location, clean , great restaurants. The condo we stayed it not the best. It was clean, had kitchen supplies that we needed. The bed was comfortable, but nothing else was. The living room furniture was very uncomfortable, so low it was hard to get up put of. Cold when sitting on. The furniture on balcony was very uncomfortable. We had to go buy cheep lawn chairs so we could sit outside and enjoy the view. Would stay at Beacher’s but not this condo.

Oceanfront Unwind

I had a wonderful stay at this beach condo. The check-in process was seamless, and a very kind maintenance gentleman was incredibly helpful with my luggage (although this is not their job). The cleanliness, spaciousness, and the stunning view of the room were all impressive. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful amenities like the beach chairs (located in bedroom closet), toiletries, and coffee packets. The sitting area was spacious with plenty of seating, although I found the white sofa a bit uncomfortable. However, that was a minor issue for me as I spent most of my time at the beach or sleeping. The highlight of my stay was the balcony, where I enjoyed my morning coffee while watching the beautiful sunrise. Overall, it was a perfect place to unwind after a business trip.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay and was happy to see the condo was beautiful and clean. The rooms were pretty quiet considering the set up of the building. Property staff were always friendly and responsive. My only issue is the property is pet friendly (this room does not allow pets, but the overall property does); and on multiple occasions we had to dog droppings in the parking lots and on the beach. While the property management team can’t be help completely responsible for this, I’d like to see stricter policies on owners not cleaning up after their pets. While we loved the room and enjoyed our stay, we will likely find another property next year to ensure our children don’t have to play on the beach and worry about dodging these messes.

Barracks at the Beach

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Basically, it was the worst stay we have ever had with you. First, you eliminated the 4for3 bargain. Second, you let some pervert tear down the Bar&Grill, which is where we wanted to have our 10th anniversary dinner. Next, your TV listings did NOT have the channels we enjoy readily available(Golf, Hallmark, and FOXnews). Also, the room is poorly furnished; inadequate in size with absolutely no storage. Also, we were not listed on the Daily Cleaning list causing Shay to have to come to the room Thursday afternoon. Personally, I feel that the stay should be “comped”, but I don’t think you have the class to do such. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

We apologize that we fell short of your expectations during this stay with us. We do see where your room was serviced by housekeeping on the days you did not have a do not disturb on the door. As for the bar and grill next door we are no way affiliated with that property so we have no control over the sale of that business. The cable is provided by the condo association however, the front desk does have a list of units that have upgraded their cable package should you care to give us another try in the future.

What a Disappointment

Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to the Beacher's Lodge for more than a decade for stays of up to a week, and always book Gold category rooms. In the last years, we've noticed that units are run down even at the highest tier. Our latest visit made us never want to visit the Beacher's Lodge again. Fixtures and furniture were dingy. The sink didn't work, nor did the big light in the living room. We had to call hospitality to get things functional before we could even relax. The table in the living room isn't even big enough to eat at, and when we tried to open it all the way up, we found that one of the fold-out legs had been nailed in place. It was our worst stay at the Beacher's. Sadly, the experience didn't live up to the pretty photos.

Great Location, Great for Pets, not great otherwise

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked this apartment for a week in December. It has a million-dollar view of the ocean, and at high tide with the doors open the roar of the sea drowns out everything else. You cannot top this unobstructed view; if only the clouds hadn't obscured the horizon we might have seen the sun rise out of the ocean.That's the only part of this apartment that's worth it, however. There's a table that you might expand for four people to eat at, as we had planned a dinner, but it is screwed shut to disallow that expansion: cheap, shoddy. Cheap and shoddy goes also for the TV in the living room, no longer wall mounted but perched on the table obstructing the eating of breakfast and the only suitable work surface in the place. They left the wall mont bracket to show you that they once knew and cared, but no longer. Worst were the chairs which caused us both extreme pain when we rose from them. I had to grab extra pillows so as not to cause damage to my coccyx, an experience I've not had elsewhere. The fridge lacked a guard for the door and so we couldn't easily fit our milk containers; when we called, twice, about the problem nothing was done. There was duct tape on the couch and ants in the cabinet; fortunately we stored no food for them. The fan in the bathroom was so loud we could not hear each other.Overall, I expected more than the cheapest, shoddiest, junkiest materials. If it doesn't bother you, the views are great and the pet owners and pets are friendly.

This condo had the wall tv stop working at the time of this reservation, so the loaner TV was brought in as a temporary remedy but unfortunately did not fit the existing wall mount. The regular wall TV is back in place and working fine now. We do agree this table set in this condo is not ideal, but as these are individually owned condos there is also individual decorating. And items like a refrigerator door shelf bracket do take quite a bit of time to order or replace, if available to purchase at all. There are a variety of suites to choose from, just give us a call and we can offer our insights when you book your next million dollar view, we are sure we can find the perfect suite for your next stay.

Unexpectedly nice

We stopped there as a midway point between our daughter’s place in Boca Raton and our destination of Charleston, SC. We wanted to see Historical St. Augustine. I was concerned about some negative reviews but totally put at ease when we arrived. Our room was ready 1 hour prior to check in. Lobby staff was cordial. Our room 312 was small but very functional with a very nice balcony view of the Ocean. We appreciated the midsize refrigerator, microwave, oven, and coffee pot. There were adequate dishes and utensils for our 3 day stay. The bathroom was very small but clean and fresh. I was fascinated by the sink faucet which lighted up the stream of water when turned on. The king bed was comfortable. There were no tables or drawers to put our suitcases on but we didn’t have much stuff. There were some shelves. There was a couch and good chair. The small kitchen table had 2 poor quality wooden slat folding chairs with pads. The cracked slats of the chair pinched the back of my thighs several times so I had to be careful to position the chair pad to cover this hazard. We did have 2 maintenance issues. First, no hot water on the first night. A service person came promptly in the morning and reset the breaker for the tankless water heater and it was fixed fast. Our tub drained very slowly on our last day, filling the tub during a shower. We reported this before checkout but did not want the maintenance interruption until after checkout. We enjoyed the broad flat beach more than we expected. We ate at Safe Harbor restaurant, adjacent to the Lodge. It was a nice alternative to the other super busy, long wait restaurants. There are many stairs to climb to get to the elevators. To unload luggage, we had to pull are cart up a rather steep ramp. We were able to do this, but people with mobility problems would have a hard time. Overall, the beauty of the view, quietness, and congeniality of staff and guests made for an unexpectedly

Worst vacation rental in 30 years

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the worst vacation rental in over 30 years of rentals. We started our vacation with air conditioning in just half the house. We rented the 4 bedroom house because we needed 4 bedrooms. We had to rent a hotel for 3 nights for 3 of our guests because you cannot sleep in Florida without air. While the rental company did everything they could it did not cool the bedrooms. The air conditioning company could not get the part. The portable air conditioner units could not go into the bedrooms because the bedrooms didn’t have window just double doors. The doors to the pool and to the upstairs deck did not lock. The handy man came to fix it but couldn’t. So again the rental company tried to fix the issue but did not come thru. When we left the house we had to leave the house unlocked. The one year old had to be supervised at all time. This was not an issue for him because he is the only grandchild and both sets of his grandparents were there. Plus he is an angel. It would have been scary with several child or a sleep walker. The minor inconveniences of the old rusty grill that could not be used and the pans that did not work on the fancy stove just made each day a challenge. They agreed to give us $450 refund if we didn’t give a negative review. I agreed to this but then they wanted a positive review. So this review is costing me $450 but my positive review is not sale.
