Upon arrival we quickly surmised we should have booked more time. After reviewing simple directions and information from Paul (Susan couldn't make it) we settled our belongings and food and sat down to soak up the vistas around us from "the top of the world"! It had been a long drive from Jackson (as well as the trip from Key West) and to know that we could kick back in the cabin where all the staples and necessities we provided. The accommodations where immaculate and it was evident that it was well cared for. We enjoyed making a fire each night, walking around the property which felt like we were in our own national park complete with trails and a variety of birds and animals including Mae and Jake (the resident mule and horse which were Paul & Susan's personal onsite grass managers), and generally remaining in gratitude for this peaceful place. We were also able to have dinner with Paul's sister and husband who own the house below us before we left and will ever think of them as the best of people. We are planning on coming back next year for at least two weeks as we have yet to 'break the surface' of this place, the folks we have met and the surrounding area that goes on for miles... When my wife and I arrived, we were met by the owners. We were given a tour of the house and property to familiarize ourselves with the area. The Seastrands answered any questions we had and gave us contact information if we needed anything. They want you to have the best time possible while staying here. They are gracious hosts and stock the house with everything one might need to settle in comfortably. There are numerous grocery stores in Livingston to choose from.
The house is beautiful and the views are unbelievable plus the wildlife loves to pose for pictures. Mae and Jack are a riot when they come over for "snack time". We had an unbelievable vacation here and will definitely be returning.
The solitude and relaxing nature of the area is exactly what we needed. Thank you for everything
We enjoyed our stay at SkyArbor. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We appreciated them meeting us there and showing us around the property. Be prepared for the steep driveway! We enjoyed the breathtaking views (especially from the gazebo) and the wildlife. Also it was fun to feed Mae (donkey) and Jack (horse). The cabin was pretty clean and easily accommodated six girls. Thank you, Paul and Susan, we enjoyed our stay!
Our family had a wonderful vacation while staying at SkyArbor. The house was very clean and inviting. The mountain views were breathtaking ! The owners were very inviting and helpful and provided tips on great Trout fishing spots. We caught plenty of fish and enjoyed the serenity of the property. We also enjoyed the company of Jack and Mae (the horse and donkey ). We would definitely recommend this property to our family and friends and hope to go back again in the near future.
Wonderful and idyllic cabin! My brother, two sons, and I had a fantastic time staying here during our annual fishing and hunting trip to Montana. This is a true Montana experience away from the more crowded areas of Montana, but yet close enough to enjoy lunch or dinner in Livingston. I can't say enough about the great hosts, who went out of their way to accommodate my family's schedule and other needs. They take great pride in this cabin and it shows in the care they've taken to maintain it.
Excellent place to stay for a romantic get away. Secluded with the most beautiful views of 4 mountain
ranges! House was very clean and the owners are very nice and helpful. Would recommend highly to anyone going to yellowstone or the beartooth highway. Hardest part was leaving cabin to go anywhere!
