The home was located in the perfect spot with fantastic sunsets! The ships went by every day, it was so relaxing. Everything we needed was in the home plus some. Updated and clean with comfy relaxing furnishings. My favorite spot was rocking in the chair watching the water and having my coffee. It was central to everything we wanted to go see. We took day trips and then came home to a beer and glass of wine to see the sunsets. The grocery store is down the road and plenty of restaurants for breakfast and dinner. Although we made most of our breakfasts to get the most of the view! We even saw 4 eagles squabbling over territory. Fantastic home, book it! We plan to come again! Host was very easy to work with, very responsive.

Awesome Place To Stay in St Ignace

Stayed at the house for the UP Pond hockey tournament. Great location and very nice home. We got a bunch of snow and the host was very proactive in ensuring the driveway was plowed. I’d certainly recommend and would love to stay again next year - Scooters Shooters

Cozy and Relaxing

My husband and I loved our stay here. The location is a great launching point for other U.P. attractions if you're looking to sightsee, or if you prefer to stay put and relax the home itself has an unbeatable view, is very clean, warm and welcoming, nicely decorated, and has an abundance of cozy places to settle down in. I so thoroughly enjoyed having morning breakfast and coffee on the deck, and evenings reading in the comfortable chairs in the living room gave the refreshment we needed. The home had everything we needed and more, and was an absolute gem of a find.

Could have been a tad cleaner

Owner was very hands off. You can’t beat the location of this property. Only way it could have been better is if there wasn’t a road between the water and the house. It was cleaner than you would expect but could have been better - there was white stains on the sheets on the bed I jumped into the first night. Then I needed to go find extra sheets in a closet to set up the sofa couch which had no bedding. The Coffee machine needed a thorough cleaning before being used. S’mores were provided which was nice. We enjoyed the great weather and visiting the island!

Absolutely Perfect

Absolutely perfect place to stay. Centrally located to many activities/destinations. Beautiful cabin with outstanding views of the Straights of Mackinaw. Great Lakes ship traffic, view of the Mackinaw bridge, and gorgeous sunsets were amazing! Very quiet location that is easy to get to. Cabin is so adorable and had everything we needed for our stay. The owner is very thoughtful in providing amenities that make the stay so relaxing. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a cabin in that area!

Maine to the UP

We decided on the UP for our annual road trip vacation. MaryJo's house was perfect for our stay. Very clean, comfortable, the views are amazing. Our daughter loved walking over to the lake in the morning and marshmellows were toasted nightly by the fire. Great jumping off spot for exploring the UP.

St Ignace

This house is a cute place to relax and enjoy watching the freighters and cruise ships going by. View of the Mighty Mac and sunsets (sunrises too if you are an early riser) from the beach. Lots of birds to watch too. House to well supplied with cooking utensils and good pots and pans. The mattresses need an update but still not the worst we've ever slept on. People are friendly in the area. Always a wave and how ya doing. So ya, a pretty darn nice place to get away to.

Fabulous Lake View

Beautiful lake view on lovely property. Cute nautical decor and lots of comfortable seating inside and out. Enjoyed the cool breezes off the lake and sound of gulls in the morning. Located in a very quiet neighborhood on a seldom traveled road, perfect for a morning walk or run. Very clean and good communication. Launching point for several UP attractions.

Beautiful Views!!

Midges-Flies!

House and view was great! The flies (midges) were the worst, we could not sit outside or enjoy anything outdoors. The neighbor said he couldn't do that to someone, owners are fully aware when they hatch . We all work so hard and to spend money on a trip we could Not go outside was the WORST~!! Never in my life have I seen anything like this!!! I could never do this someone. :(
