Dream Family Vacay 2023

We absolutely loved our stay at your beautiful condo. The views were amazing. The beds were all very comfortable and we had plenty of space for our family of 5. It was quiet at night and we all slept great after our busy days on the island. Having a cooler and ice packs were wonderful to have to pack cold drinks in. It was a nice home away from home for our vacation on beautiful Maui. Mahalo!

Great stay! Excellent host!

We had a great stay. The property has lovely views of the ocean and was a good fit for our family of five. The pools were never busy and just down the path there is a beach where the kids were able to swim and boogie board. We also saw whales from the property and one day there was even a monk seal on the beach in front of the property! John and Barbara kindly provide all sorts of beach amenities, including boogie boards and beach chairs. We took advantage of the food trucks that are right next door for a couple of our dinners. Also, the grocery store is also just a short walking distance away. Thanks John and Barbara for a great stay!

Reasonable rate and great unit

Unit was as expected and consistent with other comments about the AC not working in the second bedroom. We managed with the large fan available in the unit. Very quiet, both in between suites and outside. Great view on the water and wonderful sunsets from the balcony. Would stay there again.

Family friendly

Great location. Lots of families. Good place for a long vacation with friends and extended family. The grounds are very pretty but did need more assistance in cleaning up the garbages and such. Many garbage bins around the pool were overflowing until the clean up crew came the following morning at 7am. The actual unit has a great view and perfect to use the hidden stairs. Made it very convenient coming and going. Well stocked place. My only criticism is the bedding. The beds were not very comfortable.

excellent location

my family of 5 (kids 21-24) & my friends family (same age kids) stayed at two different condo's at this same property. Our condo was very clean, it had a lot of extra's (kitchen items, towels, beach items...). we were on the 2nd flood & steps away from the beach & pool. The property itself was a bit older, but it was well kept & in a great location - on Kaanapali beach, walk to stores, food trucks right out-front. The property owners of the property were VERY responsive & helpful; they allowed us to stay in the condo later the last day due to a late flight - very friendly! And it was easy to locate, parking accessible, doors easy, workers at condo/hotel very helpful...The condo was updated but a bit tight for our family of 5, but we loved it! We had a great time & will definitely stay at this location again.

Beautiful Condo!

We loved our stay at this condo! The owners are very responsive and the most accommodating we’ve ever experienced! They let us have a late checkout which was extremely helpful! We traveled to Maui with our two teenage children and loved having two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a full kitchen. The view from the deck is spectacular! We really enjoyed the location and ability to be this close to the water. We could see whales from our deck! Loved having the restaurant and pools right there to use. Beach can be small depending on tide, but as stated it’s a short walk to where it’s larger so it’s not an issue. The condo was very clean and beds very comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need. Air conditioning works well but you need to follow the instructions on the lanai doors. Noise was not an issue for us at all. The pools and grounds are very pretty. There are shops and a small general store at the resort. This condo was exceptional and we would definitely stay there again! The owners are wonderful!

Great location

This was our first time staying at Kaanapali Shores although we have stayed at neighboring properties previously and really do love the location. The condo unit itself was clean and nicely equipped. We had a few minor concerns that didn't require any real resolution so I would not hold this against the hosts. The air conditioning was not as effective in the 2nd bedroom as the master and living areas. I think the addition of ceiling fans would go a long way to improve the air circulation. The other issue was that the property was renovating the pool nearest the restaurant. Our unit was directly adjacent to the construction and noise was a huge disappointment to our enjoyment, even while at the beach. The restaurant was not even an option the majority of the day due to the noise. We were so looking forward to utilizing the restaurant and enjoying the views. We were notified of this renovation a few weeks prior to our trip which left us no option but to keep our existing reservation and could not change. We were disappointed but overall enjoyed our stay.

This place was perfect for our family of 4. It felt like home. The location was amazing, the view was amazing, and the family room/kitchen/bathrooms/ and bedrooms were fantastic. My teen kids had their own beds with plenty of room for the two of them while we were in the master. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking in house vs expensive dinners every night. Everything was very comfortable and clean. The pools were also fantastic, and of course the beach. Wow!! We were fortunate to have a large beach with super soft sand and a relatively calm ocean that was good for swimming. Also, the sunsets from this location were heavily as we watched the sun dip into the ocean every night. Thank you for renting your place to us, and having it such a clean and comfortable level. We will definitely return.

We stayed here for 9 nights in the end of August as a family of three and really enjoyed our time. The location was fantastic, and we loved having a room facing both the pool and the beach. The condo was well-equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen, as well as plenty of items for the pool and beach—like boards, chairs, and inflatables—which made our stay even easier.One of the highlights was how close everything was, making it convenient to explore and enjoy the area. We also had some unforgettable experiences right on the beach, spotting sea turtles and even a monk seal.The only thing we felt could be improved was the cleanliness of the condo and the building overall.

Beautiful Condo with great location.

We had an amazing time staying at Aston Kaanapali Shores. The property is beautiful and having a bar/restaurant on property made it even better. I would highly recommend this unit as it has everything you need, is well placed and the owners communicated with us every step of the way. I would give this more than 5 stars if I could.

Excellent property and location with great views

I recently stayed there with my husband, 16 year old step daughter and 14 year old step son and we had the time of our life. The condo was absolutely perfect for what we were looking for and reasonably priced for what it is. The location couldn't have been better with the board walk out front, close proximity to Kaanapali Beach and Whalers Village. The owner made a great recommendation for a rental car as well so we got a great deal on that. View was great grounds were beautiful. I would definitely stay there and recommend it for friends who are visiting the island.

Has everything and more!

This unit is has two beautiful rooms and 2 full bathrooms- more than enough space for the 5 of us! They were kind enough to provide us with beach toys, chairs, an umbrella, and floaties to use during our stay. Also, the kitchen was stocked with everything we could need from oil, rice cooker, spices, paper towels. They even left us some detergent and fabric softener sheets, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels. My kids said it was like being at home but at a tropical paradise. I was able to see the pool from the room and watch the beautiful sunsets every evening. It really was the perfect home away from home.
