Total relaxation!

Property was clean and had everything we might need for our stay. Hosts were easy to reach and very friendly and helpful but gave us total privacy while we were there. We totally enjoyed our stay!

The setting on the river was lovely. The fishing was wonderful and mostly, the hosts were the warmest and most welcoming we've encountered in many verbo locations. Thanks for the experience and the fresh fruit!

Salmon River

The riverside retreat was very clean and comfortable. Carly was a kind and helpful host. The area is very quiet and surrounded by hillside, mountain, and river views. We enjoyed exploring the local area as well as relaxing in the home and on the screened in porch. Would definitely stay again!

Our stay at this property was amazing. The house was beautiful as well as the location. Everything was clean, organized, and well taken care of. Right on the Salmon River!

Unbelievable location in rural Idaho right on the Salmon River. House was clean and stocked with coffee and spices for cooking. It was a bit chilly during our stay, but we did sit on the screened-in porch with a glass of wine - watching the river flow by.

Very quiet. Well stocked, beautiful property.

We spent a week,4 older adults. Lots of birds,deer and the river running right behind the house. Anything we needed was there,just brought some groceries. Owner was very nice,very eager to do anything to make our stay amazing. Even brought over homemade cookies. Great place. Great people.

Perfect house Perfect location right on Salmon river

My family and I loved this property. Carly( the homeowner) was very helpful and friendly We have stayed in several VRBOs over the years And this was the best equipped kitchen yet! House was very clean!! The Salmon river is right in the back yard below beautiful mountains. Carly (who lives right next door) even brought fresh produce from her garden. She very much respected our privacy though I would absolutely stay here again. Gorgeous part of the country !1

Rest and relax in this scenic river canyon view

Scenic view of Southern idaho landscape with the salmon River as your backyard border. View abundant wildlife from the back yard. Quick access to Goldbug hot springs trail head, and multiple other famous Idaho landmarks. Great access for fly fisherman if the season is right, (if not a great spring runoff… )well maintained older Modular home, had all the conveniences we needed.. and the host and location were exceptional.. my husband planned on fishing, al though the additional water flow didn’t allow him too, we had plenty of other things to do and very much enjoyed our whole week there!

Amazing!

We were blown away with this spot. This was our first time to vacation in Idaho and this property was perfect! We brought our UTV to ride different trails and this house has ample parking for the trailer and access to some trails just behind it. It is RIGHT on the Salmon River and secluded in its own little corner. The layout of the house is perfect, and the area is so tranquil you won't miss being close to town. If you are hesitant about the distance to town (about 20 miles one way) this spot makes the drive (which is beautiful) worth it. We went to town when we needed to, but honestly besides the grocery store in town (which FYI is closed on Sunday) we preferred to be out in this peaceful area. The host is amazing, the house is very clean, the beds are comfortable, and the showers had great water pressure- all things that we care about after a long day of riding the trails. We have never seen that many stars...we will be back!

Beautiful, clean, relaxing paradise!

This property is a spacious Riverside Retreat – a very quiet, very comfortable paradise -- with wonderful and kind hosts! Even before my husband and I arrived, we met Carly by text and phone. You will never meet a more genuinely kind, caring, accommodating, and talented person than Carly. She went far beyond the meaning of “far and above” to ensure that our stay was absolutely perfect. And it was absolutely perfect! We cannot thank her enough for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and hospitality. The location is very quiet, and the Salmon River flows right outside the screened-in porch. Sitting there in the morning or evening in comfortable chairs, listening to the river and the birds, and smelling the pines, was just the relaxation we needed. While we did spend some time exploring the beautiful area, I would have been just as content to sit and enjoy this location. We had deer in the yard while we were there, and Sugar, Carly’s horse, warmly welcomed us on arrival and often when we came “home.” The home itself is beautiful, extremely clean, and very comfortable. I had 2 major surgeries in the prior six months, one within a month of staying here, and I have a permanent back injury. So, comfort is an absolute must for me, and we were both very comfortable in this lovely home. The kitchen is spacious, very well equipped, probably more so than even our own home kitchen, and has every spice (and more!) that I could imagine! We highly recommend this Riverside Retreat and hope to come back again soon.

Perfect in Every Way

I wanted a "cabin in the woods in Idaho" and searched determinedly for the absolutely right choice and boy did I nail it! We had such a lovely stay and were all so sad to leave. The cabin is exactly as pictured, has everything you could need and more and is so comfortable. It is spacious with updated bathrooms and enormous windows that draw in the cool breeze in the evening and all night. We didn't even use the large screened-in porch because it was so lovely sitting out next to the river. It was absolutely perfect sitting in the sun on the bank of the river with morning coffee and a book and in the heat of the afternoon you can sit under the shade of the enormous Spruce trees enjoying the view of the river and the hills. You have many choices of activities. We spent a day at Goldbug Hotsprings. What fun! We spent hours there, exploring the pools and falls. Hiking abounds. We did 10 miles up Sheep Creek which is north of Salmon. A full day rafting trip on the North Fork was spectacular. There are great mountain-biking opportunities right from the cabin. Cabin Creek is quite persistently steep but Iron Creek endlessly wanders through beautiful scenery with easy grades. Those are both within a couple of miles of the cabin. We only had three days but when we were leaving we were sad to realize that someone else would be sitting by "our" river, occupying "our" cabin. Now that is home from home. Carly was a wonderful host. Always communicative when we had questions and offering good advice on rafting and other activities. Thank you Carly. We hope to stay again!

Dark Sky Location

The property is as described. We chose this location as it was close to Goldbug Hotsprings ( a must do) and a dark sky location for astrophotography. Clean, comfortable and the hosts are very responsive. Oh, and the horse loves her ears rubbed.

The location of the property is along the Salmon river. It was peaceful and very relaxing. We chose the property for its work areas that supported the work that ! do on the computer, with a choice of two work areas and sketches the architect did on the dining room table. The house is very clean, well organized, had everything we could ever need. It was hard to return home and leave this all behind :-(.

Braun Bros. Reunion

Carly, was there to greet us with fresh vegetables and fruit. The house was spacious and had a great fire pit along the Salmon River. We fished right from cabin with access to the river. We were there for the Braun Bros Reunion in Challis. The house was about 33 miles from the concert but lodging is in short supply in Challis. We would definitely return if in the area.

Relaxing river retreat.

We chose this location because of it's proximity to the river and found it to be a very comfortable, spacious and very well kept home. The kitchen is equipped with absolutely anything you would need to cook meals. Carly, the owner, was so gracious as a host. We arrived to find freshly baked cookies that she had left for us. Whenever we asked for anything she or her husband responded very quickly. From this location we did a fun rafting trip on the Salmon River, we explored downtown Salmon and had a fun day swimming in a perfect spot just down the road from the house. We enjoyed sitting in camp chairs with our feet in the river watching the resident Ospreys fly overhead.
