1-Star ReviewMy friend and I rented this property through VRBO, and our experience was very disappointing. When we arrived late at night, we checked the home and found that the pull-out couch—listed as an amenity—was full of bugs, dirt, and even spiders. This was extremely unsettling, as any feature advertised should be clean and ready for guest use without advance notice.We contacted the host immediately but didn’t receive a response until the next morning. The host then told us we should have informed them ahead of time if we planned to use the pull-out couch, which was both shocking and unreasonable. When we explained how this issue affected our stay and requested some form of refund, the host declined any compensation. The host later claimed that “no bugs were found” after checking the next day. Although they offered to vacuum and change the sheets, we no longer felt comfortable staying there.We also reached out to VRBO for help but were told that refunds are entirely up to the host, leaving us without a resolution. The cleanliness and tone of communication throughout our stay were disappointing and unprofessional. The only positive aspect was that the host made sure our belongings left behind were kept safe.Overall, the property was not clean, and the host’s response was dismissive. I can only give this stay one star.
