Our experience with this property was unacceptable from start to finish.Before we even entered the home, we contacted the host about concerning conditions outside the property and received delayed responses. Once inside, we discovered multiple cockroaches, countless ants throughout the home (including in the shiplap), and visible mold in the bathrooms. We immediately documented everything and notified the host. The only solution offered was to send the cleaning crew back and spray bug spray while our family, including young children, remained in the home. This was neither a safe nor reasonable solution and did nothing to address the mold or underlying pest issues. Because of the condition of the property, we had no choice but to leave early. We stayed only one night and requested reimbursement for the six unused nights,not a full refund. Instead of taking responsibility, the host has provided little support and continued to push back on a fair resolution. Adding to our disappointment, the home is noticeably smaller than it appears in the listing photos. If you're looking for a clean, accurately represented property with a responsive host, I would strongly recommend booking elsewhere. Between the pests, mold, poor communication, and lack of accountability, this was one of the worst vacation rental experiences our family has ever had. I hope the host ultimately does the right thing and reimburses us for the six nights unable to use due to the unsafe condition of the property.
