The house was clean and well stocked with all items needed to make us feel at home. The host was very responsive with all questions. We brought our boat for mini lobster season and mahi. There was a spacious dock with a fish cleaning table. We had a great week in KCB!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property! The layout was absolutely perfect for our large group of family and friends. A major bonus for everyone was that each bedroom had its own dedicated bathroom, the privacy was much appreciated. The outdoor space was a huge highlight-we spent a ton of time outside enjoying the fantastic pool and the outdoor kitchen. Gina and the hosts were incredibly responsive when a minor house issue came up, and they took care of it right away. I also brought my service dog along, and he was both very comfortable and warmly welcomed by the hosts, which we truly appreciated. We would highly recommend this property to anyone and are already considering a return visit!

Emerson, thanks for being our guests . We are disappointed in your review which was positive but gave a low rating which makes little sense to us. It is always very helpful for guests to communicate prior to departure if they think any things need correcting , adding or changing. We are always receptive to any suggestions --- thanks Jim & Tudor

Great location

Great location. Near lots of great restaurants and shops. Backyard area was very nice for swimming and visiting with our large group. We caught lots of fish off the dock, and saw multiple manatees. Aquarium is a 5 minute drive if you have small kids it’s a great place to take them.

Ray, many thanks for being wonderful guests at our house. Thanks for taking the time to submit your review. Generally speaking, any issues that come to our attention are found by an incoming guest and are commonly caused by outgoing guests who do not bring these problems to our attention. It is a regrettable part of the rental buisness. We correct any problems as soon as they are discovered --- as we did for this guest. It is frustrating however to be marked down for this reason . We are at our home in Maine during these rental periods {1750 miles away} , which makes the rental process challenging . Jim & Tudor

Perfect location!

Our family had a wonderful time staying in this home! It is a perfect location especially if you bring or rent a boat. Easy access to marina to gas up boat and buy bait and right by vaca cut so you have the choice of the Atlantic or gulf for fishing. House is very cozy and kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook meals. The outdoor kitchen is amazing and there is plenty of space to park your vehicles. I would highly recommend this rental property!

Great Vacation

We had a fantastic vacation. Weather was perfect. The house was beautiful and had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The pool and outdoor kitchen was amazing. We used it most every day. The inside kitchen was fully equipped with anything you could possibly need. Overall, the house and rooms were amazing. Location was awesome for fishing and getting to Vaca Cut quickly and to get bait from Captain Hooks. Great for a big family!!

Outstanding

The owners of this house clearly love not only the house but the area. Even with the small hiccups they handled everything. Outdoor space is great! The house is very large and even with all 9 (14 when everyone was there for dinner) of us plus a dog we were very comfortable. Super nice people. You will love it here.

Best House Ever

House was perfect for our 3 teenage grandsons. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. House was spacious so we weren’t bumping into each other. Boys fished off the dock, used the kayaks and the deep water pool was a great hit. House was beautifully decorated. Local restaurants was excellent, Lazy Days prepared red snapper the boys had caught on a guided fishing trip. Can’t wait to return next year.

Vacation during Covid

This property was amazing. We had 7 adults, and had plenty of room for all of us. The pool was refreshing, and the gazebo was a highlight of our days-to start with coffee and end with an adult beverage and cigar (for some) after a day of wandering or fishing. The doc was large and sturdy, and we were able to fish from it every day when we weren't on the boat. From the house/dock we saw pelicans, manatees, baracudas, iquanas and lizards.....was a relaxing, comfortable vacation property--thank you!

Beautiful home in a wonderful location

The house has a wonderful master bedroom and tons of room in the kitchen and living room. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything thing you would need for cooking. Plenty of places to sit in the living room. The outside area has a beautiful pool and an amazing grill area with plenty of outdoor seating. If you love to get out and run or walk, the neighborhood is great for that also. Key Colony Beach also has a 9 hole 3 par golf course which my Dad and I enjoyed. If you are looking to stay in a beautiful home in a great location, then this is a home that you would love.

Paradise

Exceptional home! We have spent many vacations in the keys. Usually in Marathon. This home and location is a 10 star rating! We will definitely be returning there again in the future. Great access to the Atlantic where we spent most of our time. Fishing, snorkeling, diving and hopping sand bars! The pool was BIG and awesome! And the outdoor kitchen is amazing! Never cooked in the house. The gazebo was our favorite gathering spot. Everyone loved having their own private bathroom and the convenience of one in the entry area and the one out in the pool area. This home was way beyond our expectations! We WILL be back! Thank you Gina and the Austin’s. Communication was excellent!

Beautiful Home in Middle Keys

This is a first class property in Key Colony. Located on Vaca Cut there is good access to Atlantic and Gulf. Dock has new decking, which can be hot in the summer sun, with a bait freezer, water, and power. I was able to plug shore power in for my boat to the 110 outlet with no problems (30A service on my end). Many nice restaurants nearby. Owner has a very useful information binder in the house. House is very spacious and kitchen well equipped. Pool and outdoor kitchen is outstanding. Owners were very good at communicating the local requirements and quick to respond to a few minor items we found. Very peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Second stay here and this time for 2 weeks. We will be back!

The perfect vacation spot

I booked this house to celebrate my daughter’s graduation, it was the most beautiful home located in a quiet neighborhood. Not only was the home absolutely beautiful it had every amenity you could ask for. Every room had its own private bathroom, the outdoor pool and kitchen areas were private and the kitchen was amazing with plenty of counter space and seating at the bar. The great room had enough seating to seat everyone for a movie night or enough room for family game night. The owners were very accommodating with my booking dates as they were not the usual days they would normally rent the home. They were very responsive from the first time I contacted them and available at all times during my stay. My family had the best experience and an amazing vacation. None of us wanted to leave my only regret is that I didn’t book it for 10 days. I will be back next year!

Slice of Paradise in Middle Keys

Beautiful home located right off Vaca Cut. Well appointed, quiet and relaxing. Pool ad hot tub are perfect. Kitchen is well equipped and spacious. House itself is spacious and laid out well for families. Access to Atlantic and Gulf is easy. Lots of Tarpon just outside the canal entrance. We have stayed in many homes over the years in the Keys and this one is by far the finest. Owners were very good at communicating with us. Looking forward to coming back. House is located inside the City of Key Colony so if you haven't stayed there before fair warning , don't speed and follow the rules. We had no problems because we stayed in KC before. Rules are not overbearing. just follow them.

Michael , many thanks for your kind review ! Your group was wonderful to have , and we are so glad you found the little known tarpon spot ! Actually they are often right off the dock, but catching them there is another thing --- they usually just break off before you can coax them to the dock. My wife will be so pleased with your review as this house is her baby ! Thanks , Jim & Tudor
