Ein hübsches und massives Einfamilienhaus auf einem Grundstück von mehr als einem halben Morgen am Ufer des Flusses Severn. Dieses fantastische Anwesen verfügt über einen beheizten Innenpool mit Badetüchern, einen neuen Whirlpool für 2019, ein Bluetooth-Soundsystem, Fenstertüren, die sich zum hinteren Garten hin öffnen, und einen abgetrennten Spieleanbau mit Billardtisch, Air Hockey, Dart und Kicker , neuer Kinoraum mit 75 Zoll T. V mit Sky Q über 1000 Filmen, Musik- und Sportpaket. Der Terrassenbalkon bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick über den Fluss Severn und die Weiden, die allen Spaß machen. Perfekt für Junggesellenabschiede, Geburtstagsfeiern, Familienfeiern und Zusammenkünfte von Freunden.

Nur zehn Autominuten vom Einkaufszentrum Gloucester Quays, der Kathedrale von Gloucester, in der Harry Potter gedreht wurde, und dem Gloucester Rugby Club entfernt.

House sits on a very busy and noisy road which was not expected.We enjoyed our stay but because of the extreme heat some of the rooms were unusable, good fans would have been helpful.We all loved the pool and hot tub and had a good stay.

An amazing house which lived up to and in some areas, such as the fabulous indoor heated swimming pool, exceeded expectations. The house is well appointed, clean, spacious and comfortable and as such was ideal for my extensive family to come together to celebrate my 80th birthday.We particularly appreciated the check-in with Louise which certainly helped to confirm the proposed sleeping arrangements for the 20 family members who would be staying for the duration. With the weather taking a slight turn for the worse, we also made extensive use of the games room which along with the pool and hot tub proved popular with not only those staying over but also the additional family members who joined the celebrations on the Saturday. All in all, it proved to be an excellent weekend enabling all the family to come together to make the most of the celebrations.

I booked this house to celebrate our 60th Wedding Anniversary with our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The house had more than enough to cater for all the different ages, the pool, hot tub, games room and outside areas were fantastic. The house itself was very spacious and again had everything and more than we could have expected. All areas of the house and gardens were very well presented and again offered much more than we expected. The arrival and departure procedure was excellent and exactly as we had been informed. The house really made our anniversary more special as we were able to celebrate with all our family, who were all really impressed with the house as well. Cannot recommend this property highly enough it is excellent.

Overall a very well maintained and safe property. Only issue we had was ants in the kitchen and some grass roots coming through where the ants were coming through and some of the foot stools had cobs webs under them. We vacuumed it all but the ants kept coming back.

Excellent Property

We stayed at this property for a large group and it was an excellent property. Cazz and team were very accommodating and helped us with multiple enquiries and even unloading a large shop for us. The house itself has loads of fun activities and the location is amazing. Ideal for big celebrations and parties. Would highly recommend and would stay again!

Family Gathering

We rented the house for a family birthday celebration. It was ideal for us - plenty of space and good mix of rooms for the various family groups and great entertainment facilities on site. We had a great weekend and would happily return. The owner was very responsive and helpful which made planning everything very easy.

Hen Party of dreams

This property was perfect for a Hen weekend and Cazz was a very helpful host! The property was clean and spacious with all the amenities you would need for a great hen party! The pool and garden were ideal for the hot weekend alongside the BBQ that was easy to use and created a great evening for all. I would 100% recommend this property :)

Another memorable time

Returned to this property a second time for a large family gathering and once again it didn't disappoint. The house and grounds are so well kept. Both adults and kids can be entertained as well as feeling relaxed. The memories that have been made from our visits often come up in conversation and now we've more to reminisce. Thank you to Cazz, Louise and all the team. We of course plan to visit again! Until then, all the best.

Plenty to enjoy

The property turned out to be as advertised. There were 16 of us altogether ranging in age and interests and everyone found activities to enjoy, particularly in the pool.The location, right on the Severn, afforded excellent views of this fascinating river - it was a shame that we missed the bore by a week.Cazz was very approachable and responded quickly to our communications, although dealing with several electrical 'trips' was irritating and we were glad to have had competent people in our group.All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and were able to celebrate a significant birthday with friends and relations.

Wonderful, everything you need for any age group

Really lovely weekend staying with 4 different groups of the same family aged 72 - 8. The pool, games room, table tennis and hot tub meant something for everyone. As we had gorgeous weather we had some lovely local walks too. The bedrooms were spacious and each nicely decorated, everything you require is provided in the kitchens and toiletries provided in each bathroom. Some lovely welcome gifts and a card were a lovely touch and very well received. Excellent communication from the host throughout. Truly worth every penny

Beautiful house amazing stay

We were a party of 15 plus two dogs and had an amazing stay for a special birthday and anniversary. The house is beautiful and well equipped for a range of ages and weather conditions with the indoor pool and games room and outdoor jacuzzi and BBQ. Pre stay communication with Cazz was excellent with answers to questions along with help and advice for venues to eat and external catering. We were greeted by the housekeeper who gave us a welcome tour, she had received our grocery delivery and put them away in advance of our arrival a huge thank you to her. A welcome bottle of champagne, chocolates and balloons were a very special greeting from Cazz (thank you) The property and grounds are very secure and safe for children, dogs and cars with secure looks on the pool area and covers on the jacuzzi and electric gates to the front. In terms of surroundings, whilst you are by a busy road this did not impact on the stay and road noise was not that noticeable day or night. The local pub opened up for us early to dine and the local butcher made us some amazing BBQ packs Overall we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend as an excellent celebration venue

Cazz is a great host and did well to answer emails in a timely manner. Louise gave us a tour when we arrived and was also very nice. A few negatives- there were dirty towels (red room) and used bed sheets (dorm) left in some of the rooms. Throughout our stay there was also a foul smell which lingered inside the house and outside. At times it was unbearable. Cazz said its the next door cattle farm and being in the countryside! I'm not sure that is the case. The water in the shower plug hole (by dorm) was also coming back up. positives- there are many. A lovely property and the pool and hot tub was clean and easy to use. The property is nice and on the whole clean. There were 20 of us and it didn't feel overcrowded. There was a burst main pipe nearby which meant on the morning of Day 1 there was no water. Cazz kindly drove up and left us some water bottles to use in the meantime. Overall, a lovely place to visit with friends and family and spend a few days (just bring pegs for the stench that whiffs by).

I am extremely surprised to have received this detrimental review in the light of the review I received in my guest book on the day these guests left (see below). " It was my eldest son Arnas 50th birthday. We spent 4 days in Feb 23 at this beautiful place. The bedrooms were clean and tidy. We had the dining room (20 seats) all of us together. We had lots of entertainments. My grandson too became an alumni. We all had a marvellous time. We recommend the Float House to everyone" I have know idea why these guests became so dissatisfied after leaving such glowing report at the end of their stay and yet wrote such unfavourable comments a few days later.

Perfect Location for an Extended Family Weekend away

We were a family group of 21 aging from 11 months to 81 years old. The Float house was the perfect location for our annual family gathering and we had a very happy stay there. Cazz’s communication in the lead up to our weekend was very friendly she gave lots of helpful advice in preparation for our stay. The housekeeper Louise welcomed us and showed us round and staff had received an internet grocery delivery for us earlier in the day which was great. Cazz had left balloons fizz and chocolates as we were celebrating an 18th birthday which was extra special. The beds and bedrooms were all very comfortable and the whole house was clean and very well presented. The big brother bedroom was great for cousins to sleep in together and there were plenty of activities on site to occupy us despite the inclement November weather. It was great to all be able to sit round the dining room table and also to sit together comfortably in the lounge. The pool was warm and clean and could be locked up safely when not in use. There were pool toys for young and old - playing water badminton was a first ! The kitchen diner although not large enough for 21 to congregate in we had all we needed and we could take turns in the hot tub just outside. The garden backing onto the River Severn would be a wonderful location for a BBQ in the summer but we enjoyed a good walk along the river when the rain let up. The location was great as it was accessible for those arriving by train to Gloucester but also it is not far from the Forest of Dean. We finished our weekend with a group Sunday Lunch at the White Hart looking over the River Severn. A great end to a very happy weekend. We would be very keen to stay again and would heartily recommend the Float House to other similar parties.

A luxurious house with lots of space and many, many rooms. Excellent facilities, all the equipment needed for a self-catering stay, with lavish supplies in the kitchen. A lovely pool and hot-tub, kept in immaculate condition. Location is superb, with great views over the river Severn which flows past the edge of the garden. Our party really enjoyed our stay here.

Excellent property which suited our needs for annual extended family get together. Pre check in conversation with Host Cazz was very helpful. On the day of arrival we had got late due to traffic issues. Cazz’s housekeeper was kind and stayed on till late to help us have an effective check in. And also helped us with organising few take aways. The home itself was exceptional. And the kids loved the indoor heated pool! The outdoor dining space helped take our family get together to a whole new level. Each year we book a similar accommodation and the unanimous response was if we can this same accommodation for summer next year. The say was fabulous and we would recommend the place unreservedly.
