I love the lighthouse! The unit was nice but in need of some updates.

The unit was clean but in some need of updates. The balcony furniture was rusted and about to break. We had a great stay and enjoyed our week making memories.

Made our vacation memorable!

This space had it all- location, view, beach access, and two pools! With one of the pools being little kid friendly with shallow waters, it made the trip that much more complete.

Fall Break 2023

We have stayed at the Lighthouse many times. This unit was very nice. The fridge/freezer was the only issue. Freezer was too cold and fridge not cold enough even after adjusting several times. Ice maker did not work at all. Overall the unit was nice.

Worst experience

Upon arrival we contacted the management company due to all the issues. Water was puddled on the floor, ac was not cooling, door was busted, masher shower head did not work, bedding was stained, icemaker didn't work and freezer needed defrosting, ceiling ac vent was falling out, kitchen cabinets were taped together, master ceiling fan didn't work, mildew was unbelievable in the master bath. Patio furniture is falling apart. Sofa bed is broken. We were told they would contact us the next morning and they never contacted us or would answer our calls.

Dirty Bed and Dishes

We arrived Friday night and immediately noticed the master bedroom comforter was dirty. It was stained and smelled. The sheets were also dirty and had sand in them before we even got in them. We messaged Vacasa and they said we were welcome to use the washer and dryer. They sent someone over Saturday morning with new bedding while we were out. The replacement “comforter” was thinner than most throw blankets and the sheets were twin size for the king bed. I messaged again and they said they would address the issue but when we left Wednesday we had yet to receive the correct size sheets. The dishes in the kitchen were dirty and had to be washed before using. Like almost every dish we touched was greasy or had something in it. They had a few pans, a couple small pots a big gumbo pot (it was thin, you can’t use that for gumbo) and a few skillets but they didn’t have a regular size pot to cook with. The knives to prepare food with were non existent but they did have flimsy steak knives. We had to go purchase a pot and knives. There was a balcony table in the pictures but there wasn’t actually a balcony table. The master bath, the view, the amenities at the building and the people working there were great however which is the only reason I gave it 2 stars.

Loved the condo and location. Had a great time. Only problem is the couch. Looks great but cushions go flat to the wood frame and there is no sleeping on the thin so called mattress on it. Needs to be replaced. Overall great experience.

Loved the location and view. The Condo was spacious and clean just a little dated. I gave 3 stars because all of the bedding and mattress need to be replaced. The sofa has seen better days and the mattress on the sofa is completely unbearable to sleep on. Also seems like it would come with at least one complimentary parking pass. The zero entry pool was definitely a perk with the younger children.

Great vacation!

We loved the location. We were in walking distance to restaurants and the State Park. The pool area and beach service was wonderful. The unit was very nice and clean. The only complaint was the mattresses on the bunk beds were very hard. The kids ended up sleeping on the couch.

Great Location

This unit had everything that we needed and had a direct beach front view.! The weather was perfect during our stay and the water was beautiful. This complex looks like it was just painted and stands out among the others on the beach. Beds were comfortable and furnishings were updated. Will def. stay again.

Terrible management vacasa

This was meant to be a vacation but was more of a vacation nightmare. Arrived to several issues including poor cooling of fridge cosmetic issues with half hung mirrors and blinds but the most important was no safety lock on back of door as was broken. They promised me they would quickly resolve and it did not get addressed until two days later regardless of communication. We traveled with my autistic son and we had two sleepless nights from fear of him eloping as he knows how to simply open a door. Safety concerns should be number one priority and not to be worried about at all! Our last day for a great portion of there was zero running water in the unit, they also told me they would handle and communicate with me until problem was resolved and they did not communicate or fix the issue. They claim 24/7 support but they will ignore your concerns, your messages and do nothing to remedy the situation. Clearly a matter of taking on too many properties and not having enough manpower and putting customers basic needs and safety first. We paid a high amount and that should meet some level of quality and instead basic needs were not met. Do not stay with vacasa!

Family beach vaca

The only reason I withheld the 5th star is because of these reasons that could easily be fixed, if Vacasa chooses to fix them. Everything else was wonderful. 1 - the TV in the master bedroom didn’t work and seemed to have a mind of its own. I didn’t contact them about it, because we didn’t discover it until the second to the last night. 2- the dresser in the master bedroom is so wobbly that I thought the tub was gonna fall every time I opened or shut a drawer. And maybe this has happened already and that’s what’s wrong with the tv? 3- the threshold on the master bath shower door falls off when you open the door. 4- the kitchen has the absolute bare minimum and several things were broken. A frying pan with no handle, the only plastic bowl with a lid was cracked, so not useful for watermelon or things that have any liquid, one of the pitcher’s was cracked. One last note is just that when we’ve stayed at places with an individual owner, they are supplied better, they have things that previous visitors have left in the cabinet to share such as sugar, spices, oil, etc
. It was very obvious that the people who clean take everything. There were 2 beach chairs to use, but no wagon or floats or umbrella, even though my husband decided to leave his $10 umbrella there for future visitors, if no one else takes it. Vacasa was definitely on top of things that we reported and it was clean and everything it said it was otherwise.
