The house was welcoming, very roomy and in peaceful surroundings. We had visits by the locals (deer) every day. Everything that we needed was provided. The host responded quickly to our only question.

I stayed for a week. I was on a solo trip but, this would make for a great family vacation spot. Tons of room! The swing out back on the creek was a great place to relax and enjoy nature. Many morning and evening visits from elk and deer. They love the apples of the 2 apple trees out front.

This was our final part of our vacation to the West coast. This was our favorite place to stay. We wish we could have stayed longer. The house is very clean and a lot bigger than the pics portray. We loved playing in the creek in the back of the house. It’s cold, but refreshing after a hot day. We would love to stay here again.

It was a beautiful place with plenty of room inside and out. It is situated wonderfully next to the creek. Highly recommend staying here. The owners clearly care deeply about this lovely place.

It was a great place to stay while visiting Mt. Rainier! Quick commute to get into town, and located in a quiet neighborhood.

Perfect size home, lovely property, huge kitchen

This was the perfect base for going out hiking and camping. This house was large and gave us plenty of room to spread out and had a great, fully equipped kitchen so we could prepare food in. We’ll probably be back next summer.

Very clean, very close to town. House is right on the river. Short drive to White Pass for skiing and other activities in the Rainier area.

Basecamp for Rainier climb

This property was perfect for our plans of using it as a base camp for 6 people, to gather, sort and pack our gear, and wait for the right weather for our Rainier climb. Having this convenient location to land after our climb, to shower / sleep / re-sort and re-pack gear was ideal. Proximity to town and to the Stevens Canyon park entrance were a big part of our reason for choosing this location, and everything was as advertised. Host communication was very simple and convenient. I would stay here again in similar circumstances.

Everything was great except the big bathtub, it wouldn't hold water Friday night. I figured out the problem Saturday evening and fixed it. Other than that highly recommended.

Overall good, a few issues but a nice stay

Positives: the location is great, loved being slightly outside of town and on a quiet end of a street. Having the creek right there is nice (but inaccessible from the house so don't plan on walking down there). We loved having the two separate living spaces. Bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen are good size. We appreciated that they made a crib and high chair available and the hand soap and hand sanitizer around the house. Negatives: communication with the management company was slow/spotty to begin with, but once I complained they became very responsive. There were some cleanliness issues in the house (dirt in the dryer being most challenging). The bed in the primary room was squeaky and not very comfortable. No large pans in the house made cooking for a large family slightly challenging. There is no shampoo, cooking oil/spray, or spices (that we found) so plan to bring your own.

Lovely spot, a couple of short comings

Main thing, which didn't affect us since there were only two of us, but one of the twin beds doesn't have a mattress, but only box springs, made up as though it were a bed. If I had kids, and arrived to find they were expected to sleep on a box spring, I would be quite upset. The dining room has no central light, so if you're a large group expecting to eat at that table, it's pretty dark in there. The BBQ works, but only two burners were functional. Finally, this particular company does not supply shampoo, which is the first time I've run across that in the last 20 years or so. No big deal, except I would have brought some if I'd known. The location is great, lovely outdoor seating area by the fire pit, good kitchen, plenty of pans, etc. Just a few things to know before you get there, in order to plan. Very comfortable living room and front sitting room. Lots of windows for good ventilation.

Thank you so much for making memories at the cabin. Packwood which is located at the base of Mt Rainier is a great launching pad for your outdoor adventures. The mattress for the twin is a trundle and on a metal pull out. It is not a box spring. Sorry if there was some confusion as trundles generally only have the mattress as they slide under the main bed. As this is a privately owned cabin it is always a good idea to bring personal items.
