Good, but not great

Overall, our stay was fine. Some things that could have been better: 1). More consistency in shower pressure/temperature. Some showers were lukewarm, others were fine. Some showers had low pressure, others were fine. 2). We couldn't get the hot tub above 85 degrees. Fine for swimming, not so much for a spa. 3). The living room could have used a few lamps to provide more light. The dining room was also kind of dim. All these were minor issues, and we enjoyed our stay. The house is very roomy, and the beds were comfortable,

Not Happy

I was happy with how spacious the house was.There was good communication with the host in the beginning of our stay. The yard was dirty & branches were everywhere! The hot tub was dirty with sand in it! The grill was filthy and we were unable to use it. We were unable to use the back of the house! The view was beautiful, but doesn’t make up for the unkept yard, the filthy hot tub or the grill that was unusable! The WORST of our stay was the COCKROACHES in the kitchen! I was so upset about it, and embarrassed that my guests had to witness them! When I reached out to the host she said they have been trying to get rid of the cockroaches for a month! She was well aware and admitted to there being a problem, but chose not to tell me! I was only able to cook dinner for my family once, I wasn’t taking a chance with cooking after I saw them. I cut my stay short, I was disgusted knowing that the cockroaches were there! This trip was to get together with my children and grandchildren that I haven’t seen in 7 years and it was ruined with the messy yard, cockroaches and the lack of concern that the host had.

Excellent location

This is an older home with many updates. It is a very good location that worked well for our vacation. It was our second time staying at this property and works well for a larger group. The neighborhood is friendly and safe. Claudia was very responsive and accommodating to our early arrival. I would definately stay here again.

Great host

Claudia is a fantastic host who is very quick to respond/easy to contact. It's clear she cares about her guests. We had a small issue that was resolved promptly. Great location, lovely views. Understandably the property is old, but have marked 4*'s as it does need a few things repaired here and there. Thanks for a lovely stay.
