Had An Amazing Stay!!

This is our family's third time staying at this house. We love it here. It has everything you want, right on the lake, great location, quiet and fairly private. Cindy is a wonderful host. We recommend this house to people all the time. Hoping to go again next year!

Memorial Day trip with old High School friends

We had a great time at the lake house this last Memorial Day weekend. The house is beautiful and in a peaceful secluded spot where we could enjoy each other’s company and have a good time without disturbing or being disturbed by others. Highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a lake trip getaway with some good friends.

Quiet Cove Comfortable House

Great location. Wonderful for swimming especially with young children. Very little to no boat traffic. Home was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous In Every Way

This home was perfect for our family getaway. Very clean home, had everything we needed, the cove the home sits in is beautiful, quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed just relaxing on the dock many days. Great location on the lake. The host is very helpful and responsive. I would recommend this home to anyone. We plan to stay here again soon!

Amazing family / friend vacation! Absolute beautiful home, views, location and property! The home was very clean and spacious. Perfect for our two families. The access to the gorgeous water was great! The owners were very kind, easy to communicate with and made sure our stay was great! Would definitely recommend this home! We will be renting again!! Best Get-Away Ever

If I could give Hiwassee Hideaway more than 5 stars, I would! The house was absolute perfection…our hosts left plenty of supplies and lots of information about restaurants and things to do…they were amazing!!!! The minute we walked into the house, our stress level disappeared and we were in heaven! It was so incredibly peaceful and looking out of the full wall of windows in the morning while the sun came up took our breath away. House was immaculate, beds were extremely comfortable and the house had plenty of amenities. Planning on making Hiwasse Hide-away our annual “retreat”. Rent this house….you won’t be dissappointed!!!!

Perfect vacation spot!

If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful place to relax and unwind, look no further! My family loved hanging out for a week here in the privacy of this beautiful cove. We spent a lot of time floating in the crystal clear water at the dock. We enjoyed the kayaks, paddleboat, firepit, and the dock for fishing, We also rented a boat from Mountain Lake Marina which is right across the lake from here. They even delivered the boat right to our dock. Very convenient. The home is well stocked and provided everything we needed in addition to an amazing view! The check in process and communication with the owner was great.

Beautiful Spacious Property by Norris Lake

My friends stayed at this property and had an excellent time! The spacious grand room overlooked the lake and dock. Kitchen fully supplied any cooking instruments that you would need, like at your own home. Bathrooms looked to be newly renovated and beds were extremely comfortable. Kids bedroom/play room was especially nice (4 beds was plenty)! Fishing dock available with comfortable chairs, to enjoy a day on the lake! Can’t say all of us enjoyed the hike back up to the house, but that’s exercise for the day haha! Overall it was a great home to visit and we would certainly come back next time we are at Norriw Lake!

Great location!

This spot on the lake was excellent - quiet cove, close to nice boating water, and not too far from highway/grocery. The stairs and dock setup were fabulous. Nicest stairs of any Norris property I've been to in the 8 years we've been going. The house was well equipped and big enough for our group. However, we found the single bath on the main floor to be just not enough for the 4 adults sharing it, just personal preference. The kid space downstairs was excellent for sleeping, playing, watching TV, etc. The only downfall on the property in my opinion was the outdoor space. The large table was on the lower deck right outside the kid's room. This wasn't ideal for groups with small kids who get to bed earlier. The owner was responsive and friendly. Overall, great experience and yet another amazing vacation on beautiful Norris Lake!

Beautiful view

We rented this home for thanksgiving to meet mid way with family. The driveway is very steep! The house doesn’t allow pets yet I saw pet hair all over the floor. Overall the house did not look like it was just cleaned for our visit but rather like it sat for a while not being rented. Another disappointing thing was it didn’t have a wine bottle opener. I messaged the owner and they said there should be one but there wasn’t. I would have expected them to send one over. It definitely didn’t provide any of the usual necessities you get with other rental cabins such as paper towels, trash bags etc. Found that kind of weird. Overall the house is spacious and views are beautiful. We enjoyed the kayaks and had a great time.

Great location

We loved being so close to the best jumping wall on the lake. The kids spent every day jumping. We also were close enough to get ice cream everyday at multiple marinas. The extra room on the dock was great for the kids that didn’t want to float in the cove. The 90 some stairs from dock to house weren’t as bad as we anticipated-as long as you aren’t bringing a cooler full of food and drinks back at the end of the day.

Quiet Spot on the Lake!

We enjoyed our stay so much! We had four adults, and four children ranging in age from 2-9. There was plenty of room to spread out, and the kids enjoyed the lower level. The dock was perfect for swimming and docking our boat for the week. We utilized the paddle boat, kayaks, and floaties as well! The cove is quiet and does not have a lot of boat traffic. We were able to fully relax and enjoy the clear water and beautiful views of Norris Lake! We would definitely return!

Fantastic Stay! You can’t go wrong with this property and location!

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this house. We love the cove, the area of the lake, the dock and the house. The hosts are very responsive and even took the time to call us to make sure everything was good the second day of our stay. We did have an incident where thief’s stole items off our two boat mid week. Items stolen were not visible from water. Even if you think something secure and hidden, a thief will always find a way. This was unfortunate and we learned a hard lesson. However the owners were great in keeping in contact with us while we worked with law enforcement. The officer stated they get 3-4 reports daily for the entire lake. We would stay here again.

Hiawassee @ Norris Lake

This property is very nice and on a quiet cove which makes it great to swim in lake. There is a marina just a 5 min boat ride away that will drop off your boat rental right to dock, which was very convenient. All the stairs from house to dock can make it challenging and a chore if you forget something and very slippery when caught in rainy weather. Three recommendations to the owners: 1) the path from stairway to house, which are pavers in the ground on the hillside...are dangerous when wet. Maybe a concrete sidewalk would be better. 2) the baby gate at house does not fit the opening at top of stairs, would recommend finding one that does. We had a toddler with us and had to improvise to block the stairway. 3) the new lights installed in master bathroom above sink are not high enough for average height people. Both my husband and I are 5'9" and 5'8" respectively and had to duck to see in the mirror. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property and hope to be back.
