Perfect house in a perfect place

Our first trip to Yachats in over 20 years. This is as good as VRBO gets. Lovely 3 bedroom very well decorated and appointed house with every detail well conceived and well done. Easy parking, easy covered and protected breezeway entrance, quiet side street location only 2 blocks from ocean and the marvelous extensive walking pathways of Yachats. Easy stroll along the ocean (15-20 minutes) to "downtown" Yachats which has several fine restaurants and other shops and services. Large and very functional kitchen really had everything a good chef would need including plenty of countertop and island surface for prep work. Bedrooms very comfortable, quiet and good shades. Large bathrooms, one with tub, very nice dining room with a through and through fireplace that joins the large comfortable living room. TV's in every room for those who wish them. Beautiful full sized pool table in separate front room for those who know how to play. Full size laundry with large washer and dryer and laundry sink. House looks dog friendly with some accessories tucked here and there. Lovely fenced in back yard with picnic table, large gas barbecue grill, hot tub (which we didn't use) and well maintained plantings. Nice front deck with good sun exposure. We had perfect weather this week which made it all the more enjoyable but house was well equipped with lots of books, movies, games, etc. for those potential rainy days. We will be back!

Christmas vacation.

When I booked this house, I did it with stormy weather in mind. We made use of the hot tub accept during the sixty mile in hour gusts. For this reason, we chose not to use the fireplace. The pool table was a lot of fun to play. We would have walked to the beach, but the wind was blowing too hard. We were able to cook prime rib with all the fixings for Christmas Eve.The potential for tide pooling in the area will encourage me to come back and book another stay in the future.

Location was great, house is easily accessible. We had a 91 year old with us. Kitchen has everything you could need. Could have been cleaner, sheets and bedding needs updating.

Kitchen equipment was over-the-top exceptional!Loved the enclosed front deck! Loved the grassy backyard for the dogs. The only issue was it needs a gate at the front to totally enclose the backyard area. We “Jerry-rigged” something that worked. Otherwise it was perfect and we’ll be back next year!

What a Great Stay!

We really liked the layout of the home. It felt roomy with areas for people to visit, have a meal, watch TV, play games, and play pool. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable, and the master bathroom had two sinks which was nice. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we especially appreciated having both a Keurig coffee pot and an automatic drip coffee pot.The home was close to the Yachats Trail which is beautiful and we enjoyed walking along it both ways--into town and along the ocean to the beach access. There are many neat trails in the area and at Cape Perpetua. Yachats has good restaurants and wonderful little shops. The business owners were so friendly and the Visitors Center had lots of helpful information. We can't wait to come back in August with our family.Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
