The Space:
The bright, inviting living room features a large, comfortable sectional sofa, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, the home comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests. Prepare delicious meals in the fully equipped kitchen, complete with a gas stove, refrigerator, and stainless steel appliances.
For entertainment, the garage has been converted into a game room where you can challenge each other to foosball or table tennis. We also provide everything you need for a seamless stay, including high-speed WiFi for work or streaming, Netflix for movie nights, and a washer and dryer for your convenience.
Our home is nestled in the charming coastal community of El Granada. You're just steps away from local favorites, with The Press cafe right on the corner and a short 5-minute walk to the beautiful Pillar Point Harbor.

The Neighborhood:
Princeton-by-the-Sea is a quiet neighborhood filled with ocean lovers and local shops. Walking distance, you'll find great places for breakfast or lunch like Ketch Joanne or Barbara's Fishtrap, which both have plenty of fresh seafood. For dinner, Mezza Luna is a nice Italian restaurant that is another local favorite.
The biggest attraction of the neighborhood, though, is surely the beach and harbor. You'll see sea lions napping on the docks and paddle-boarders on the weekends.

Getting Around:
By car, downtown Half Moon Bay is 5-10 minutes, SFO is 25 minutes, and downtown San Francisco is 40 minutes.
A car is highly recommended.

The property is great for pets. It is all fenced in and lots of fun walks to take the dogs on right from the house. We enjoyed our stay so close to the coast with so much to do. Great breakfast place "The Press" as well as the smoked meat place minutes away. Both delicious and fun.

What a great stay! We needed a property that would give us some space to spread out, provide safe/reliable parking and be dog friendly - this house was all that and more. It was well appointed, thoughtful touches throughout - dishes/linens/extra pillows, etc. We had a question or two along the way and had no problem reaching someone. They always made sure things were taken care of. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely return next time we’re in the area.

We were in town for a wedding and loved this location. So glad we didn’t stay in the city..and the drive to wedding festivities was relatively easy from this location. Easy access to hiking, walking, biking. Great breakfast options near by. The home worked well for our group of seven. We had so much fun exploring the area. We never even had the energy to play foosball or ping-pong!

Nice and clean
The property was nice and clean enough room for a family of 10. Its close to the pier food location. We loaded up the kiddos in the wagon and walk to Sam'sfish house. The house is in a prime location to walk almost everywhere no need to drive.The only set back was not enough bath towels so i do recommend to ask for more towels if your staying more then 1 night.Also the kiddos love the trampoline.I like the fact when you have a question they get back to you fast. This was my list time booking Vrbo and I will definitely stay here again.

The house was clean and spacious. The host responded quickly to questions. I missed kitchen towels, or something to dry dishes. It had a nice, clean yard. Master bedroom has trundle twin beds and a king. Not meant for all adult couples. I guess that's ok if you're traveling with children and want them in your room. Not much walk around space in the bedrooms. There were no dressers to store clothing in any rooms. Sofa bed was a sofa you could kind of put sheets on in the garage/game room, not the double pull out bed or twin that was listed as being in the living room. Not enough sheets or beds for 10 people. Sectional in the living room was comfortable and clean. We were out most of the day and only needed a place, mostly for sleeping. It's a good thing all 8 people I reserved for didn't come. Two more adults in our room would have been awkward.

Nice quiet neighborhood
Overall the house and neighborhood were nice and clean. Close to the harbor area.
There were additional rules and forms sent that we don’t normally see. There was a rule about no additional visitors stopping by, even during the day.
Usually, visitors can stop by as long as they don’t spend the night.
They requested an additional charge in case anything got damaged, which I refused to pay.
The bed was very comfortable.
The couches were not, with poor seating in the living room.
It’s a good place for up to 6 adults and 2 young kids.
They did supply some snacks in the kitchen, which was very nice.

Clean house but a few issues
The house was clean and modern and stocked with necessities. Decent rooms. But i wouldn’t quite say cozy. Great location. But we did have a few issues. Our hot water heater went out and instead of sending someone out (because it was a weekend and I’m sure they’d have to pay more for a maintenance guy) we ended up spending the day you tubing how to fix it ourselves. Really frustrating. Also, there are cameras everywhereeeeee. It just made us feel like we were in a fishbowl with no privacy. Even all over the backyard.

We apologize that we didn't come onsite to turn the breaker back in the garage for you, sorry we took it lightly, we certainly didn't see it would make your day very stressful. As we already explained to you, we have outdoor cameras to be a responsible host, make sure guests don't host parties or events on our properties, also it is requested for insurance purposes in our industry, but we did clearly state that in our description. House needs some updates
Here are the points summarized back to the owner or rental company during our stay. They responded but did nothing to correct any problems during our stay itself.
- The kitchen is not fully stocked as promised in your VRBO posting. There was no salt, no pepper, no oil and other staple goods usually expected in this type of rental.
- The utensils in the kitchen are worn out, many of the the cups and bowls are chipped and the pots, pans and cooking trays are both worn and were filthy. They had to be scrubbed and thoroughly cleaned before use.
- The house would benefit from a doormat or two and a place to put shoes at the front door to help keep things clean.
- The washer does not work with the detergent provided as it does not dissolve in the detergent tray, the dryer filter was completely blocked and so the dryer was not operational, the dryer vent was detached and so the garage was filling with damp air (we cleaned the filter and fixed the detached vent temporarily - I recommend you get this properly serviced).
- The outside light does not work in the rear of the house and the trampoline is not anchored securely to the ground constituting a safety hazard in our view.
- The gopher / mole deterrents placed in the front and back yards are annoying as they make a buzzing noise for most of the night which has kept our light sleepers awake.
- Lastly, the rear neighbor has a dog that seems aggressive towards kids while they play in the back yard.
The location was great, our kids enjoyed playing with foosball and ping pong. If some updates were made, this would be a nice play to stay with a family.

Location Location Location
First of all, we stayed 2 weeks! There was plenty to do! We hiked (Mavericks, Quarry Park, McNee Ranch), the kids surfed (Tommy Tsunami lessons), and we ate so much seafood! The location of the house is perfect. Easy walk to coffee and of course gelato for the kids. It's wonderful to be there esp. during the weekdays. Musts are cafe mocha at The Press and gelato at Caffe Mexxa Luna. Do not miss La Costanera! We almost did. Princeton by the Sea is a special place and a must-do before word gets out!
The house was perfect for us; three bedrooms, and a good size kitchen. For a couple of nights in between, we shopped for dinner at Spangler's market. All fresh produce, meats, and dairy goods. It felt like a home for two weeks. We will miss our HMB adventure and look forward to the next one!

Princeton-by-the-Sea is a quiet neighborhood filled with ocean lovers and local shops. Walking distance, you'll find great places for breakfast or lunch like Ketch Joanne or Barbara's Fishtrap, which both have plenty of fresh seafood. For dinner, Mezza Luna is a nice Italian restaurant that is another local favorite.
The biggest attraction of the neighborhood, though, is surely the beach and harbor. You'll see sea lions napping on the docks and paddle-boarders on the weekends.
