We appreciate this detailed review and take it serous. The cottage is nest in a beautiful garden setting. In the middle of a cornfield, It is an older building. It has central air, but additional window units in the master bedroom and the smaller bedroom. This is very common in older buildings. I apologize that the table lights did not work. Those are LED lights that can be charged with a phone cable. The light in the shower works but is has to be pressed on. It’s a touch on touch off light. Most of our guests come here to enjoy a peaceful quiet retreat. Enjoy the gardens the lake we never had any complaints about the beds. We are in the process to exchange the twin beds. They are certainly not cots:) They are hand built wooden beds. (my husband is a carpenter and built them) I also apologize that the little loft was really warm. We had 100° weather at the time you visited our place and beforehand a lot of rain. It was very humid in those days. It happens that a higher area in the house is warmer because it’s under the roof. This is usually not an issue when it’s not this hot and humid outside. This Cottage is charming very spacious and clean. The price is very affordable as you mentioned, We usually do not have guests who expect a luxury destination. I do believe we are very honest in our description. I am very sorry that you were displeased. Most of our guests will enjoy the outdoors, the beauty of the gardens the lights strung up in the trees. They walk down to the lake for a moment of reflection. Enjoy the fire pit, they outdoors, nature, etc., etc.. Again, our apologies that you have not enjoyed it. $129 for six guests is a rare find. Thank you for your review, Lisa. We are taking those very serious. We had a check out not too long before you arrived, and we noticed there was some smell that we tried to figure out if it was from their cooking or the dog that they had. Therefore, we placed a few candles and fragrance, and I apologize for that. It usually does not have a smell. It’s spring time soon we are placing those screens in shortly. We are actually in preparation of the property cleaning out windows staining porches, etc. you probably saw that we were at work outside also with mulching so these are all spring activities for our gorgeous garden area and cleaning out the windows with the screens is part of it. We left all the beautiful gorgeous garden lights on for you hoping you would enjoy the outdoors. We hope you did.
