Der entspannendste und beeindruckendste Ort für Ihren nächsten Aufenthalt in Yosemite ist The Secret Meadows Retreat.

Dieses Einfamilienhaus befindet sich auf einem eigenen 16 Hektar großen Grundstück mit Wiesen und Wäldern. Es verfügt über ein Schlafzimmer sowie ein Loft-Schlafzimmer, ein großes Wohnzimmer mit Sofas und einem Holzkamin.

Bei Hirschen und anderen Wildtieren ist dies ein exklusives Erlebnis, das zum ersten Mal probeweise als Verleih angeboten wird.

Wenn Sie durch drei Tore und 300 Meter die private Auffahrt hinunter fahren, gelangen Sie zum Haus und zur ersten Wiese.

Dies ist ein altes Gehöft mit nur einer Handvoll Hütten in der Nähe, die alle weit genug entfernt sind, um Ihnen absolute Privatsphäre zu bieten (mit Ausnahme von Rehen, Vögeln und anderen Wildtieren). Angrenzend an und umgeben von Tausenden von Assen des Stanislaus National Forest, auf die über Wanderwege und alte Forststraßen vom Retreat aus zugegriffen werden kann.

Das Hotel liegt nur 400 Meter vom Highway 120 entfernt, ungefähr acht Kilometer westlich des Eingangs der Big Oak Flat zum Yosemite-Nationalpark in der Hardin Flat.

Dies ist eine unglaubliche Destination, die Sie zufrieden stellen kann, ohne sich in das Yosemite Valley zu wagen, obwohl der Eingang zum Big Oak Flat zum Yosemite nur weitere zehn Minuten die 120 hinunter liegt.

Great large cabin, very private but still close to the NP entrance. Nice trails with seating areas around the cabin. Washer and dryer (outside basement entrance) were awesome to have on a long trip. Make sure to get detailed directions and info on getting in the gates and the house ahead of time, because there is basically no cell service anywhere nearby. WiFi in the cabin worked well.

I'm glad you enjoyed Secret Meadows Retreat, Laura. We just converted to Starlink and it's a big improvement from Hughesnet. The 14 acres of meadows, forest and trails do provide unbeatable privacy. I just spent four days there and didn't see another human, just deer, hawks and bullfrogs. Verizon comes in well, but not T Mobile or AT&T. I hope you get a chance to return, or to check out my riverfront property one mile away.

Beautiful location and close to Yosemite park entrance. We stayed two nights and it was a great place to come back to at the end of a few long days. Be sure to get your directions laid out ahead of time due to spotty service in the area and reach out to the owners for instructions on how to operate the AC. The owner is very accommodating and will help with whatever questions you have

Nice cabin fantastic location

Only a couple of miles from the Oak Flats gate and this made a huge difference. You don’t realize how long it takes you to get around Yosemite. Great communication with the owner, perfect directions. Overall a great stay.

We're glad you enjoyed Secret Meadows Retreat and it's 14 acres of extremely private and tranquil meadows and forest. We'd love for you to return or to try Secret Rivers Retreat, with 250 feet of private frontage on The South Fork of The Tuolumne River and just 5 miles to the Park entrance. Or the combination as they are only one mile apart.

Location was excellent for access to Yosemite NP. Facilities were good, although, furniture was a bit uncomfortable. Listing indicated internet, however, not working and could not reach owner to resolve. Very limited cell service. We also ran out of drinking water. Shower hand sprayer was broken.Would stay there again due to location.

Hello Frank, I'm glad you would like to stay again and that you enjoyed the beauty, tranquility and privacy of Secret Meadows Retreat. As you know we discovered the Hughesnet satellite transmitter was knocked out of position by a windstorn but fortunately our Starlink was working the whole time and my caretaker gave you that password when he came to address the issue.This (Mother Nature) is why we pay for two separate internet providers at Yosemite. The shower head holder did get broken during the prior stay and was replaced. In regards to the furniture I was actually in agreement and a step ahead on the furniture. I have a whole new sofa set going in to the living room.

Yes, that fireplace is very enlightening. and comforting., especsially after a long day outdoors. And our fourteen acres of private meadows, forest and trails provide a "Yosemite" experience with no other people, just deer, hawks, squirells, woodpeckers and other freendly neighbors.

The property itself was great; fantastic location with good amenities. The place was well stocked with clean items. The main issue I had was the AC. Turns out someone turned off the faucet to the heat exchanger but that left my family and I in a house that would get to about 95 inside. Overall a fantastic experience in a rustic cabin in the woods. It was just hot!

Secret Meadow is a gem!

We had a wonderful time in this sweet cabin in the in a magical setting. Accommodations are very comfortable. and clean. The quiet, serene setting really makes it unique find. Dan was super kind and very easy to communicate with. We look forward to coming back.

A Mountain Meadow Haven

Beautiful spot nestled in nature--it is very private. We had a comfortable stay here while exploring Yosemite and it was perfect for us to come "home" to such a tranquil setting. I especially appreciated walking the land at twilight with the solar lights leading us up to magnificent sunsets. Also in the morning as we breakfasted and looked out over the meadow, the sun refracts off the glass dining table and the reflection of the trees that surround the house is so lovely.

I'm glad you had a great getaway and that you enjoyed Secret Meadows Retreat. It's rewarding that you noticed, enjoyed and appreciated the whole 14 acres. Our forest is recovering from The Rim Fire of 2013 with thousands of new trees shooting up. I just enjoyed a week at the retreat and did that loop trail Thursday night. I had forgotten how big the property is, and that you can have a good, long hike without leaving the property. It also made me decide to make better use of the western side of the property, so expect at least a tree house, rope swing, or more when you return, and I hope you do.

Beautiful and convenient

We really enjoyed our stay at this clean, comfortable, rustic home. It's located in a beautiful natural setting which feels remote, but is very conveniently situated off Route 120 and near the Yosemite National Park entrance. We enjoyed watching the deer in the backyard! (We had some trouble with a gate when checking in due to a one-time fluke situation related to the recent record snowstorms which the owner was very helpful in resolving.)

Family Base Camp

This was a good spot to base out of when visiting the park. It was fairly close to the park. There is a gas station between the house and the park which is very handy. The owner was very helpful and attentive over email. We did not hang out at the cabin much. We did cook our breakfast and supper meals there. The kitchen and laundry facility’s worked well. It is a quiet spot so sleeping after a hard day of activity was not an issue. I recommend this place. Especially if you like privacy.

The cabin is situated in a beautiful area. Just up the way are amazing vistas along the basically private mountain road. Deer and beautiful stars; Peace and Quiet. Not far from the Valley floor ~45 minutes , Close to Hetch Hetchy resevoir and the Tuolomne Valley there are numerous options for day hikes and exploration. The loft has two beds in a shared space and works best for families or kids. Owner was helpful and very responsive. Overall a positive experience

Beautiful, quiet cabin!

This is such a lovely and comfy cabin! Big windows look out onto a wonderful meadow. Very quiet. Great location! Dan was terrific - responded quickly and helpfully. While it is not that long into Yosemite Valley, if you get tired of the drive, there are lots of other hikes closer, too. (We did both and loved it!) The bed downstairs (the only one we used) has a very comfortable mattress. Be sure to sit out on the deck for happy hour or your meals and breathe in the mountain air! We totally enjoyed our stay.

Great property- family enjoyed it

It is a great cabin in a great location. It was comfortable and spacious. I didn’t mind the outdated decor. Cabin needs a few minor repairs: front door difficult to open, screen door broken, some odor in carpets. Otherwise, the rest was all in order. Communication ahead of the stay was lacking. I did not get any responses except automated ones from my messages via the VRBO app or any check in info until a few hours before the stay. It had me a bit concerned. But I believe it was likely an anomaly as others rated the communication well

I'm glad you enjoyed the cabin and the great setting with our private meadows, springs and forest just a few miles from the Yosemite entrance. With vacation rentals things always get broken but we have a good crew and fix thnigs as soon as we note them. New screen door, carpets cleaned reguarly, one of the three doors does rub a bit on the deep carpetting in the living room but it's more important to have a tight seal. We don't send many messages pre stay except for the check in instructions but we do respond promptly to any questions. VRBO sends allot of automated messages, and we do have an auto reply which goes out to inquires. At the request of our housekeeper we don't send the entry code until after she has left. It's a beautful, private setting but it is "remote", as it's an old homestead property surrounded on four sides by Stanislaus National Forest (and 6 miles from Yosemite National Park).

Gem in a meadow

We had a lovely time in the house that accommodated our family of 4. Dan's communication was friendly and superb as we thought Yosemite would not be an option for visiting due to a road closure. He sent us a detailed email walking us through everything to do in the area that was not Yosemite valley; places to eat, hikes at Hetch Hetchy, etc. His knowledge of the area is vast and very helpful. There is a lovely meadow on the property and our only regret is we did not get a chance to explore the acreage on the property. The location is so close to the entrance. It made going into the valley super easy as we got lucky and the road opened.
