Wildwasser Berghütte am Fluss

Eine moderne Blockhütte direkt am Fluss Cullasaja mit Blick auf Stromschnellen nahe der Basis eines 250-Meter-Wasserfalls. Die Landschaft ist atemberaubend und das Rauschen des Wassers ist wirklich belebend. Highlands liegt etwa 20 Minuten östlich auf einer wunderschönen kurvenreichen Straße mit malerischen Wasserfällen, die Sie entlang der Route erkunden können, wie z. B. Bridal Veil Falls und Dry Falls. Highlands ist eine großartige Stadt mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und einem Gourmet-Lebensmittelgeschäft. Sie möchten einige Zeit damit verbringen, die Hauptstraße durch die Stadt auf und ab zu laufen. Betrachten Sie auch die leichte Wanderung auf den Sunset Rock (kurz nach Highlands, bleiben Sie auf derselben Straße) bei Sonnenuntergang, um einen schönen Blick auf die Stadt zu erhalten. The property was lovely and the website description and pictures were very accurate. The view is amazing and this is a very relaxing place to stay. Short drive into town for restaurants, etc. Also the house is equipped with lots of extras- nice glasses, pots and pans, etc.

The cabin was unbelievable! Everything was as described and how everyone in the reviews said it was and better. We loved everything about the cabin and the location is stunning. Best VRBO ever!

Our family of four had an amazing visit to the Highlands this past week. We have stayed at a lot of VRBOs over the years and this Cabin was far the best accommodations we have ever had. The owner has thought of everything. The cabin is stocked with everything you might need and the view is breathtaking. I could sit on that deck for hours watching the river, and I did! The host Bettina was very responsive and even messaged us to check on us after a bad storm to make sure that we were well. We will definitely be returning in the future when we need a mountain getaway.

A Gem So Special You Want to Keep it Secret

This was our 2nd stay at this property and we absolutely love it there. As my title suggests you want to hide knowledge that it exists it’s that special. But out of respect for the owner and manager, I’ll tell you…this is as great of mountain rental experience as you’ll find. The magic of the property and home will be quite evident when you arrive. I don’t need to sell it. And Bettina is (by far) the best rental host I’ve come across. She hits all those special touches above and beyond to make your stay truly wonderful. We love this place.

Idealistic Mountain River Cabin

My wife and I absolutely loved our 5 night stay at this magnificent property. From the beginning meeting the host, Bettina, to the ease of checkout at the finish, it was a pure delight. 5 star in every way. The cabin is super clean, gorgeous, and has everything you could possibly need. It’s a superstar by itself. But the megastar of the show is the stunningly perfect river right outside everywhere you look or listen. It’s something you have to experience to understand, but this is a special place. Highly recommend. We will definitely return, and it can’t come soon enough 😊

The pictures do not do this house justice.

You always rent places and hope they live up to the expectations of what you see in the photos. Well this place did not disappoint, it went way beyond. The view from every single room was just spectacular. The sound of the rushing water was so very peaceful, as was the setting. Every rooms were exceptionally clean and well stocked. The kitchen was a special delight with high quality All-Clad, sharp knives and a full stock of spices for use. The beds were comfy and the furnishings were all either new, or high-quality very gently used. The back screened in porch with its large table gave us many hours of fun playing Rummikub and Yahtzee. I do recommend bringing a citronella candle for said back porch when visiting during the summer. The screens are in good working order, but the tiny bugs always find a way. There are lots of falls, hikes and towns within a hours drive all around the area. So many things to see; we could have spent a month and not seen it all. Before I booked, I read one reviewer who was concerned about a possibly nosey neighbor. I was a little worried I was going to look on the ridge above and see large home with visible cameras spying on me (you know, the photo they leave out). Absolutely not. The only thing to see is beautiful forest and a beyond your expectations view. Simply respect the neighbors serenity and privacy and neither one will know each other is there. This is a five star place all day long, and our stay truly a pleasure.

Fantastic mountain getaway. This was our second stay and we just love this place. It has everything you could need. We fished out back, played horse shoes, roasted s'mores, cooked, grilled, lazed in the hammock. The sound of the river is very relaxing. Really special place. 20 min from Highlands off of scenic route 64.

Amazing River Cabin!

We just returned from our stay at this perfect Cullasaja River cabin and I cannot say enough good things about it! The river setting is so beautiful and peaceful and the cabin was so clean and comfortably furnished. We loved every minute of our stay and hope we can return soon. My husband enjoyed being able to fly fish for trout right outside the door and even caught a couple! I highly recommend this amazing place!
