A relaxing week

We had a really relaxing week. Right from the start the communication and directions from Tim (property owner) made for a quick and trouble free transfer from the airport. The property was well equipped with everything you could need. Air conditioning to all floors controlled separately. Also very secure. 2 pools meant that we were able to pick depending on whether we wanted to relax or be closer to more people. 5 minute walk to the beach where there was a very good restaurant. Supermarkets close as well. We had a really quiet relaxing week but the property is pretty close (10 min drive or taxi) to brighter lights if that is what you want. I saw a lot of golf clubs very close and wished I'd brought my clubs!! A really nice place we would recommend to anyone.

We had a great time. The beach is just a short distance away but you still probably need a car as its just far enough away and you have to cross a duel carriageway. Although it is still well within walking distance. The house is in good order...One small criticism - some of the kitchen equipment could do with updating. The house is situated in an area that means within a short time you can be in Estepona, or a half an hour or so away is Marbella, or you could be in some of those beautiful mountain villages within a short time. We visited a variety of the local beaches and each one offers something different. But with our three young kids were equally happy around the pools in the complex which was very safe (gated) and there were plently of friendly people. The agent was also very prompt in dealing with our relatively late booking and everything was just as described. We spent three weeks there..but the whole thing felt like six months to me. Very enjoyable and would highly recommend.

We spent 2 weeks in the hous and enjoyed every day. The House is exactly like described. Everything was perfectly clean. The funiture is used of course, but in good shape. The equipment is very well, there was nothing we missed. Every device worked without any problems. It is a place to feel good and relax. We often spent the evenings at home instead of going out. There is a pool in the complex, which is also very clean. The Garden is kept in shape very well. We had no Bugs at all, except some ants on the patio, but that was no problem. The Location is excellent. It took us a 5-10 mins walk to the beach. If you walk, you have to cross the highway. For that reason there is a pedestrian bridge. We mostly took the car, so we reached the beach within 2 mins. Parking at the beach was no Problem. The beach is very large, and in October there were almost no people. You can take long walks along the beach. When the weather was windy, the sea is quite strong and the waves get bigger, which can be dangerous for children. We hat nice (sunny and warm) weather except two or three days in October when the sun lost the fight against the clouds. The direct location is not really entertaining, but if you have a car, you will reach Places with Entertainment really close. A Car is recommended. Shopping would take time when you walk. With the car, you can reach supermarkets (Lidl, Mercadona – we recommend Mercadona) within 5 Minutes. It’s a good place to start trips with the Car. Marbella and Gibraltar (Shopping !!) is about 20-25 mins away. Malaga about 45 Minutes. To Sevilla or Granade you have to drive about 2,5 hrs. The time also depends wether you take the free highway or the toll-route. The contact to the owner Tim was very easy and friendly. He did everything to make sure, that everything is well organized. And the Organization was perfect. Information: For Internet, you will have to pay extra-cost. TV-Programm is english (but who needs WWW and TV during the Holidays?) We had a wonderful holiday and the reason for that was also the nice house and the perfect Organization. We would spend our holidays any time again at this place and we can recommend the house to everybody. Thanks a lot again, Tim!

Toller Urlaub!

Wir waren 2 Wochen in dem Haus und haben jeden Tag genossen. Das Haus entspricht exakt den Beschreibungen. Es ist sehr sauber, wir hatten nicht den geringsten Grund zur Beanstandung. Die Mƶbel sind natürlich gebraucht, aber in gutem Zustand. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, wir haben nichts vermisst. Alle GerƤte haben ohne Probleme funktioniert. Es ist ein Platz zum Wohlfühlen und Entspannen. Wir haben hƤufig die Abende im Haus verbracht, statt auszugehen. In der Anlage ist noch ein Pool, der sehr sauber ist. Der Garten wird auch regelmäßig gepflegt. Ungeziefer gab es keines, nur einige wenige Ameisen auf der Terasse, aber das war nicht der Rede wert. Die Lage ist gut. Zum Strand haben wir zu Fuss ca. 10 Minuten gebraucht. Hierbei muss die Autobahn überquert werden, wofür es aber eine FussgƤngerbrücke gibt. Wir sind fast immer mit dem Auto zum Strand gefahren, dann braucht man keine 2 Minuten. Parken am Strand war kein Problem. Der Strand ist sehr groß/lang und im Oktober war er fast menschenleer. Man kann sehr gut spazieren gehen. An windigen Tagen kann es jedoch etwas größere Wellen geben – für Kinder nur bedingt geeignet. Das Wetter war im Oktober überwiegend schƶn, es gab 2 oder 3 windige, bewƶlkte Tage. Der Rest war sonnig und angenehm warm sowie strandtauglich. In direkter Umgebung gibt es nicht sehr viele Unterhaltungsmƶglichkeiten, aber mit dem Auto kommt man schnell an Orte, wo mehr los ist. Ein Auto ist empfehlenswert. Einkaufsmƶglichkeiten sind zu Fuss nicht sehr gut zu erreichen. Mit dem Auto kein Problem (2-5 Minuten). Es gibt einen Lidl und einen Mercadona (wir empfehlen Mercadona) im nƤchsten Ort. Mit dem Auto kann man von hier auch sehr schƶne Touren starten. Gibraltar und Marbella sind 20-25 Minten entfernt, Malaga ungefƤhr 45 Minuten. HƤngt auch davon ab, ob man die Mautstrecke oder die kostenfreie Strecke fƤhrt. Sevilla, Granada ist schon etwas weiter, wir haben jeweils ca. 2,5 h benƶtigt. Der Kontakt zu Tim war sehr unkompliziert und freundlich. Er war stets in Sorge, alles perfekt zu organisieren. Und alles hat auch perfekt funktioniert. Info: Internet kostet extra, TV-Programme englisch (aber wer braucht schon Web und TV im Urlaub?) Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub und das lag auch an dem tollen Haus und der perfekten Organisation. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort hin gehen und kƶnnen das Haus nur jedem empfehlen. Nochmals vielen Dank, Tim!

Really cute house on the outside, needs a little work on the inside

When you drive up the hell where the house is situated, you immediately get a Holliday feeling. The houses look exactly like the picture, super cute and colorful. When we came inside, we noticed a few things. First of all, its wonderful you have a little garden to eat, relax and bbq. The garden is really close to the pool, which is also very handy. The kitchen isn't big but there is enough space. The appliances are a bit old though and could need a bit of updating but they did work still. Since we arrived quite late in the evening and the shops had closed already, it would've been nice to at least have a bottle of water in the fridge (since you can't drink from the tap), so that's a tip. Our main problem with the kitchen was that there weren't enough tools. The cutlery was only enough to have one meal with six people, which wasn't very handy. Also there only was one wooden cutting board and not very good knives. We ended up buying some cutting boards, because we cooked quite a bit. The bedrooms were alright, though the bedroom with the z-bed was very cramped so you couldn't open the closet. It was nice to have airconditioning on every floor and WiFi as well, though we had to pay for that. The bathrooms were also decent. We did notice the cleaning wasn't done that well, so that could've been better but it wasn't dirty either. The location was nice, it was close to the beach and only about 15 minutes to Estepona. The contact was very good still at home, but once we were there we had trouble getting a hold of the Keyholder during our stay, but everything ended up working out in the end. I do recommend this place, but there is a lot of room for improvement.

Perfect place to relax

We had a lovely time at this Spanish home. If you are wanting a perfect family getaway this is the place. The house was clean and well equipped with plenty of DVDs to keep the family entertained when we fancied a night in, alternatively a short walk took us to a few nice restaurants., we particularly liked La Sal on the beach. There are also numerous places to eat if you fancy a 20 minute walk to Sabinilas or a short drive to both Estepona and De Quesa The house also had a lovely back garden where you can sunbathe and experience some outdoor dining in the glorious sunshine. The gate at the bottom of the garden leads to the beautifully kept gardens on the complex and a lovely outdoor pool where we enjoyed a swim most days. The beach was also lovely which was a 10 minute walk from the house which we visited most days and occasionally a short drive to some of the other nearby beaches which were all lovely. The house and area is also extremely peaceful. Overall I would say this is a great destination whether holidaying with adults only or taking younger children, we will certainly be returning.

Lovely villa in great location

This was our first family holiday with a toddler, Tim was great answering any questions we had and also providing a cot for the baby and there was also a high chair available to use. The house was in a fantastic location approximately 10 minutes’ walk to the nearest beach bar. It was clean and tidy with fresh linen and towels provided. There is an outside patio area with an enclosed garden (table/chairs & sun loungers provided), which leads out to the pool area, the gardens and the pool are well maintained and really nice to sit and enjoy. La Sal at the bottom of the road is a lovely place to eat and is really convenient, the food is fantastic! If you want more traditional Spanish tapas then Estepona is a 10 min drive away and the old squares in the town centre provide many local tapas bars, which are also very good. Tim has been fantastic throughout the whole process and we cannot wait to return to the property for our next holiday.

Great Holiday

We've hired villas for our main summer holiday for over 10 years now but this was the best yet! Sara could not have been more helpful in assisting us with our booking and providing really good recommendations of places to visit and restaurants to eat at. We particularly enjoyed Casador in Estapona. The steak was massive and only 18 euros! The house and complex are located in such a beautiful and peaceful setting, we did not visit the beaches as often as we thought. The kids had a great time playing and swimming in the 2 pools which really made our holiday so much more enjoyable. The facilities in the house were excellent and it felt like home from home whilst catching a movie once the kids were settled, or Sky Sports when the football was on! Thanks so much and look forward to our next visit.

Fantastic holiday in a fabulous setting!

Just a quick email to say what a great holiday we had at the villa. The house was perfect. We particularly enjoyed relaxing/ sun bathing on the terrace/ garden with a great view of the communal gardens and pool area. We also felt really confident with the kids playing in the complex as it's totally gated and very secure. All the things you provided for little one such as cot etc was much appreciated. The kids really enjoyed the local play park where we also could unwind with a glass of wine or 2 in the cafe! As you suggested we took our ski clothes with us and drove to Sierra Nivarda for 3 days skiing. Much closer than we first thought. Thanks so much and will definately be coming back next year!

Great house, place, area for good holidays!!!

We spent good holidays. The house is exactly as described. Plenty of room, pleasant barbecue, the kids enjoyed the pool which is illuminated at night for those who want to enjoy it. Just one thing, you really need a car in this area, because nearby, there isn’t so much things. With a car, 5 min to find something (supermarket, shops...) But in return, it is so quiet. I highly recommend to deal with Tim and family. Thanks a lot Tim

Great place: Townhouse1

We had a wonderful holiday at Casares Villa. With our two small children it was the perfect place to stay. Enough bedrooms, a big private garden with entrance to the public (parc only) garden with the swimming pool. At walking distance there is a playground where you can also have a drink or snack. The beach is very close, but if you want the best beach place you have to go to Estepona. There is a small bay where the sea water is very shallow so that is perfect for your kids. There are two restaurants, one we have had lunch which was perfect. Tim is very helpful if you need anything. He replies instantly if you send him a mail if you need anything. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and we will be happy to come back again. Ronald & Marrije

the villa was just as described,the layout was ideal for us allowing a bathroom for each bedoom Ideal if you are sharing with a big family or friends, as we were.The villa was also very clean and furnished just like a family home as apposed to a rental,very homely.The location of the villa was excellent 2 mins from the beach or a lovely pool right outside the back door,the grounds were well kept and we found from talking to people by the pool that alot of the properties were family homes which gave it a sense of security.We did hire a car to take us out and about although the taxi service seemed very reliable.The owner Tim was very helpful and always available for queries to be answered We really enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to anyone wanting to hire a villa.

El sitio es el lugar ideal para familia con niƱos,tranquilo, con playas extensas.La casa tiene todo lo necesario para ir de vacaciones,muy comoda,tiene un patio que se disfruta mucho con barbacoa y una piscina muy amplia.Lo unico que se hecha de menos es que en la television todos los canales son es ingles,no coje seƱal de EspaƱa.Sin duda repetire.

This was the first time we booked a villa through this site and I must say we've had an absolutely fantastic experience. The villa was exactly as described, even better than in pictures. spotlessly clean. There is a lovely garden with BBQ. The beach is a five minute walk away. The owner, Tim was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We had a ball of a time and I really cannot recommend this enough, especially for families looking to have a good, relaxing time, and with a car.

Our fabulous family holiday, september 2010

Perfect location for the quiet, relaxing holiday we were looking for, the villa exceeded our expectations! Tim went out of his way to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible from the first enquiry to the text when we landed back in the UK. The recommendations of things to do/ restaurants were spot on. We especially loved the Spanish restaurant 200 yards on the right at the bottom of the hill (cannot remember the name!) and Arroyo Honda. When we did decide to have a night in we were also highly impressed with the Mercadona supermarket with a fantastic fresh fish and meat counter. The kids loved the local playground and the day at Selwoo safari park. Really enjoyed the proximity to the local port - great for a chilling/ people watching with a large glass of wine! Some great walks along the seafront for the more energetic and only 20 minutes by car or cab from Puerto Banus for the beautiful people and all the designer shopping you could ever want. I think the thing that appealed most about the property was the location. Although a car would certainly be preferable - the location is actually no time at all from anywhere with a superb road network starting at the bottom of the hill. A brilliant house in a exclusive complex

We are a family of 5 with 3 children and had a fabulous time. The town house was modern and well furnished with everything supplied - comfortable beds, good sized TV, loads of DVD's, books, games etc and fully equiped kitchen. Really great location in this exclusive setting with easy access to the pool and gardens but also nice and private for chilling around the house/ sun terrace when required. The kids made some new friends with people who live full time on the complex which definatley gave us more time to relax! Suprising still very warm - mid 20's for this time of year. The playground is 30 secs walk away and very picturesque with hot & cold drinks/ ice creams etc. Supermarkets are easily accessable and loved the beaches, bars & restaurants in Estapona & Duquesa. Tim was a great help when we were planning our holiday and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend and will definately return soon. Thanks Simon, Julia and the kids! X

A Great spot for a family holiday

A great spot for a family holiday. Plenty of space in the villa, immediate access to the pool, friendly community and super little playground/cafe a short walk down from the villa to keep the younger children entertained. Within walking distance to the beach and a very popular but also good beach restaurant. Short drive to supermarkets. Marbella, Puerto Banus, Soto Grande & Gibraltar within easy reach. Would happily recommend.

My children and I have enjoyed many holidays at this property over the last 15 years, with a secure pool area within eyeshot of the private garden, we have always felt safe in letting the children play in the sunshine since they were very young. Growing up they have loved days out at nearby waterparks, zoos and even the occasional drive up to the snowy mountains for some Easter skiing weekends! As a semi-detached property located at the end of the terrace, this house is special in both its size (slightly bigger living space than the others on the complex!), and its direct access to the communal garden and pool area. Probably the best location on the complex!
