The Property Was Located Perfectly . We Had Easy Access To Granville Island ,Down Town Vancouver , Airport And Other Tourist Attraction. The House Was Perfect Comfortable Beds , Living Room Was Nice And The House Was Very Clean . I Would Definitely Recommend This Property.
We could not control the thermistat, had to call the owner in Winnipeg to get temp changed by remote control. Very light bedspreads not suitable for winter, no blankets available. Space heater was only option for additional heat, not an option we liked. Basement apartment was cold, hall sensor light came on every time someone got up, bathroom fan was noisy and stayed on long after bathroom use. Front steps uneven and no guardrail for elderly companions. I bumped my head on a protruding casement of the house when exiting climbing the basement stairs. Lucky I wasn't concussed.
As I told you before, I’m sorry you were not happy with the space during your one night stay. We put a lot of work into making our home nice for our guests and I always try to learn from their feedback.
We have radiant heat set at 21degrees Celsius. Our heating system is by Bosch and state of the art, on demand. Very efficient but the thing with radiant heat is it can take a few hours to heat up a space. People get impatient and continue to turn up the thermostat and in the end it’s way too hot. You asked me to turn the heat up to 25, which I did.
We have extra blankets in each room and small electric ceramic heaters in each bedroom which can make the room as warm as you want it.
The bathroom fans are controlled by a humidistat switch so that the humidity is automatically controlled. I haven’t noticed the fan s being excessively noisy but I’ll take a closer listen to them.
The auto light is for the entry door and hallway. It does come on often but that’s what we wanted. It only stays on for 15 seconds but I can see how some people could find it annoying.
Our lower level has 8 foot high ceilings with huge windows that make it light and airy. I have very accurate pictures and descriptions of our home online because I don’t want to misrepresent our home and I make it very clear that you have to walk to the corner of the house and walk down 8 stairs to enter the home.
I had sent you detailed entry instructions yet you and your elderly companions hauled all their luggage up the 12 steps to our front door and then had to haul it all back down again. I’m sure that was annoying.
Anyhow again, I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy the space.. By the way I don’t live in Winnipeg, I live upstairs at the home. Maybe you got my home confused with another one?
