Wenn Sie ein bisschen mehr Aufregung suchen wir Stirling als "Tor zu den Highlands" bekannt ist nur 8 Meilen entfernt, wo Sie Pubs Restaurants Freizeitmöglichkeiten Bowling und viele weitere historische Sehenswürdigkeiten finden. Wir sind auch zentral für Glasgow und Edinburgh beide etwa 35 Meilen entfernt. Ob Sie sich für einen actionreichen Urlaub oder einen erholsamen Urlaub Heather Reise nach erfüllt alle Kriterien.

This property was in a fantastic central location it was exceptionally clean had all the ammeneties needed for a fantastic holiday. The owners were kind helpful and knowledgable in all the local attractions and even provided the basics on arrival bread milk etc.

Had a lovely 4 night break. The property was perfect and very suited to our needs. Excellent location very central. Edinburgh is 30 miles one way and Loch Lomond 30 miles the other way. Falkirk Wheel is not too far away. Stirling is within easy reach too. There is some lovely walks in the nearby surrounding areas. There is local shops within easy walking distance of the property. Everything was great for a perfect break.
Overall, this was a lovely place to stay, with great views of the Ochil Mountains, very close to Stirling, with easy access to Falkirk and the Trossachs, and an hour from Edinburgh - it was very easy to get to. The place is a large annex attached to Jay and George's house: it is self-contained, large and comfortable, and we had our own entrance through the garage so could easily come and go. The garage was secure with plenty of room for both the car and my boyfriend's bike. The balcony is very large, and overlooks their back garden. Because of its size, it can be more private sitting further back. The kitchen was well-equipped, and everywhere was spotlessly clean.
Jay and George were very welcoming - we arrived much later than planned and they offered us food and drink from a bbq party they were holding! We didn't see much of them, as they went away on holiday, but their daughter was around in case we needed anything, and she was happy to help on the one occasion we knocked on the door. There was quite a bit of noise from the bbq they were having the night we arrived - music until midnight (which wasn't a problem for us) but loud singing and conversations sporadically from the kitchen until around 6am. Obviously, this is Jay and George's home, so parties are not a problem, but the noise was a bit much considering we had paid to stay there. There were quite a lot of people, and because it is someone's home, we didn't comfortable asking them to keep the noise down. It must be said that all other nights were very quiet, though, with the exception of one night when their daughter had friends over, and we could hear loud talking from the kitchen until the early hours. Both nights were Saturdays, which is fair enough to an extent, but we had had very long days (travelling up and a wedding).
However, I must emphasise how homely and comfortable the place was. It was lovely to come back to and spend evenings in. The sofas are extremely comfortable and everywhere was so clean when we arrived. The plug-in air fresheners and flowers were nice touches.
(A few little niggly things, as hopefully constructive feedback for Jay! The bed is very creaky, toilet is wobbly, there is no storage in the bathroom (a shelf below the mirror would be really helpful) or a shaving point, and the chest at the bottom of the bed is full of personal papers. None of these are a big deal, but if someone doesn't say it, you may not know!)
If you are wanting a holiday in the Firth of Forth area.....Look no further as the Heather Retreat has to be the best!
We were met by George, who showed us around this spacious, well equipped and very luxurious apartment and we were immediately pleased with our choice. You get use of the garage, which is your entrance into the smashing kitchen/dining room (With wet room just off to the side) and the stairs lead up to the fantastic living room/bedroom area. The view to the front is of the Ochill Hills and the huge balcony to the rear overlook the Garden of George and his Wife, Jay.
The Heather retreat is in a super location with Edinburgh, Stirling, Glasgow, The Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies, all being within easy reach. Just a tad further gets you to Perth, St Andrews, Cupar, Callander and even Dundee. The local area is great, with Alloa and Dollar right on your doorstep so everything from a Delicatessan to a choice of Supermarkets are available for all of your bits and bobs.
Jay and George are simply lovely, in fact they are the ideal hosts....They leave you to enjoy your holiday but are right there to help or advise if needed....Many thanks to you both, you made us welcome, in fact you made us feel like old friends
All in all, it was a great holiday and we hope to return to do all the things that we didn't have time to do in seven days.

This is a very centrally located place to stay in Scotland to take day trips from. Very comfortable to come back to each day. Kitchen with washing machine & dryer plus many other conveniences. Local shopping available for groceries but also has restaurants close by. Jay, the homeowner, was very helpful.
