The house was perfect for our situation. The game room was a hit. TV's in every room and 4 bathrooms were great. The open living and kitchen had plenty of space for all of us. And the multiple decks were perfect to spread out. Lots of kitchen supplies and a barbecue. We all didn't want to leave!

The house was beautiful and clean. The kitchen was especially impressive with its professional grade range and ample appliances and cookware. We were so cozy in the spacious main living room that we didn't really utilize all the great recreational items that were also available. We'd love to stay again!

Great Entertaining Option

I hosted a large group and this fit all our needs. Entertaining in the kitchen was easy and the property was enjoyable. We came during a huge snow storm. It would have been nice if the snow blower was located in the garage instead of the top balcony so we could actually use it for the driveway though. The roads to the house during the storm were decently maintained but you should have a capable car.

Great vacation home for big groups!

Great floor plan with an updated feel! This is a great property for a large family/group! Lots of rooms/beds with a good amount of bathroom space. Every person had their own space and no one felt too cramped for such a big family! The open kitchen and family room is great for entertaining and the game room is a huge bonus for all ages! Game room was the highlight of the house for the younger kids! We had some issues with the appliances in the kitchen, but the property management company was helpful and accommodating. Since the home sleeps up to 14 people, more dishes and towels would be nice. Overall, a very good space and we would consider staying again.

House Negatives:AC didn’t work the entire time. 4 different people giving me excuses each time such as I didn’t get your email, texts, send the pic again or a new person on the shift, please resend, etc. etc. After me initiating many times someone finally said they would come out. It rained the last day and the house was cooled off. Not impressed with Property Manager group at all. Mouse in the bathroom. Older furniture and rugs.Signs all over the house about not being outside or talking after 10 pm. Very steep stairs going up into the house and also inside the house. Front door on backwards, blocks the stairs, easy fix.Lack of patio furniture for more than 4 on the lower deck.Weird furniture table layout in pool table room makes no sense, need to remove the two overstuffed chairs in there.Dishwasher and oven doors not adjusted, closing properly.Busted through chair and handle on the stairs to garage was broken as well. This is a home that has been used hard and the Owners could easily update furniture layouts, new rugs, deep clean and add some patio furniture, space plan and it could be great. We had a good time but could have been better.

Lots of bugs

Overall the house is nice and cozy, big enough to accommodate a large group. It’s 3 stories so lots of stairs. If you have garbage to throw out you have to go from the 3rd floor where the kitchen is all the way down to the bottom floor in front of the garage, very inconvenient. The fridge ice maker was not working so we had no ice and it was very hot. The thermostat in the house was set so it doesn’t go below 70 degrees, it seemed hotter indoors and we couldn’t change it. Lastly the bug issue, lots of bugs walking around. When I woke up the first morning I had bug bites all over, I’m not sure if it was from the bed I was sleeping in or what. I’m in terrible pain and it’s so itchy, wish I could post the pictures.

Hello Hosai. Thank you for your feedback. Bears are a major factor in the placement of bear proof trash bins. Virtually all short term rentals have bear bins in front of the house or driveway for easy trash pickup by the refuse company. There is simply no other place the public refuse service can pickup the trash from. The thermostat has a sign to please not set below 70 degrees (setting below for prolong periods may cause icing conditions causing the AC to stop working until it is deiced over several days), however the thermostat is not locked. It is capable of being set below 70. We have had no other recent reports of bugs, however we did go ahead and spray the interior and exterior perimeter of the property as a precaution and will monitor any possible activity during each turnover. Outside the property, it should be expected that there is significant wildlife and insects of all types in the High Sierras especially after a major record breaking winter such as the winter of 2023. We do have an appliance repair company scheduled to inspect the ice maker on 7/20.

The pros: The house is big enough to accommodate large group, plenty of space. The owner thought of littles too. High chair and play pen. Big +. Game room is big bonus for sure. Now, For the price we paid I was expecting better stocked kitchen, a working, correctly and efficiently working bbq. Instead we got a bbq that caught fire due to being extremely greasy and dirty. This house is beat up. Please know. It’s beat up. The walls are nothing I’ve seen before, the broken railing the dirty carpet, uncomfortable and overly used furniture. You can’t get up out of it. Beds are whole other story. Master and one other room , beds were terrible. Large indent in the middle that pulls both ppl to the middle of the bed. Very uncomfortable. This house was not enjoyable for us it was only big enough to accommodate our party of 10-14ppl. It’s unfortunate. Please make changes and updates to justify the price. Will not be returning to this house.

Nice house, poor quality

The house is nice, but it is heavily used and poorly maintained. Below is a laundry list of things wrong with the house that I feel should be fixed. (Keep in mind we stayed 6 nights with 11 family members) - Basement Refrigerator Leaks and isn’t hooked up to water - Dishwasher bottom tray does not roll in the tracks - Oven door does not seal properly and the light doesn’t work - Several light bulbs in the house were out - One of the knoll post on the stairs was broken - The walls need painting (there is a lot of nicks and scratches) - The showers have river rock and it’s painful to stand on - The mattresses sag and are uncomfortable - Outdoor security camera doesn’t work - No vent in the kitchen (we had to open doors when cooking bacon) - Refrigerator water filter is 1 year overdue for a changing - One of true dining table chairs is broken - Couch is uncomfortable and hard to get out of for older people - Air purifier fan filters are filthy - Bathroom ceiling vent doesn’t work - Sinks in the bathroom are built for people 7ft tall - One of the cable tv controllers doesn’t work (yes we changed the battery and it still doesn’t work) There are also ALOT of stairs, so keep that in mind when you have to haul suitcases and groceries.

Great Location! Great Place!

We had a wonderful Tahoe vacation. This house is in a great location especially if you love to mountain bike. It is close to great trails and close to town. We had infants with us and they had a playpen and a high chair which was very nice. The game room was the kid hangout and the adults loved all the decks.

Great place for the family!

This home is very large and has a wonderful lay out. The kitchen area was very large plenty of room for all to move around. The game room was a huge bonus for the kids. We had two EV’s and the charger really was a plus for us. In all very comfortable and a great location. Saw quite a few bears in the neighborhood as well. Would stay here again.

Couple of issues

The oven was broken during our weeklong stay which was a challenge with all the groceries we bought. In addition, the property management only allowed 1 towel per guest which is absurd for the price we paid for the unit. With a hot tub on premises, guests would have to use a wet towel when getting out of the shower or the hot tub. Not a big ask to have 2 towels per house guest. Other than that it was a very nice house with great location.

Great family friendly space

This house was great for our group of 10, including 3 young kids. It’s spacious, comfortable, and in an excellent location near Heavenly and groceries/restaurants. One thing: It would be nice to have more dinnerware, as we only had enough plates, bowls, and silverware to cover one meal, so we constantly had to wash dishes. Other than that it was exactly as described. We’d definitely stay again.

Perfect for our family from the east and west coasts. Gathering room provided great space for our getaway. Bedrooms and bathrooms were ample, clean and comfortable.

Beautiful property and worthwhile stay!

This was the perfect house for our family reunion. It was beautiful and very spacious. The host was very prompt and responsive to all inquiries. Would definitely recommend!

Great place!

Very clean and modern house. It was a great time, no issues. Very strong WiFi, great updated appliances and a fire place in the master bedroom was a great touch! Would def stay here again.
