Relaxing Retreat

Beautiful tranquil setting. Property had everything we needed and only a 20 min drive to most popular hiking areas. Outdoor pool and fireplace area is lovely.

Little Slice of Heaven

We stayed at the Lakehouse which was the most beautiful cabin. Wonderfully decorated with such a welcoming atmosphere. The Plunge pool was super relaxing on the chilly nights with smores made by the outside fireplace! We had an amazing times and know it wont be our last time at Cherry Ridge! Can not wait to return!

Peaceful, Private, Spacious & Amazing

Appreciated the specific details for driving directions and amenities in the lake house. Prompt response from manager on our minor issue with the tv. Larger than the two of us needed, but such a perfect, serene getaway!

Clean and Serene!

We only stayed at the Lake House a few days but wished we had stayed longer! - The home was probably one of the cleanest VRBO homes that we have stayed at. - Management was very responsive to our questions regarding the house and were very friendly yet professional. - House had all of the amenities you could want and was private. You could see the "boat house" cabin's dock from the "lake house" cabin's dock, but other than that it was very private. - Loved the plunge pool and the outside fireplace.

Fun short break

Enjoyed a fun short break with a couple of friends. The plunge pool was nice. It could be made as hot as a hot tub, or cooled down (though it takes hours to change the temp either direction). The kitchen had plenty of dishes and utensils. The grill worked well. Only thing to keep in mind is there is another house behind a couple of pines that you can kind of see each other. So 95% secluded, not quite 100%.

Over the years many of our guests have asked how Cherry Ridge Retreat got its start. About 20 years ago we built our first cabin. Our goals at the time were to build a cabin as though it were a second home and situate it on a unique plot on the property to ensure perfect views and absolute privacy. The cabin featured two bedrooms with woodland views and included a boulder fireplace in the master bedroom. The living room was designed with wide-plank wood floors, cathedral ceiling, picture windows and a boulder fireplace. A spacious open-plan kitchen, suitable for preparing gourmet meals and a pristine bathroom completed the interior of the cabin. Adjacent to the cabin a deluxe hot tub was placed in its own gazebo to create a spa-like setting that included dramatic views of the natural surroundings.
Fast forward to today - Cherry Ridge Retreat now sets the standard for luxury and privacy in the Hocking Hills. Eight deluxe accommodations situated on 140 forested acres strewn with wooded paths, ambling streams, serene stocked fishing ponds, private picnic areas and stunning waterside gazebos make our resort an address of distinction. Unique features like in-ground heated pools, cold plunge and large gazebos with stone fireplaces are offerings not found at other resorts in Hocking Hills.
