Lovely place. Swimming in the pool with a glass of champagne with the view of the rice fields and coconut trees. Having breakfast prepared every day. Wayan and Siri were just wonderful. A little bit of a walk down the path but we really didn’t mind.

Wonderful

We had a wonderful stay. We loved the location and that it was off the main road. The walk to the villa was fun for our family. We loved all of the recommendations that Wayan made once we arrived and breakfast every day was delicious. We would recommend staying and have already told friends planning trips to Bali to try to book here. Our kids loved the pool after days of being out and about.

Great place to stay in Ubud with great support

First they were very accommodating. My job forced me to shift my vacation a couple of days and they were able to help. Mr. Wayan and Siri at the property were incredibly helpful. It was an idyllic location, great pool. Breakfast was wonderful. Plenty of space for a family (we have three kids). I highly recommend this villa.

Beautiful Ubud Villa

Perfect quiet location with amazing views! The villa was big enough for our latge group of 7. The rooms were air conditioned and very clean. The kids loved the pool. The staff went above and beyond cleaning, with breakfast, booking massages at villa, booking activities and getting us all day drivers. Would recommend and when we come back we will definitely rebook here.

Wonderful House

We have stayed at rental homes all over the world and this is one of our favorites! It’s a bit out of town but that gives it a wonderful retreat feel. There are restaurants and smaller markets nearby. There are paths through the rice fields that lead to town (30-45 min walk) that were a fun way to explore. The pool and outdoor space were perfect for relaxing. The house was very clean and the beds were all very comfortable. The couple that manages the property is so sweet and helpful for anything you need. Highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful villa for a family

We had a wonderful time in Ubud staying at Villa Gajah. A 10 min drive from central Ubud with a short few hundred metre flat walk to the front door is rewarded with a beautifully comfortable Villa, sensational views and glorious pool. We enjoyed in house massages, delicious cooked breakfasts and really appreciated Wayan’s assistance with anything we asked - lifts into Ubud, restaurant suggestions and arranging massages. Thanks for a great 4 nights. Our family of 7 enjoyed every minute.

Walk to Town thorough the Rice Paddies

You are 30 minutes from Ubud centre on foot or via car. The vista from the pool area is jungle and rice fields. You will be well looked after by breakfast chef/ caretakers Wayan and his wife. You have privacy, a nighttime frog chorus and plenty of comfortable seating in the living room and pool area.

Spectacular, dramatic setting that truly delivers

The villa exceeded all of our expectations. From the beautiful rooms, to the lovely hospitality, to the breathtaking pool and views, our family had a truly relaxing, yet immersive vacation at the villa. Don't miss the spectacular rice field walk into town (about 45mins with some rough patches) and do have Wayan cook up a Balinese feast for you one night you are there. Nothing about this place will disappoint. I will revisit it in my dreams. Thank you to all who made our stay very special!

The villa is in a great location with nice staff. Nevertheless villa is already in need of the repair. The furniture in terrace is covered with mold and stain, other furniture in the house is affected by constant humidity. So be aware, that villa doesn't look like in the pictures any more.

Experience of Rental in Ubud, Bali

The view is beautiful once you get to the patio and open dining area. Pak Wayan and Bu Suri prepared our nice breakfast daily. Pak Wayan provided us shuttle to Ubud Center as needed. As Seniors(80, 75, 68, and 60+ years old), we gave the villa a three star rating due to the following reasons, the path to go to the villa (approx.200 meters) from the main road is a public path therefore it can be busy with motorcycle(s) on both directions. So there are times we have to step aside and stand still till the motorcycle(s) pass by. Note: path is uneven. Also there is no path lights at night. We have to use our torch on our phone to get to our villa for 2 nights. When we enter the villa we have to use the steps with no railing which can be slippery when it's wet. 3 out of 6 days we were there it was pouring rain/wet. To go to the patio and swimming pool there are steps as well. Also there are no TV which we missed during the three days of pouring rain

Hello June, You made a mistake ... the 3 stars are for the rain not for the villa ... I don't tell you thank you for your unfair review, but every reason are right : - Sometimes, we have rains in Bali, maybe it is why we can have rice .... - There are 150 / 200 meters from the parking to the villa ... it is the end of the famous Rice Field path from Ubud to the Pyramid of Chi ... and it is not private path ....but one of the most famous walk of the area ... - You are seniors (80, 75 and 70 years old) and the house is not the best place for you... but I told you that before your booking , so it isn't fair-play to explain that you didn't know about the path and the stairs. - One of your reason is wrong ... We have a 4K TV in the living room .... You just had to ask to Wayan if you didn't know how doing... I am glad that you appreciated the view and the service of the villa. It is the most important for me. Take care of you. Regards Fabrice

La maison est comme sur les photos : Spacieuse avec plein d'espaces differents. Une piscine et une vue a couper le souffle. Tres bien decorée. Beautiful stylish villa

Villa Gajah is a very stylish villa, quiet, with a 15m infinity pool looking over rice fields. The first impression is one of wonder and luxuriousness. Rooms are generous and clean. The staff, Wayan and Suri, are very friendly and helpful and cook a beautiful fresh breakfast. It is only a short distance away from Ubud center and Wayan was always happy to drop us off when we wanted to shopping. There is a pathway from the villa where you can walk to Ubud [we heard as we did not get to the end] through the rice fields where you encounter several workshops of local artists. We had a great time and would love to come back.

Great stay!

We had a great stay here. Rural and countryside kind of place and beautiful settling. Clean and neat. Wayan the housekeeper is excellent. It is important to note that the transport does not go straight up to the villa. We have to walk 7-8 minutes in and out before you reach the villa and after you get off the car/ taxi. We had young children and elderly parents with us so it was not convenient needing to walk every time we wanted to step out. At night there are no streetlights. But overall great otherwise.

Thank you for your review, but why do you give us just 3 stars if you had a great stay at the villa ????????? Every guest knows that the road is at 180 meters from the villa (it is the same in many hotels from the front desk to the room) ..... and we give this information in the description of the villa... This evaluation is not plaisant for us, but the most important is you enjoyed your stay in the Villa Gajah.

Une très belle villa avec une vue magique

La villa est telle que décrite sur le site. La vue est époustouflante, la villa très agréable, la piscine vraiment top. Wayan et Suri sont adorables et toujours près à rendre service que ce soit pour la maison ou pour nous aider à organiser des visites ou sorties. Ubud est à 45mn à pieds par les rizieres ou wayan peut nous y emmener en voiture (10mn).

A wonderful venue for our family get together

We stayed at Villa Gajah for a family get together. Our party was comprised of 2 grandparents, 4 adults and 2 young children. We would all return to Villa Gajah in a heartbeat. The villa is spacious and the view is stunning. We were slightly concerned when walking from the car to the villa, but our fears were allayed on arrival. The approaching walk is not indicative of the villa. The bedrooms were comfortably air-conditioned and the ceiling fans adequate in the living areas. The best features of this villa are the beautiful pool, the view and the staff, Wayan and Suri. Wayan was available to drive and pick us up from Ubud. He would always liaise with us regarding our daily plans. He kindly provided the necessary sarongs etc. so that we could attend the ceremony at the local temple, he organised takeaway meals, massages, scooter bookings and any other arrangements we required. Wayan and Suri provided us with delicious breakfasts. Their hospitality was both welcoming and accommodating. Our only difficulty with this property was our inability to block access to the pool and fishpond when we had very young non-swimmers with us. It was imperative that we were constantly vigilant regarding the safety of the two young children. This is an important consideration if your circumstances are similar. We believed, from the photos available on the website, that we would be able to prevent their access to the pool. Overall, a fantastic venue that we would thoroughly recommend to anyone considering this villa.

A beautiful home away from home

The house was beautiful. Lots of space for the 7 of us (4 adults and 3 kids). The property was clean and well cared for. The view from the infinity pool was stunning. Nice running trail through the rice terraces right outside the doors. All the breakfast options were delicious...especially Wayan's world famous omelette. Thank you Wayan and Suri we all had a fantastic time!

Superb relaxing location

This lovely villa is located just outside of UBUD. Overlooking terraced rice fields. Breakfast is provided with a variety of fruits and choice of omelette or pancakes. I tried both and personally preferred the omelettes. There are restaurants nearby so dinner could be ordered in or going out was also an option. There is a good hiking path just outside the Villa. The dining area is open air and two of my travel companions would prefer doors or screened in area especially for the evening. Transportation to and from UBUD was always available and Day excursions, as was a transfer (for a fee) to our next location almost 2 hours away. I would recommend shopping for snacks prior to your stay. So that you may enjoy more time at the lovely Villa and surrounding area.

Wayan and his wife were excellent, we took advantage of the ride to and from Ubud almost daily but sometimes walked the 45 minutes to Ubud thru the rice fields. One of us rented a motor bike for several days which was great fun. My granddaughter needed a photo for school, Wayan found a professional photographer who lives nearby and arranged for a photo session. The photographer spent over an hour and took over 600 photos, mostly of my 18 yo granddaughter but also many family photos. The cost was extremely reasonable. I would return to Villa Gajah in a heartbeat.

Villa de charme au milieu des rizières

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié notre séjour à la villa Gajah. Calme, authenticité, proche d Ubud accessible à pied à travers les rizières. Très confortable et décorée avec goût. Suri et Hawan adorables et attachants. Je recommande vivement
