When we arrived to resort, the check in process was simple with the office staff.
However, there was no unit number for us to find our condo..finally found by checking our key on each unit door.
Upon walking into unit, the floors were covered in hair, a huge pile of dirty clothes/towels in the hallway, food crumbs all over the counter and rug, butt cheek prints along with other residue on glass kitchen table, no trash can, and the bed was broken. It was apparent no one had been to clean since the unit was last rented.
Contacted owner, who refused a full refund in order for us to find a different unit. Offered to book a room at Hilton for the night but never made the move to attempt to actually book the room( which we knew was already booked and was on north Bimini…we were with a group by boat in south Bimini). We had to make our own backup reservation for that night’s stay at our own expense.
Owner continued to refuse to refund the entire stay. Owner had someone come clean the next day, in which somewhat helped the appearance/cleanliness; however, the room was still poorly cleaned/no trash can/broken bed.
After returning home, the owner sent a refund for only one night’s stay without including taxes/fees for that night. No other compensation was awarded.
