Hoch auf einem Hügel in der privaten, geschlossenen Wohnanlage von Rams Hill bietet Ihnen unser 300 m² großes Custom Home einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die umliegenden Berge und den Wüstenboden des Anza-Borrego State Park. Treten Sie ein und eine hoch aufragende Holzbalkendecke begrüßt Sie in einem offenen Wohn- und Essbereich, der durchgehend ein beruhigendes Dekor aufweist und die Gelassenheit der Wüste widerspiegelt. Durch eine lange Reihe von Glasschiebetüren blicken Sie auf einen riesigen türkisfarbenen Pool mit großem Wellnessbereich und einer geräumigen Terrasse, der Sie einlädt, sich draußen zu entspannen und die atemberaubende Aussicht zu genießen - Tag und Nacht.

Borrego Springs ist die einzige offiziell anerkannte „Dark Sky Community“ in ganz Kalifornien. Alles auf einer Ebene, unser Haus bietet bequem Platz für 6 Personen, mit drei geräumigen Schlafzimmern und 3 1/2 Badezimmern (2 davon en suite). Die Küche ist sehr groß und gut ausgestattet und bietet einen formelleren Speisesaal und eine Durchgangsbar sowie einen Essbereich in ungezwungener Atmosphäre. Ein Gaskamin aus Naturstein steht bereit, um die Kälte eines kühlen Abends abzuwehren. Die Waschküche verfügt über eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner in voller Größe. In der Garage finden zwei Autos Platz. (Hinweis: Alle Autos müssen entweder in der Garage oder in der Auffahrt geparkt werden. In Rams Hill ist das Parken auf der Straße nicht gestattet.) Unser Haus ist komplett ummauert und eingezäunt, mit einigen Rasenflächen, was es für einen pelzigen Gast geeignet macht!*
Sie sind nur eine kurze Autofahrt von all dem entfernt, was der Anza-Borrego State Park und die bezaubernde Stadt Borrego Springs zu bieten haben, aber Sie haben auch die Annehmlichkeiten von Ram's Hill zur Verfügung. Vom preisgekrönten Tom Fazio Golfplatz und dem wunderschönen Clubhaus Restaurant (bitte kontaktieren Sie den Pro Shop für Greenfees und Startzeiten; beachten Sie, dass der Golfplatz und das Clubhaus vom 1. We were looking for a relaxing, comfortable location that would allow for play time (hiking, tennis, pool) and down time (taking a nap in the shade, stargazing). We also enjoy cooking together and brought all our food with us. This home ticked all the boxes and was exactly what I had imagined. I've never seen such a well-stocked kitchen for a rental. We had delicious meals! We knew the pool wasn't heated, but had hoped the 88 degree weather would make it cool, but it was just a little too cold. Had it been heated, I wouldn't want to leave! Pam and Ted were so gracious and responsive. It's rare when you plan out a vacation and it surpasses your expectations, but this was one of those vacations! We'll be back!!! (bonus points - tennis court was very well maintained and was available each day!)

Ram's Hill House with a pool and a view

The rental was just as advertised. The house was spacious and clean. Once the AC caught up it was perfectly cool. The pool was great, and exactly what one needs in summer. While there are a few houses around, this property really feels secluded. Communication with the host was clear and virtually instant. Can't wait to return in the future!

Always a pleasure!

We stay here about once a year, and every time is even better than the time before. The property is lovely and we are always seeing love and little improvements each time we stay. We are well aware of what mid-Summer in Borrego feels like and what to expect (Heat! Conserve water! Wear shoes by the pool or you’ll hurt your feeties!) and we love it. This house is stylish, cool, extremely comfortable and homey, and I am never as relaxed as I am when I’m here. The view, the stars, the pool, the kitchen, the town, the wind in the palm trees, the quiet, and even the new coffee shop down the street at Casa Del Zorro make this a trip we look forward to all year long. The owners are especially kind and responsive.

Relaxation in the desert!

My sister and I had been wanting to check out the art sculptures in Borrego Springs for a while, and this house was the perfect place to stay for a few days. The house was exactly as described, and the yard is perfection! The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals, and it was so nice eating dinner outside each night. We felt very safe, and it was a quick drive into town to get supplies. We would definitely stay here again!

Home away from home

We love this property. We have enjoyed several extended stays at this comfortable home and look forward to returning next year. The furniture is practical and cozy. The house is well appointed and has everything we need. Ted and Pam are very responsive if we have any questions or if any maintenance issues arise. What a great retreat!

Perfect Weekend in April

We made last minute plans for a weekend getaway with our family (Total - 6 of us) and dogs to drive to Rams Retreat @ Rams Hill. This was our second time staying at this residence and enjoyed every minute !!! The hosts are amazing and readily available if we needed anything, which we didn't; as the house and property are gorgeous and fully equipped with anything and everything we would need. We loved the pool & pool toys, jacuzzi, and bbq'd every night. The house was very clean, comfortable beds, with plenty of towels, for bath & pool. Kitchen has more than enough utensils, pots & pans, and drinkware. Could not ask for anything better !!! Love Rams Retreat. We already booked another stay and are definitely excited to return for another memorable family trip. Perfect location, gorgeous property and excellent stay !!!

Perfect getaway

This was our third stay at this house, this time for over six weeks. We absolutely love it here. Rams Hill is peaceful and quiet and the views from this house are breathtaking, regardless of the weather. There are many fantastic places to walk and hike in and around Rams Hill. Borrego Springs is about a 15 minute drive, if you are looking for basic shopping and restaurants. The house is set up so that the back yard is very private while still having spectacular views. The interior is spacious, comfortable and easy to live in. Several large sliding glass doors allow the lovely fresh desert air to flow through the house. The beds are comfortable, as is the other furniture. We cooked most of our meals and this house has a very well equipped kitchen. The back yard is beautiful with plenty of comfy seating and several tables. We ate almost every breakfast and lunch and a few dinners outside. The grounds, pool and hot tub were kept very tidy by weekly maintenance crews. We enjoyed star gazing in the hot tub almost every night. The smaller front yard is also very pretty, private and well tended. The house has a cozy gas fireplace which we used on several chilly evenings. We travel with two Cardigan corgis and they are in heaven at this house, constantly exploring the very secure front and back yards, chasing little lizards from bush to bush. Ted and Pam are the best hosts! They are extremely responsive when we have a question or if something needs attention or repair.

We love the drive from San Diego through the back country and over the mountains before descending to the breathtaking views of the desert and finally the peace and serenity of Borrego Springs. Cares just drift away as we make that drive.
There is something magical, almost spiritual, about Borrego Springs that touches my soul. I'm not sure if it's the quality of the light, deep blue of the sky, shadows of the clouds on the mountains, the way the view changes throughout the day or the mind-bending views of the heavens at night. People come here for many different reasons. To escape winter and/or hectic lives elsewhere, enjoy the warm sunshine and desert bloom, hike, play golf or tennis, and, of course, for the phenomenal star-gazing.
We are enthusiastic new owners of this very special Ram's Hill home from which one is able to do all these things--or simply sit by the pool marveling over the views and reading a good book! We look forward to enjoying it ourselves for many years to come and sharing this special retreat with you, our guests.
