Great memories

Fallen Oak is a great place to make memories for your family, if you’re looking for a quiet and warm family vacation. I spend 4 nights 5 days vacation with my entire family of 6 adults and 3 grandchildren to celebrate my birthday here. We enjoy hiking trails & beaches and the famous Monterey Aquarium. The best vacation ever. We’ll be back!!!

End of summer getaway

We had a nice relaxing stay. It was nice to get away with our teens prior to school starting. Aquarium was fun and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk was a hit! I loved all the local seafood and the local fruit and produce! House was great, just as described.

Inside the gates at Pebble Beach

Myself and three friends were in town for the Pebble Beach concours. There were four of us, and the four bedrooms worked out perfectly. The inside of the house is in very nice condition, coffee was provided, in the house was very clean. Plenty of extra towels in the linen closet. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

Nice House, Great Location

The house was very pleasant. The king bed in the master bedroom was quite hard, but we adapted. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, etc. The house is located very close to the many trails winding through the Del Monte forest, which for our group was a big plus.

We have found that mattress firmness is a very individual preference (the previous guest thought the mattress was too soft!). In any case, we are always happy to provide a foam topper for those who desire a softer mattress. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our 24/7 maintenance team for anything that will make your stay more comfortable!

Well appointed home and great location!

We really enjoyed the house, which was very clean. The Primary bedroom, where we stayed, has a comfortable King bed and good linens. The kitchen is quite well equipped, including utensils, pots and pans, etc. The furniture in the living room was comfortable. I mention it, because that is not always the case with rentals. We did enjoy the fireplace for a bit in the evenings when it was cooler. It was generally quiet, and no traffic noise. The location is stellar. 5 minutes from Poppy Hills Golf course and restaurant, close to the Pebble Beach Resort and Lodge, and easy distance to downtown Carmel. Be sure to have your name on the list to get in and out of the gates, as you will pay otherwise to enter the Pebble Beach area. Monterey rentals takes care of that. All in all, a great stay!

Worked really well for our family.

Roomy, comfortable. Well equipped kitchen- only missing a strawberry huller, LOL. Really nice - and simple to use the fireplace.Initially, our name/unit was not at the guard house which wanted 12 for the 17 mile drive experience.Had difficulty with one thermostat. The ironing board cover was old and stained and I was concerned ironing white clothing

Since your visit, we've replaced the ironing board cover with a brand-new one and double-checked the thermostats to ensure they’re working properly. Five Stars!!

My company was working an event at the raceway, and rather than staying at a hotel we opted to rent a house. Fallen Oak was a great choice and I would recommend it. The house is beautifully designed (the main feature is the large living/dining/kitchen great room), it's in a stunning and quiet location without sacrificing easy access to Carmel and Monterey, and the whole process of renting and checking in/out was smooth and easy.

Lovely, Spacious Home

We are a family of four and we stayed at this home with my sister’s family of three. It was spacious and perfect for all seven of us. One bedroom, bathroom and sitting area is a bit separated from the rest of the house which is a great option for an arrangement like ours — it sort of makes for two master bedrooms. We cooked a couple of dinners at home and found the kitchen had space for several adults to lend a hand. The photos don’t do justice to the nice views of lovely trees around the yard. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet, though very dark at night with no sidewalks. We needed to contact the property manager Kyle a couple of times and he was very responsive. If I could make a suggestion: if I owned this home I would buy a set of beach towels. Overall we had a wonderful time and would love to stay here again.

Wish we would have known....

The house itself was nice enough; very clean. As the grandparents, it was nice to have our own "wing" with my daughter and her family grouped together in the 3 bedrooms at the opposite end of the house. We did, however, have issues every time we passed thru the gates into Pebble Beach. We were told that we needed to have the property managers call and clear us, which we did. Four times. The security at the gate said they "never did probably because STR's (short term rentals) are illegal in P.B.". Regardless, it limited our comings and goings so as not to have to deal with it. We like to play by the rules and would not have rented it had we known we were not in a licensed rental.

This property is a licensed vacation rental (County of Monterey Transient Occupancy Registration Certificate #002013). We are very sorry you encountered a gate guard who made your stay less than 100% enjoyable. Our office clears our guests with the Pebble Beach gates prior to arrival, and we called again when we learned of your problem. All the properties we manage are legally rented at all times, so we are at a loss to explain why this guard was so difficult (and misinformed). In our 35 years of managing Pebble Beach properties, this is a rare occurrence. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the home otherwise.

House was inside the Pebble neighborhood!

This house was perfect for our large family! With 4 full bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms AND a pullout couch, everyone had their own space. We loved the large open concept kitchen/dining/living space. We were here for a golf tournament…didn’t realize the house was inside the Pebble Beach neighborhood! It’s just a few minutes drive to the course. Everything was nice, new and clean. No complaints at all. We had an issue with the smoke alarm going off one night and the maintenance man came immediately the next day to tend to it. Very satisfied.

Beautiful clean property with lots of amenities. Had everything we needed. Great stay there and would definitely stay again and recommend to others! Close to Monterey,Carmel, Pacific Grove and in heart of Pebble Beach. Visit Lovers Point and Asilomar as well! Plenty to do and see!!
