Comfortable condo with a beautiful view

Nice size for the 2 of us. Enjoyed the balcony and view. Easy check-in and parking. Huge refrigerator. Tips: Happy Hour at the top floor (Empire) restaurant & the Friday night music are both worth checking out.

Great location and responsive customer service

We had a wonderful time at the Ilikai and will be back! Customer service through Captain Cook Hotel group was very responsive and the unit was cozy with a nice marina and sunset view!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The reservation, communications with property managers, logistics were all amazing. Very smooth, very well managed, responsive, helpful, and nice. Truly couldn't ask for more. The room itself is a nice size, party of two had plenty of room and not climbing over each other to get around. The furnishings are fine, they are showing some age (carpet, sofa pillows), we noticed but it wasn't bothersome.We really loved being able to walk to Ala Moana (mall) and other parts of Waikiki from the Ilikai.

Great Views & Parking a Bonus

The property is in a great location - easy in and out. It is very clean and comfortable for 4 adults. The underground parking made things pretty convenient. All in all we had a great stay at a great property. We would definitely come back.

Amazing view and everything you need is within this hotel. It has its own market, ice cream parlor, shops etc. or walkable to ABC stores and eateries. Beach is frontal. Easy walk to Ala Moana mall, park, Marina and Waikiki. The hotel is very nice and lounging areas are very comfy. Pool, and a restaurant on the top floor with amazing views! This unit could use a few kitchen screw tightenings and eating sets that match, but that was not important as everything worked well.

Incredible Communication, Perfect Location and View

I travel for business 2 weeks per month to Oahu and usually look to stay near Ilikai. The building has everything you need with a small grocery store, great coffee shop, ice cream parlor, poke restaurant and Cinnamons restaurant. The sunset views are perfect and you are steps from the beach. The unit is a little dated but super clean and very comfortable.

Family vacation!

We can’t even begin to explain how perfect this location was for us!!! The communication from the host was amazing, the location was amazing!! The location was exactly what we were looking for, close to everything and so much to do! The condo was well stocked, clean and comfortable. This was our first family vacation with our 3 year old. She loved the shallow pool and we couldn’t keep her out of it! You and your family will have no complaints when enjoying this property! Can’t wait to go again!!! Thanks for helping us make wonderful memories!!!

Relaxing, Quiet, excellent view

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This 20th story condo was just what I was looking for! Had beach chairs and umbrella we used on the beach below. Has snorkel equipment so we didn’t even have to rent gear to snorkel! I loved sitting in the balcony watching the ocean, harbor, birds, clouds... and even rainbows a few times. Bed was comfy, kitchen had everything I needed, bathroom was decent sized, even has a bidet toilet. Water pressure was good, got hot water fast. I would definitely stay here again! I loved that it came with its own reserved parking spot!

Beautiful View with Everything You Need

We very much enjoyed our stay at this condo and could not get enough of the beautiful view. Enjoyed sunsets on the balcony. The kitchen could be better organized but it had all of the basics. The bed was comfortable and the balcony had all the supplies you might want for the beach. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t the best and the handle was definitely dated but it was sufficient for our stay. AC worked very well. All in all, a great place to stay, but they could do a few minor upgrades to the bathroom and kitchen and make it an even better place.

Accessible and Easy access to EVERYTHING you could possibly want to do!

The Ilikai, did NOT over promise and under deliver and this view and condo is worth a MILLION DOLLARS! The sunsets and sunrises made our vacation worth it! The Ilikai is an older condo, are there newer condos with more eventful experiences and shopping? The answer is YES? There is no point denying that, but the close proximity to the ocean, selection of activities and things to do for fun, availability of restaurants to choose from, the easiness of walking, EVERYTHING was GREAT! Paul kept in communication with anything that we needed, the condo was fully stocked with basic supplies, as a matter of fact, honestly if it's just a couple, we really didn't need to go to purchase basic supplies such a toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, etc, we did because we thought we needed to, but we left all of those items. We recommend booking this great condo, you won't be disappointed.

One of our best vacation rentals EVER!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great place with excellent View... easy to rent and very accommodating management. Two things about the condo that were not issues but a bit of an annoyance for our Three week stay. 1 there was no dresser or storage that accommodated all our cloths for that length of stay. 2 ... the sliding wheels on the door to the lanai were worn out and opening the door was a two person job whenever we went out to enjoy the beautiful view. These to inconveniences were not an issue for us and our overall enjoyment of the facility but we feel that in a review it may be an issue for others looking at this rental. Overall we can not say enough good things about the property or the accommodating management. We travel to Hawaii twice a year and will definitely be reserving this property from now on when we travel there if it is available.

Great Location and view

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location and view and from there it goes downhill. Condo #2029 pictures are not representative of what shape the condo is in. Walls are scuffed and in need of paint. Carpet is worn and has holes. Bed pillows are of low quality and stained. Kitchen sinks grout needs attention. Electric stove needs a deep cleaning especially the burner drip pans. The most disgusting was the air vent above the stove. It was caked with grime and accumulated dirt/dust. No fire extingusher and there needs to be a posted placard for emergency exit route on entry door. Entry door needs adjustment as it sticks when trying to open. I'm 6'1 in good shape and it was hard for me to open. Bathroom was clean and shower was good. Bed was comfortable.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit is in a great location and you have beautiful views of the sunset right from the lanai. On Friday nights, you can hear/see the hula dancer from the illikai courtyard and you can watch the surfers early morning. That is all excellent. The free parking stall is always a bonus with captain cook. This unit needs some attention and investment. The bed is terrible. Pillows are awful (we went and bought our own). There are two outdoor chairs that are falling apart. There is a table and two chairs set that are new and work well. The beach chairs are rusting. The kitchen is has chipped bowls, glasses and is not that well stocked. We’ve stayed in other units where there is at least a small selection of spices, etc. There is a small 6 drawer unit for clothes but it is very small. It would be used for shoes more than anything. There is a closet but it’s half full of cleaning things. I don’t know hour four people would manage. The lanai was dirty and we washed it ourselves. There needs to be some attention/investment into this unit. It’s well overdue.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our THIRD Captain Cook Ilikai rental, and it would rate #3! Jean, the property manager, was friendly, quick to respond and made check-in a great experience. We needed an extra pillowcase, and he sent one over right away. This unit, while a bit smaller than our other two at the Ilikai, had the best few and easiest access, located not far from the elevator. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. The condo itself has virtually no storage for clothes, and the very small closet was half-full with a vacuum and more. The kitchen was poorly appointed in relation to most condos we have rented. We wanted to cook, but there were only 3 skillets and no other pot or pan of any kind. The oven handle was broken off, with two jagged pieces of plastic sticking out where the brackets had been, and one burner on the stove did not work. Dishes were adequate for two, but mismatched. The leg on the desk chair was so loose it would have broken off if we tried to sit in it. The carpet was vacuumed, but there are multiple spots that clearly showed it had not been cleaned in quite awhile. We wanted to clean the bathroom and the bird droppings from the deck, but there were no cleaners of any kind. The Good: great view, included parking and location. The bad: poorly appointed and badly in need of maintenance and kitchen supplies. Love Captain Cook, but would definitely select another unit next time. NOT RECOMMENDED IN ITS CURRENT CONDITION.
