Cindy and Robert are great hosts - very friendly, attentive and quick and easy to communicate with. We had a wonderful stay at the Yellow Cottage. It is very family friendly with plenty of amenities, quiet atmosphere, and many games/options to do with short distance to downtown Brevard, Pisgah and Dupont. Would definitely stay here again.

A Little Slice of Paradise

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Grande. The property is absolutely beautiful with a lot to see and do. The kids and adults loved the open gym space, as well as the pool table, ping-pong table, air hockey table and foosball. I would absolutely stat here again.

Check in and check out were very easy. This is a large space that is well suited for group who have children who enjoy basketball and pingpong and other table games. There is lots of outside space to roam. We spent our days hiking in the surrounding area and then rested at home in the evenings. The kitchen had what we needed for home cooking and the trip to Brevard for groceries was 10 minutes or less.

Very unique stay.

I don't think you'll find a place quite like this. It's like a big game room with 3 comfortable private bedrooms off to the side. Very ample kitchen. Great for big groups of people. We had a family reunion there with all age groups and everyone loved it. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Family Fun

Definitely a great place to stay with large families with kids. Plenty to do and enjoy, with nice surroundings throughout the compound. The basketball court was definitely one of the hi-lights as games were played throughout the evenings. Nice to enjoy the hot tub after a long day of hiking and exploring the surrounding area as well. Other than a few cleanliness issues (main couch could use a good cleaning, some mold in the a/c, and some rodent and ants visits), I would still recommend overall for anybody (especially with kids) that would enjoy a fantastic stay with incredible and wide variety amenities for everyone.

Appreciate the feedback and concerns are taken seriously. If a group is coming for a 7,000 sf barnadamium style experience engulfed in nature, then this is a good choice. As noted in many of the reviews, despite the size and the amount of things going on, the place is exceptionally clean. Due to the size and amount of time it takes to clean we apologize if something is not acceptable, the time to say something is when you are on premises..: above are quick and easy fixes that come with the “rustic mountain experiemce”… especially when one of the 7 doors is left open and nature creeps in. Thank you for staying with us.

Family Fun & Comfort in the Heart of Brevard

We stayed at this fantastic home in Brevard the week of June 23rd and had a wonderful experience. It was perfect for our family of five—and could have easily fit more! The indoor basketball court was the kids’ favorite feature, with the pool table coming in a close second. We enjoyed movie nights with plenty of comfy seating, and the industrial-style touches like exit signs and paper towel dispensers added a fun, unique vibe. The hot tub was spotless and relaxing, and the kitchen was well-stocked for cooking and grilling. We loved eating out on the porch and appreciated having a washer and dryer to keep things easy. The property is beautiful, with a pond across the street that our dogs loved exploring. A short walk took us to a park with an in-ground trampoline—another big hit with the kids! The location was ideal—close to Brevard, Rosman, and lots of waterfalls. We went horseback riding, tubing, and even slid down a waterfall. Great breweries nearby, too!Highly recommend this home for families looking for fun, comfort, and adventure.

Wow! Amazing place for a large group of friends!

A large group travel to Brevard every October for a week of mnt biking and we finally found the perfect place. 3 individual bedrooms with bunk beds in the loft along with plenty of couches. Indoor basketball court, portable boom obx, pingpong, foosball, couches on wheels. Its truly a party place. Great kitchen amenities and long table for group dinners. If you have a family get together or a group wanting to mnt bike, this is your go to place. Plenty of parking too. Minutes from Brevard, yet in a quiet neighborhood. We will definitely rent this place every year moving forward!

While our ages ranged from a one yr old to two in their 70's, it was a wonderful experience for us all. While I am certain that the surrounding area would have been nice, not a member of my family (including toddlers, elementary school age, junior high and high school, adults in their 30's and 40's, a couple in their 70's) wanted to leave the Casa Grande. There was something for everyone. The place gets 👍👍👍👍👍 from every member of our family.

The best place to stay for families!

We stayed here on a family trip after Christmas and it was perfect for us! We had very little people to 70+ year olds. Everyone was entertained with the indoor gym, pool and ping pong tables, hot tubs, and fire pit. The bedrooms were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the grill was very adequate. We also rented the Pure Vida Cottage next door and it was so nice. I accidentally posted the review for the big house on the Pure Vida Cottage reviews. Sorry if this causes confusion. If you need more bedrooms, add cottages. This is beautiful property with caring, communicative owners.

Great for kids

We had a great time at this property. We had 3 families with kids. They had a blast playing basketball, ping pong, riding scooters indoors, hide and seek, etc. Close proximity to DuPont where we went to triple falls and falls lake. We also drove blue Ridge Parkway to art loeb trail, black balsam I think it was called. Gorgeous. You will be very close to town for food or whatever you need. Some things I wasn’t sure of that might be helpful to others. There is no stove or oven. We used the grill. We covered it in foil though, seems to be older. They provided a bag of ice for us all ready when arriving. Each room has coffee maker that takes loose coffee and the kitchen has a Keurig. Full size fridge in kitchen. Mini fridges in rooms. The bathrooms are off the main area near kitchen, so opposite side of the house to the bedrooms. They were stocked for us, even shampoo and soap. For some reason I thought we had a fire pit but we didn’t. The property next door did. This is the big building next to the 3 stall garage. I was confused where to go at first when entering the property as there are 3 yellow houses and a garage all in that same area. We didn’t have a book explaining how to use anything but the owner came over the first day to check on us and showed us how to use the laptop with projector. We enjoyed watching movies in the evening on the giant screen. The beds are very comfortable. Each room has its own air conditioning unit. We didn’t try to open any windows so not sure if they open. One recommendation for the owner would be curtains for the glass on the bedroom doors. Everyone really enjoyed this unique property with all the fun things for kids.

Thanks for the great review and all the kind words... We love the feedback and look at it as an opportunity to improve. All of our units are brand new and we are still working thru some unforeseen challenges. For clarification (to those reading review) there are 2 grills on the front porch... the grill next to the one you used is brand new... left the old one for keeping stuff warm (as requested by previous guests). Sounds like we should remove the old one to avoid confusion. Also, there is a 2 eye cooktop in the kitchen... in addition, we put a brand new full set of pots, pans, cooking utensils,etc... the works. We already have plans to put a full size range and upgrading the kitchen. The original idea was a man cave kitchen (as requested by the mtn. Bike crowd), but casa grande has turned out to be very popular for big family vacations, reunions, etc. So gourmet kitchen should be in by july 4th. Keurig and micros in the bedrooms (studios). There was an assortment of k-cups next to the s'more kit and toiletry kit we leave for each room. Although, there is an ice maker in kitchen refrigerator... seems like the ice goes fast with all the day trips. Tip for future travels: if you go to the local Triangle stop, with any purchase you can fill your cooler with ice. A book is a great idea for when you are in casa grande, but we tried that and just confused people more, hence the personal "drop in" to walk thru for instructions. There is so much going on just easier to do the walk thru... and each guest seems to have a different set of questions. As far as getting on the property and instructions as to how to get to your unit and where to park... that is included in the extensive welcome email and text you should have received. We find most people navigate by the photo on the website. Email also includes the basics on where to eat, where to shop, and where to go. We tried directions, but just found it easier for people to use a navigator. Firepit, hot tub, and outdoor shower are all in the works and will start appearing in the next couple weeks. For the meantime, travelers are welcome to use firepit at the pond (in the gazebo). Also, not sure if you used the new laundry room... was a big request and a big hit since recently introduced. Great week with family

This home is perfect for meeting up with friends and spending time together. We had 6 kids between the two families from 2-11 and they absolutely loved it. The basketball court and pool table were the favorites, but there is also a loft with foosball, ping pong, and some games. Our family did not use the hot tub but it looked clean and warm. Only a few minutes out of Brevard and about 15 minutes from two different national forest, it makes an awesome spot to launch adventures. We loved our week here and would stay again if we ever make our way back to Brevard.

Family trip during a snow(storm)

We mostly enjoyed our time at the Casa Grande. The space heaters were enough to keep us warm even with the snowy conditions. There were games, toys, tvs and comfortable beds. The hot tub never worked for us which was a big bummer since it is in the title of the place. They did offer us use of another one that we drove to, then hiked through knee deep snow to get to; but it wasn't conducive to hauling kids up there and out into the snow after being wet, so we only tried that once. The ladder to the game room is quite steep, and the slide a bit precarious so anyone under 5 should probably be under close supervision. The kids loved the gym in the middle of the space and the kitchen had everything we needed. Cindy brought us salt when we requested some for cooking, and they also brought rugs to keep the snow melt from seeping onto the gym floor. We appreciate those efforts.

Apologies for the hot tub... we deep clean between every guest and somehow the hot tub got an electronic error. We did reset error code (once it was brought to our attention), but the hot tub did not warm up in time for them to use it. Everyone does love a hot tub, especially when you get a foot of snow. Fortunately, we do have 4 hot tubs so we were able to offer another one, but as noted, taking the kids there in their swim suits probably was not a prudent plan. We do our best to accommodate our guests, but we do advise parental supervision (especially in an unfamiliar environment with lots going on)... even on vacation you need to keep an eye on the kids. Thanks for all the great compliments on how much there is to do inside (if you do not want to go out and play in the snow).

My teenagers couldn’t stop

Incredible stay! We had 4 teenagers, 4 adults, and 2 grandparents and EVERYONE loved it! The teenagers kept thanking us over and over! Unheard of! They loved playing basketball, air hockey, foosball, and of course sliding down the indoor slide! And watching a movie on the screen size of an actual movie theater was insane and amazing! It was a little difficult to get them to leave the house each day, however the surrounding area had so much to offer! We were so close to the national forest that we would hike every day, enjoy the stores and shops in Brevard and Asheville, and then come back to the most fun, relaxing, and comfortable place to stay ever! Perfect place for three or four families who want to have fun together, and yet want to have their own space. Each bedroom has its own mini fridge, storage, and TV. When you are feeling more social, the house kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans and everything you need for a family dinner and is a great place to gather together! If you have small children, no problem, just bring a baby gate to put at the bottom of the loft stairs. Overall, we loved it, and we will be returning again soon! Our children are demanding it!

Great place to stay! So much fun

Casa Grande was a great place to stay. It was quiet and very clean. Plenty of things to do without leaving the “Casa.” Basketball court, pool table, air hockey and a hot tub! I would definitely recommend this place. Close to everything too.

Amaaaazing!!

Special family holiday, couldn't have been a better fit for our family. So much to do, all inside the house! Perfect for for all the ages in our party, little ones to grandparents. The property was beautiful and accessible for peaceful sitting and children playing. Hosts were attentive. This place was better than the pictures and description; don't hesitate to rent, your group will have a great time!! We will be back!
