The homeowner has done a great job of renovating an old house with modern upgrades. The decor is nice, and the couches are comfortable for lounging. Everything was sparkling clean.
We had to contact the owner for check-in instructions. We arrived after dark, and the property was pitch dark. The parking instructions were wrong; the carport is on the right, not the left. But we couldn't even see it, let alone the sign to look for. It was very hard to open the lock box with no porch light. Inside, we had to stumble around the house searching for lamps.
The TV only has a few local channels, so we couldn't watch our favorite shows. However, the Wi-Fi connected easily and worked great.
The kitchen is well-stocked, but there was no coffee.
We chose to sleep in the back bedroom so we wouldn't hear the barking dogs so much. But a train went by the back of the house twice during the night, blaring its horn.
We never heard from the homeowner again to find out how we were doing or offer any help. We're the kind of people who figure things out for ourselves, so we simply went on our way the next morning before the sun was up.
