This condo was a ground-floor dream. From the lanai, it's a few steps on the grass to the edge of the water. We spent a lot of time on the lawn and nearby beach, it was pretty quiet and we saw very few other guests. The ones we did interact with were friendly. The condo included everything I needed to make the most of my stay, including beach chairs, beach towels, and a floatie tube. Additionally, the condo location was great, a quick walk from a great cafe, a public beach, and shops nearby. There is a window AC unit, although the cross wind breeze when all windows were open, with the waves crashing in the distance, was truly peaceful and pure bliss. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with. The only downside is that this condo is a true ground-floor unit and is directly in front of the ocean, which means it could use some updating in a few areas.

Fantastic!

Great condo, very clean, everything we needed was provided (including chairs/parasol for the beach), excellent location, wonderful views of the ocean and we enjoyed the sunsets from the lanai. We really enjoyed our stay at this property and would definitely return again.

Beautiful sunsets in Honokowai

Super clean, well appointed, ground floor unit with unobstructed ocean views perfect for sunsetting with your loved ones! We loved it. The listing just needed a few updates about the number of tv’s and the status of the pool (which was not open during our stay). I messaged the manager and they were very understanding and did their absolute best to make us happy. Would definitely go again!

Near Perfection

I stayed year with a family of 4 and had a great time. This patio is within steps of the ocean and that is priceless, something you'll get used to very very quickly. The condo itself was spacious enough for my wife and my two younger children, there was a generous portion of dishwasher and washer pods (not that we used it all that much) and kitchen was fully equipped with all utensils one would generally need. It never got real hot for us and we were more than comfortable with the breeze and the ceiling fans and the occasional use of the window AC. Overall, you can tell the property is being cared for and has been updated along the years; however, a bathroom update would definitely complete it. The only annoyance we had was, on two occasions, someone accidentally parking in our assigned spot, one overnight. The property manager however was quick to respond. The surrounding neighborhood is beautiful, walking distance to beaches and local eateries/coffee shops. This is our 4th time in this vicinity and will be returning in a couple months.

Great location; listing details not all correct

This unit is in a great location, right on the ocean, with plenty of sea turtles. However, there is no beach (though listing says there is) - there are only steps down to the water, where one can float around and snorkel. It is quite wavy there, depending on the time of day. There are also no water toys - no noodles or boogie boards (though listing says there are). The floor was dirty when we arrived, as was the shower door, and there were towels in both the washer and dryer. They only provide one each of hotel-tiny cheap shampoo and conditioner, plus tiny, harsh bar of soap, so we had to go shopping our first day there for proper products. Some of it has been improved, but overall, it is dated. Still, it is comfortable overall, and there are good beaches nearby, for a short drive (or long walk).

Loved this property. Close to the ocean with turtles and great sunsets each night. Great location to the bigger beaches. This complex seemed to have many family groups so beware of that in case you are looking for a romantic quiet vacation. The lighting in our condo could have been brighter, especially in the kitchen because we cooked alot, but we had a wonderful time on the lanai each morning and evening eating and watching the sunsets so the lighting inside was only noticed in the evenings after that.. We will book this property again in future stays because we enjoyed it that much.

Property was amazing, great people, everything you need was right there. Location is great, nice markets and beaches close by, got my run in every day and every day was a new experiacne. There is great access to all parts of the west side and they say it is the "best" side for obvious reasons. I was great to not be part of a mega hotel complex. The sunsets and ocean view, sound and sweet smell of the ocean was just what you would hope to experience. I will be back again to his property or anything Herb and Maui Lodging Properties has to offer.
