Wir haben kein WIFI. Toller Blick auf den See. Der Strand ist dieses Jahr klein. Bon feuert an Land. Wasser ist hoch! Big Vorgarten für Volleyball. Wir haben Stühle, Tische, Sonnenschirme und einen Holzstuhl Schaukel. Sie können Fahrrad fahren oder zu Fuß zum nahegelegenen Forester Park fahren, um Eis zu essen oder auf dem Spielplatz zu spielen. Sie müssen in der Nacht Blick auf die Sterne !!! Genießen Sie die Veranda zu beobachten, die Boote zu gehen geschlossen, der Sonne und des Mondes kommen! Auch ein Muss !!! Wir nennen es den "Million Dollar View" !!! Sie werden es lieben Einschlafen, um den Klang der Wellen vor Ihrem Fenster !!!!!! Sie können nicht besser sein können !!! Wenn Sie die Schönheit und den Klängen der Natur lieben, ist dies der Ort für Sie !! Unser Obergeschoss hat keine Isolierung, so dass Sie das Geräusch von Regen genießen können, um einzuschlafen. Selbst die Stürme sind genial, um über den See zu sehen !!! Sie können sogar ein Bild von einer regen Bogen! Nur 7 Meilen bis zum nächsten Krankenhaus und Veterinärmedizin. Eine Meile südlich ist Forester Inn Bar und Grill. Eine Meile nördlich ist Gas, Holz, Pizza und ein kleines Geschäft. Genießen Sie es genauso wie unsere Familie seit 85 Jahren !!!!!

The house was very comfortable and we loved the sun porch. The beach is definitely rocky so if you're a rock hunter like I am it's the perfect spot. Great quite location. Was fun to watch the sailboat race and freighters.

Great beach!

The annual girls trip was another success! The beach was terrific, sunroom was nice, sleeping areas were perfect accommodations for all 6 of us. The kitchen was a little small but we made do. Had a great time!

This was a beautiful cottage on a private beachfront with a breathtaking view of lake Huron.

My husband and I had a quick little relaxing getaway at this beautiful Cottage. It was very clean and well-kept the beach front view of Lake Huron was beautiful. We enjoyed evenings out by the fire pit roasting marshmallows and walking the beach. We can't wait to go back !!!

Beautiful view

Beautiful property highly recommend. The view of Lake Huron was breathtaking. It was quiet very few beach walkers it was like our very own private beach. Quiet neighbors I was a bit concerned with it being 4th of July week. Just wish my husband and I could have enjoyed the property a bit more and not be down with nasty cold and sinus infections and checked out a couple days early but the swing was the perfect place to just rest and enjoy the view.

Nice weekend getaway

We were looking for a waterfront cottage that wasn't too long of a drive from our home. This place was ideal. Perfect location along Lake Huron and a short drive into Port Sanilac for groceries. Beautiful views and a quaint comfortable cabin. Some of the best sleep in a while with the windows open and the calming sound of waves riding up on shore. Really enjoyed our stay !

Last summer getaway

It was our second time staying at this property. We discovered this place last year and it was a perfect getaway. My wife and I love the location and amenities. The cabin is comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. The lake views are spectacular. It’s a bonus that it’s pet friendly and we can bring our kids along ! We definitely plan on coming back.

Beautiful and peaceful

We had such a blessed time here. The owners were very communicative. The property was comfortable and so clean. Although we brought everything we needed we didn’t have too. They were fully stocked with everything you could need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will hopefully return in the future for much needed alone time. BONUS!! The shower was unexpected.Powerful for a cottage shower!! I loved it.

September 2nd - 7th 2024

We had a wonderful stay. Was my husbands first time seeing freighters. We also saw shooting stars and the milky way. Place was very clean and the owners were amazing in responding when messaging them. Stairs down to the beach are 9 so me, being disabled, could not go down them. But the sounds of the waves crashing into shore and the view more than made up for that. We ordered food from the Forester bar down the road. Great food, everything we ordered. Th store north no longer does pizza but the bars was amazing. We hope to be able to come and stay again.

Beautiful!!

We really enjoyed our weekend here. It was extremely clean and comfortable and the views are amazing!! Because it was chilly, we used the heater which made it very comfortable and cozy and it did rain a little but we loved the sound on the roof along with the sounds of the lake outside. Jim answered all my questions very quickly by email and by phone both before and during our stay which was so helpful. Thank you for a great weekend!

Million-dollar view at its best!

Beautiful property with a million-dollar view of the lake. It was only a 2-hour drive which made it incredibly convenient for us. The cabin is lovely with a wonderful blend of vintage with some modern touches. Our Border Collie loved swimming in the lake and even made some new "friends". We went for breakfast each morning at the quaint local diners then spent the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying the view. Evenings were spent with fires blazing in the fire pit while we enjoyed the freighters passing in the distance and the ever-changing skyline. A much-needed relaxing vacation. Communication with the hosts was excellent.

Quiet, relaxing location!

Vintage and rustic cottage with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing family vacation. Although the kitchen is small, it has everything you need. Love the antique utensils hanging on the walls! The views are spectacular! Loved painting rocks with my daughter, very nice touch to the cottage amenities that created perfect memories. Cottage is well stocked with all the necessities. Although the beds are in great shape, I would recommend bringing a topper to make them more comfortable. Definitely not a downfall, just a preference. We really were so pleased with this rental that we are looking at dates next year to book again! Thank you Jim for your outstanding communication prior to and after our trip. We appreciate you sharing your cottage with our family!

Nice getaway!

First of all, Jim was fantastic. Super accommodating and easy to work with. We booked just a couple of days in advance, and he made it very easy. The property is beautiful, and the house is really nice. Rustic enough, but with enough modern touches to it to make it comfortable. The beach was almost gone because the water is so high this year, and that's probably part of the reason the beach was so rocky too. I waded out about 200 feet, but had to waste a pair of shoes to do it, and it was much more sandy. You're pretty close to the neighbors on the one side, and to a small beach used by local public on the other, but sitting on the porch and staring out over the water, you wouldn't know it. If you're looking for a place that's immaculately clean and fancy, this isn't it. If you're looking for a really nice, rustic spot, just feet from Lake Huron, for a good price, you've found your place. P.S. Let me know how long it takes you to find the bathroom. We had a good chuckle about this.

Nice, clean, vintage cottage in isolated area

Nice little cottage in a super quiet area directly on Lake Huron. Large grassy area to sunbathe in, beach is very rocky, little sand. Great for rock-hounding! Luckily, there was only 1 woman and 2 children next door for just one day, so no privacy issues. Enjoyed one day of sunbathing due to crappy weather rest of week. Went shopping in Lexington twice, which was fun. Different stores open both days, which is unusual. My problem was that I went to rest, relax and de-stress, which I did….but I had no idea it was as isolated as it is. I thought that it was reasonably populated with things to do (e.g., more shopping than just Lexington, more restaurant options, etc). Thankfully, there were books and I read a lot of the time. There are a lot of games, which would work for couples or families. I just didn’t know the area well enough (definitely my fault) and the weather was mostly crummy, and you can’t do anything about the weather… I wish the listing warned you that it was in a very remote area with very limited options for food and things to do. And I assumed from the listing that said “Check back three days before you arrive for WiFi access information” that there WAS WiFi. THERE IS NO WIFI. Maybe that could be stipulated somewhere. In all caps. Finally, the front door lock sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t. Yes, there’s another entrance, it’s just a pain. It needs to be replaced. The cottage was good, but I wouldn’t go back to that area again.

Lakefront Loveliness with an Old Time Feel

Romantic weekend for 2. We loved it! It's still a bit chilly in May, 50 degrees, but the privacy is so nice as other vacationers have not arrived to the area yet. We only saw 2 people in 3 days. Adorable wooded interior with oil heater; which I had never seen before and quickly fell in love with this amazing "heat box". Better than our fireplace at home. Well maintained and clean. Perfect closed-in porch facing the lake. Wonderful outside swing. Owner, Jim, is exceptionally nice and was even prepared for a lock out after just 5 minutes. Plenty of yard on both sides of the house and additional deck on street side. Kudos on the solar landscape lighting. There's a firepit on the beach, but we did not utilize as the water was too close to the shoreline. A full time resident stated he had never seen the water so close to the shore before. #globalwarming. We were able to carefully walk along the beach for an enjoyable short distance. Star gazing at night, we were able to easily see Jupiter. The bathroom, which is actually not centrally located in the house, but is accessed through the roadside porch entrance, is not able to be heated by the oil heater in the house, so it was really cold. This would not be a problem once the weather warmed up. My man, who is 6'2" had a hard time in the shower, due to the shower head being shorter than most. We laughed, it was part of the fun of being somewhere different. We enjoyed the food at The Stone Lodge 10 mins down the main road. Be prepared to eat with dead animals on the wall x2. Wish our schedules could have allowed us a longer stay. Thankful only a 2 night minimum, which seems hard to find. Definitely recommend. Bring bathroom towels and soaps, and bedsheets.

Another GREAT stay!

This was our 4th stay at this quaint cottage right on the shore of Lake Huron. The weather cooperated and our vacation was perfect. Plenty of rocks for hunting and sand to dig our toes in. There were games provided but our favorite activity is to paint the flat rocks we found. I can't recommend this place enough. These hosts are the best. Thanks!
