I would note that we are about 5-10 minutes from the village of Cabot, as well as the paved roads (RT 215) but it is always a good idea to check where you want to stay compared to where you plan to visit since Vermont is a small state, but from the south to north border, it can still take several hours :)

Our house is perfect for a couple and while we do have an extra bed, it is an open floor plan. My memory is that you told us that two of you were coming in your reservation but in speaking with you, apparently you were planning to have three extra guests stay, because you were under the mistaken impression that our cabin was larger than it was despite our guest limit of three. This is confusing as we try to be as clear as possible to manage expectations. As for the air conditioning, no - we don't have any and as we are in the higher elevations so this is generally not an issue.

We are happy that you loved the cabin—we try to make it as cozy and comfortable as possible! Unfortunately, all our beautiful snow melted just before you arrived, and it leaves everyone's property looking so dismal outside until it either snows again or the grass grows in the spring. You had wanted to go snowmobiling, etc. and I am sure that it was very disappointing to have no snow at all. If we could control mother nature, we would have made it the snow globe that it should be in Vermont in December :) We do try to manage expectations about the place being a cabin on an old farm, etc. We have a totally open front yard, back yard and side yard that is mowed in the summer, with seating, etc. but don't mow the fields around behind the farm sheds, etc. and can't mow in the winter in any case. We are very sorry that this did not communicate well enough for you - I was worried when you inquired about a hot tub after you booked that perhaps you didn't read the description closely enough about it being a rustic cabin etc. :(
