Lakefront Cabin zu vermieten, Ruhe und Entspannung umfasst schönes Zuhause auf 6 Hektar großen See - bietet Platz für bis zu 16 Personen in 5 Schlafzimmern mit 3 Badezimmer. Die Unterkunft verfügt über einen Privatstrand, eine Bootsanlegestelle mit einem Tretboot und einem Kanu, Wanderwege und 41 Morgen Weide- und Kiefernwald.

Diese Liegenschaft befindet sich 1,5 Stunden von der Innenstadt von Chicago entfernt, befindet sich auf 41 Hektar, mit Blick auf einen 6 Hektar großen See und ist nur mit einer privaten Fahrt erreichbar. Die Gebäude wurden 2018 komplett renoviert.

Zu den weiteren Annehmlichkeiten zählen eine Bootsanlegestelle und Angeln auf Seebarsch, Crappie und Blue Gill. Ein Kanu und ein Tretboot stehen den Mietern zur Verfügung und Sie können Ihren Fang auf dem Holzkohlegrill zubereiten. Es gibt auch einen zwei Meilen langen Wanderweg durch das Holz und die Weide. Das Lake Cabin liegt 10 Minuten von einem Vogelschutzgebiet und 25 Minuten vom Golfplatz Lake Carroll entfernt.

Golf Trip

Very nice place. Secluded on a lake with a large yard. Inside is a large open area that is excellent for a larger group. Has a full kitchen with everything needed for cooking. Had an excellent stay and would look here first if taking another trip this way.

Giving away a secret

Beautiful and peaceful place. Very well kept. Good hiking and small lake coasting in a canoe or paddle boat. As parents of five, we loved every minute of it, just to get away (without the kids).

Lake day!

Our experience of the property was wonderful. The group was able to spend 95% of the time outside in the very spacious backyard. It’s even bigger than advertised, this was perfect as we brought many yard games. A beautiful property inside and out, don’t forget your sunscreen when out on the lake!

It was a great stay. I would recommend taking better pictures of the place because the pictures you have doesnt do it justice. I would also suggest providing Toilet paper. Also, maybe an update to the bathroom in the basement would be nice!

The property was beautiful. It was remote and the scenery was picturesque. The sound traveled oddly clear over the lake. We could make out distict voices from the house across the way although it was too far to see them. We didn't mind the noise, though. The problem was that there was no wifi, no bath towels, no hand towels, no toilet paper, no paper towels, and no broom. We had to go to the closest walmart 25 minutes away to buy these basic amenities for ourselves. There was a canoe and paddle boat available, but no life jackets. Fishing was possible in the small lake, but you have to have your own equipment and fishing license. At least there were linens and blankets on the beds.

In our description of the property and what we provide list we do not provide towels or wash clothes for bathing guest need to bring these items. we provide starter toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags. Brooms, mops cleaning items are in the walk in hallway closet at all time. No wifi is list on our site. I do hope you and your guest enjoyed your stay. 4th of July

This is our second time staying on the property. Last year we stayed at the house located across the pond. It’s a beautiful and secluded place. The owners are so nice and easy to contact. The only complaint we all had was the algae in the pond was really heavy this year so we didn’t get a chance to enjoy that but everything else was great.

Very peaceful!

We loved it there. Just a few issues. The paddle boat was broke. The listing says there is a hot tub and fish cleaning station,there was not. But the kids loved swimming and going out on the canoe, as did the adults. Sitting on the patio as family while the sun went down just happened naturally. It's so peaceful. Thank you for letting us stay!!

Great amount of space, Lake needs treated

We were thrilled to find the house was up to date and clean. There was a lot of space in the kitchen to cook and for us to play games after our meals in the dining room and living room. Host did a good job communicating what to bring (towels not provided). The lake is more swamp like with a strong smell. Downstairs could have been cleaned better and we pulled over 1 cup of hair clog out of the drain down there to get it to drain before they could shower (YUCK). The algae and weeds didn’t stop the students from swimming, canoeing and fishing though!

Fantastic weekend away with friends, with minor issue.

I’m not sure pictures do the place justice. Really cool property with a covered back deck great for get-togethers. The pond was a fantastic addition. The kitchen and living space was really nicely equipped and decorated. CHECK THE BEDS BEFORE GETTING IN. Basement beds had a large amount of mouse poop all over the pillows and blankets. I have pictures. I let the owner know and received a short response that they will fix the mice issue. Besides that, we had a fantastic time on the secluded property.

This property has the best view

Pictures really don’t do the views from this property justice. It is breathtaking. It is also totally private except for the other rental property and the trails are fun and great for exploring. The sandy beach was quite overgrown, but my husband picked the weeds the first day and for the rest of our stay the kids loved playing there. The water was very green with an algie bloom our first couple days but then it rained and after that the lake was great for swimming. One morning we saw a bald eagle from the patio of the house swimming over the lake. The only issues we had were that the property manager forgot that we were coming and had the landscaper come knock on the door and accuse us of being there inappropriately (when she checked her records she realized she was mistaken). And the fact that the basement was very damp and smelled like mildew.

Excellent Quiet Getaway

We wanted to take my 91-year old Mother on a quiet vacation with family from around the country. Siblings from New York, Wisconsin and Maryland gathered along with our Niece from Iowa. This location was perfect. The first floor allowed living space that ensured my Mother would not need to use stairs (she has a walker). The kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, and other essentials needed to prepare family-sized meals. I did note a review that indicated "poison ivy is everywhere", and that is not correct. I saw two poison ivy plants on the premises; one near the dock, and one in a front flower-bed. As this is a rural wooded area, there is also some growing naturally in wooded areas, but that is to be expected in such environments. We also were greeted by deer and birds as we rested outside and enjoyed nature around us. I would highly recommend this cabin. Although not completely "off grid" (we had very good cell reception), it comes pretty close if you are looking to unplug. Enjoy your stay!

Pictures don’t do justice

We had a great wkd here celebrating my father in law’s 80th bday. There were 9 of us ages 14 and up and there was plenty of space and beds for all. Kitchen is huge and fully stocked to cook all your meals (minus the food of course!) We spent a lot of time on back covered patio and think there should be pics of this space as well as fire pit, and bathrooms on main level as there are all nice and updated. Basement bathroom not so much but it was ok. We had an unfortunate thing happen during our stay- water heater went out but the owners took care of it in a very timely manner on a Saturday and had it replaced so we had warm water by that evening. Overall it was a great house on nice piece of property overlooking a pond that comes with a paddle boat and canoe. We did lots of fishing, and spent most of our time outside. The gnats were pretty bad- but is a woody area so not much you can do. Nice relaxing wkd on a peaceful property. Would go back!

Outdoor gem

From the description of the place, it was difficult to get a sense of how many actual beds and bathrooms existed. We were pleasantly surprised that there were more than the pictures showed. In the basement, there are two rooms with beds. One has 2 in it, the other 2 plus a couch. There is a full bath in the basement. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths (1 in the master) and a half bath near the entrance. The kitchen could use more dishes for a place that can host 15 people. I think we counted only 11 full sized plates. The pond/lake is pretty neat although has a lot of algae and plants. It does not seem like a swimming lake. They provided a peddle boat and a canoe. We did not try either, but brought our own canoe which the kids had fun with. It was great we had some options. There is a ton of room on the lawn to play games. Bring your own lawn chairs - there is nothing to sit around the fire with. We had a barred owl visit near dusk everyday which was incredible. Also heard coyotes and saw red headed woodpeckers, flickers, wrens, and various other birds. There was a map in the property of a two mile hike in the woods on the property, but it was not well kept and had downed trees and was generally There were a lot of great points of the property. There were many seating options so we could all sit near each other for dinner. The space was clean, easy to get to, and spacious. Heads up that the nearest grocery store is 20 minutes away.

Country getaway

What a lovely secluded property this is! We enjoyed having the large kitchen/living area to socialize in and the bedrooms were nice and spacious for all of us. We truly enjoyed the pond and being able to canoe and paddle boat around all day at our leisure. There is another house on the other side od the pond, but we didnt feel intruded upon in the least. The people renting there were respectful and friendly about having to share the pond, plenty of room for all!
