Fun at the lake

Fun on the lake for all! Paddle boat and kayaks made the stay! Walking distance to all the restaurants too. Most importantly a great host. Fast communication much appreciated

Great Christmas Getaway

This is the second time my family and I have stayed at Tim's property in Colon. Everything was as wonderful this year as last. We enjoyed the dining area to play games, and I enjoyed using the spacious kitchen for making all of our meals. There is also a small diner within walking distance that is definitely worth checking out. My family loves it here, and we will definitely be back again.

Lovely home

This was the perfect place for me at a time when I needed a mixture of solitude and lots of space for a large family gathering one morning. A comfortable and welcoming space, and the host was very responsive to a question about the thermostat. The fall color was incredible on the lake!

Fantastic Lakefront Home

My family spent our vacation in this fantastic home. We were very impressed by the photos and information in the listing. When we arrived we found that it exceeded our expectations. The home was clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. The deck is huge with wonderful views overlooking the lake. Air conditioning was great on the hot days. The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant. The property owner, Tim, was very kind and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and hope to return one day!

Wrap around deck facing wide open east and south views was great.

The check in was smooth and the host is very prompt in communicating with you. This property is set in a cove of Palmer Lake in between the dam and boat launch, the deck offered a great view and you can see all the boats coming and going. The paddle boat and kayak seemed to be unused for a long period of time however there is a hose attached to the deck and a good hose down did the trick. Having your own boat or jet ski would make the stay perfect but the girls and my girlfriend and I did enjoy taking the paddle boat out. The property has a sea wall front so there is not a sandy beach area, we would stay there again but would definitely be sure to have some kind of boat or jet ski rental.

Relaxing Stay!

Communication was great and easy, and we really enjoyed Tim’s home on this quiet, relaxing lake with pontoon boats and locals- it is not a crowded area. We were there on a holiday weekend and it was still peaceful. We used the kayak and two paddle boats which take a little effort to pull to the water but we enjoyed them! (Take the life jackets with you! -we got stopped by the water sheriff and had to go back bc they are required on all boats- 3 jackets were available) The house is by the public boat launch so it was fun watching the boats and jet skies come in and out. Great yard for sitting by the water or fire pit or your pup. We floated on the raft but I would not say it’s a swimming lake for small kids. It drops pretty deep and there isn’t a private beach area at the house, but that’s not a deterrent for us. The house is very comfortable and spacious. We had 7 adults and did have to use the bunk beds, which are not ideal for adults but would be fine for kids😊 Would definitely stay again and so glad we were able to get for Labor Day weekend. The only suggestion I would provide is maybe a bed topper for the full size bed downstairs. My parents found it pretty uncomfortable/too firm, and we couldn’t offer the comfy big king upstairs due to the steps. Thanks Tim!

Relaxing time with family

This property was just right for our crew to gather after Christmas, and spend some time gaming, puzzling, and just enjoying each other’s company. We had a fabulous family early Christmas at Tim’s home, it was very comfy and nice and warm, pretty much everything one could need, the only thing I would recommend is a stair gate. The views of the lake were amazing, we had a great stay. Thank you for letting us stay.

This property was amazing! The Kids loved swimming and fishing off the dock. The paddle boat and kayaks were great and the little park was an added bonus. The house was clean and very well maintained. We can tell that the owners take pride in this house. We will come back to this property!

Annual Family Michigan Trip

This was my first time staying in Colon, Michigan usually we stay in Three Rivers. The property was beautiful. It has a vintage yet, new feel we love. Just a few things...We used the pattle boards, fire pit, board games, huge deck, has beautiful view of the lake and my daughter loved the kitchen display on top of the microwave and other "little touches". The host makes you feel like you are at home. This is perfect for a family getaway. Also, Loved it was steps away from the downtown and the history of the town "Magic/Magician inspired". We tried the Bar-Grill Curlys on State. It was walking distance from the house. I definitely recommend to add to your stay.

Clean & Comfortable

We did not spend a lot of time on the property as we were in town for a family reunion taking place at a home nearby. We just used it to sleep and shower. House was very clean and comfortable. Nice big deck overlooking the lake. Walking distance to town which is also a plus.

Beautiful lakeside retreat in a small town

My family and I had an amazing stay at this beautiful home on the lake. The neighborhood was super quiet, and yet the property is within walking distance to some amazing diners and restaurants. I loved walking out on the back deck and hearing the water flow through the nearby dam. We had a great time playing board games on the spacious dining room table and made good use of the well stocked kitchen. I did have a couple of minor questions for Tim while we were there and he was always quick to respond. We definitely plan to come back to this lovely property.
