Quaint, and comfortable accommodations.

Excellent location. Centrally located to all shopping, restaurants, and parks. Back yard was pleasant, and private. Nice outside table, and chairs. The charcoal grill was also a nice addition. We would be happy to stay here again.

Thanks Jennifer. . . Jennifer was a great guest but I screwed up on my review concerning her stay. I posted a review applicable to the guest who just moved out this week. . . Jennifer and her party had stayed earlier in the month and they were great guests. Hopefully VRBO allows me to edit. Sorry for the mistake Jennifer. Thanks for choosing The Stiner Home. Safe Travels.

Vacation Week

The house was clean. The backyard had a 6 foot wooden fence that was perfect for the dog. It was what we needed. We live local and needed a place while our bathroom was remodeled. It had what we needed, was clean and is an older home just like ours, so it was like being home. We will stay here again.

Nice Stay

While the house is not fancy, we had a nice stay. The location was great, close to stores, restaurants, and our family that lives in the area. The pillows were comfortable and there were plenty of cozy blankets to wrap up in when it got cold. The property is just as advertised, with a fully fenced yard that was great to have for our dog. I think the previous people that stayed there were messy because we did find some ants around the coffee maker. After moving any source for the ants, they were gone. Communication with the owner was very easy and they accommodated a last minute extension of our stay. My suggestions are minor, but I did miss having a whisk and larger bowls (Thanksgiving week).

Could be so cute

Older home in a great location in Cda, very central. The home was dirty and needs to be deep cleaned. The bedding is old and stained. Mattresses are squeaky and not comfortable. Definitely could benefit from a mattress topper and new bedding. The front door rubs the floor and is tough to open. The fenced yard is great for dogs, but they have not watered so the grass is dried out. This home has so much potential and with a little TLC could be a great place. I did message the owner and he promptly replied, but did not address the concerns.
Every corner in the house needs cleaned.

Perfect for our needs

While old, this house has an appealing nostalgia for me. It’s quirky and has that cared for, yet lived in, feeling. If you have kids and dogs, then you likely know what I mean. The only things I’d want fixed before a next stay would be the back gate. I wasn’t worried about my service animal escaping, but I was worried about someone just pushing the gate open. There needs to be a way to secure it from inside the yard. And finally, the beds. It’s time. I would have happily paid an extra $10-15/night had the beds been newer and firmer. They’re pretty old and rough on a busted back. All that said, I plan on booking this house again in 2 years when I have my son for Independence Day again.

Steiner House Summer 2024 Review

Overall, property lacks needed maintenance. Front door was difficult to open due to scraping on floor. Windows were very dirty. Bathtub looks like it was painted with white paint which is peeling off now. The bbq grill was very dirty and no cleaning tools were present. Walls above the baseboard heater were darkened. There was an electrical outlet inches above the bathroom sink which was not a gcfi safety receptacle. But, on the bright side, we had very fast internet connection and the bed and couches were very comfortable. The window air conditioner along with the present fans kept the house comfortable.

Shame on you. . . Yes the old home is not level as it is a historic home that was moved onto the site from the Farragut State Park where it housed U.S. Naval troops as they tested Submarines in Bayview, Idaho. Also, if you understood electricity, you would know that the outlet in the bathroom is GFCI protected through the same circuit that protects the kitchen. Unfortunate that you would nitpick an older fully furnished home with nightly rates half of the current local hotel prices.

It's a dump furnished by goodwill, read mote

Property had ant invasion in nasty moldy bathroom. Rented for 13 days Left 1.5 roll of toiletpaper and half roll of paper towels. Many electrical outlets do not appear to working, no r do smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detector. Not desk to work at. O trash an liners and many missing lightbulbs, I had to get some to have enough light to see. Many of the .mismatched pots and pans were dirty. This place has an outrageous host and cleaning free. Mattresses are terrble. BEWARE.owner he lamed me for not calling him., he could not understand we were in the .midst of moving and could not take time to move from VRBO to another. Report ing him to all sites and city of CdA for safety violations in a rental unit(s).

First and only time I’ve ever had to dip into a VRBO customer deposit to pay for damages and excessive cleaning. Of course VRBO required I provide photo evidence. So I had to take over a dozen photos of fecal matter left behind by Beth and her party. I suspect that’s why the review came in like so. Other hosts beware if Beth inquires about a reservation, it is not worth the income. VRBO would be prudent to tag her review of The Stiner as false and ban Beth from the platform. My record as a host speaks for itself.

Tidy 2 bedroom cottage

Cozy and great location

Our stay at the little home on Stiner was even better than we'd anticipated. The owner had told us he thought it was just right for our needs. He was a perfect host-direct and to the point Corner lot, great parking, perfect yard for pur dog, laundry room. Cozy feeling older home. It was equiped with everything we needed. The location proved to be perfectly close to LITERALLY anywhere we needed to go. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you Alberico!!
