Our stay at Villa del Palmar was wonderful, once we were settled. The process we went through with VRBO and the owner of the property was complicated, and inconsistent. Examples are:
1. When we registered at the resort, we were given a room which was completely inappropriate and did not in any way resemble the room shown on VRBO site.
2. There was no WiFi, although the listing for the property said there would be access to WiFi.
3. At check-out, we were charged a service fee for every day of our stay, which we were not informed of in advance.
4. It was recommended to us to take a shuttle from the airport which cost way more than taking a cab would have..
Having outlined our concerns, we spoke to the owner of the property who was more than happy to talk with us, and compensate us for any additional or hidden charges. She was really wonderful, and in the end, we were totally happy with her and our stay at the resort. She advised us that the above mentioned issues will be resolved and explained more fully for the benefit of further renters.
The resort itself was wonderful....clean, lovely, and with every possible need met by the exceptional staff. They were the highlight of our stay there.
