It was absolutely wonderful the clubhouse is amazing the one and only thing I can even recommend is the bbq grill needs to be upgraded it’s older and doesn’t work very well

This is a great property! Spacious, clean &comfortable, with an amazing back deck view. We enjoyed the hot tub onsite as well. Would 10/10 recommend!

We had an excellent stay at Aspen View. Plenty of room and lots of towels for the 9 people in our group. We loved the location and all the area amenities. We especially loved the front room with the washer and dryer. It was a great place to stash all our riding gear leaving the rest of the cabin clutter free! We saw turkeys and deer walking through the woods while sitting on the back deck. Plenty of parking for two vehicles (probably could have fit one more if needed), a car trailer, and 5 motorcycles! Would stay here again and highly recommend Aspen View and the Gilded Mountain area.

Property has a heated pool at the clubhouse and the pool was actually heated and great even on cool days. Cabin was great as well and kitchen had all the pots, flat iron and pans needed. Highly recommend this property, mainly due to heated pool at the clubhouse.

It's exactly as it was described. It was in the perfect location for our needs. It doesn't have a true master, if that's important to you. It had 2 bedrooms with a shared bathroom in the basement. The main level has a half bath. The upstairs had 2 more bedrooms with a shared bathroom. It was also in easy walking distance to the shared pool and clubhouse building.

The house was just as it was advertised, very clean, and everything was functioning. The hot tub was clean and the perfect temperature. It was in the perfect location near Terry Peak and Lead and Deadwood. I would recommend this place to my friends and would definitely stay there again.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very disappointed in the cleanliness and overall maintenance of the rental. With the price paid per night, we expected the cabin to be in good condition. I know cleaning a house with higher ceilings is difficult, but it should be dusted a few times a year. We also found random dirty socks in one of the bedrooms.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at Aspen View Lodge. After long days driving to see all of the SD/WY sites, we couldn't wait to get back to the house to grill on the comfortable porch with a view or cook in the well-equipped kitchen with a view or turn on the cozy fireplace next to a huge window with a view or sleep in comfortable beds in rooms with a view or - our personal favorite - relax in the hot with a view AND a family of deer who wished us a good evening each night. The house is super accomodating and the location was perfect for us. We loved being super close to Spearfish Canyon and close enough to all the sites to get to have somewhere so welcoming ro come home to each night.

Cozy getaway with everything we wanted!

We really enjoyed this cabin and would rent it again. It was perfect for eight of us: my husband and me, our four kids, and my parents. The place was cozy and decorated well. We loved the private hot tub at ground level, and everything there was to do in the community lodge. My kids were pretty excited to get to swim outside in March!

Great Place

We loved our stay here. The cabin was perfect for all 6 of us, and the location can’t be beat for getting out and exploring the area. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. The hot tub didn’t work for the majority of our stay, but we went to the lodge to use the two they had which were fantastic.

Cabin was clean and great location would highly recommend.

We had a great time ! The cabin was so clean and hot tub was great added bonus after long days sightseeing . Close to town and Deadwood. Made it convenient for groceries , ice and gas.

Kids loved it

when vacationing my kids want a pool, having a private hot tub and access to the community pool was a selling point. The house was rustic style, but clean and welcoming.

Wonderful

The cabin was beautifully decorated and in a great location. The kids really enjoyed the clubhouse and the pool. Communication was also great. The only recommendation I have is that I wish more businesses were open in the evenings for ice cream, but highly recommend this cabin.

Excellent property and location!

We loved our stay at this property! Location and property were excellent. It was nice to have a "home" to go back to each night. Hot tub and grill were awesome to have. Kids loved going to the clubhouse to swim and play pool. Only "complaint" was the musty towels of which most we were able to wash up just fine. Loved that this house backed to trees, not anither property. Made for nice nights in the hot tub and on the deck. We'll be back!

Vacation Week

Spent a week here in July 2020 for a vacation and really enjoyed it. The last time I was in South Dakota was when I was a kid 45 years ago, and wanted to show my daughters all the fun stuff I remembered. The cabin was great and Budi was super helpful. There were one or two very minor maintenance items that need looked at due to normal wear and tear, but overall the cabin was GREAT! There were 4 of us and everyone had plenty of room and loved the hot tub and watching nature out our back door. We would definitely stay here again.
