Erleben Sie den Luxus, den nur wenige auf dem Monterey Square in einer der magischsten Städte des Landes erleben. Das Herrenhaus bietet Platz für maximal 20 Gäste.

Das begehrte "Wedding Cake Mansion" ist das Juwel am Monterey Square. Bekannt wurde der historische Platz durch den Film "Mitternacht im Garten des Guten und Bösen". Der Monterey Square ist zweifellos der schönste Platz in Savannah. Der Platz ist an allen Ecken mit Villen geschmückt, die mit spanischem Moos bedeckt und mit historischen Denkmälern verankert sind.

Dieses Barockhaus aus dem 2. Kaiserreich von 1869 nimmt Ihnen den Atem, sobald Sie es sehen. Das kunstvolle weiße Erkerfenster ist mit Buntglasfenstern und dekorativen Eisenarbeiten so reich verziert, dass die langjährigen Einwohner von Savannah immer gesagt haben, dass es einer elegant dekorierten Hochzeitstorte ähnelt. Diese Architektur ist einzigartig in Savannah und nur einige Beispiele aus dem historischen Viertel. Der französische Einfluss wird im ganzen Haus mit französischen Antiquitäten, Kunst und Dekor getragen. Die Schlafzimmer sind ein strahlender Zufluchtsort und die eigenen Badezimmer bieten alle luxuriösen Ausstattungen, die von erfahrenen, raffinierten Reisenden erwartet werden. Als großen Bonus stehen Ihnen 2 begehrte Garagenstellplätze zur Verfügung.

Der Innenhof ist eine besondere Oase mit einem Brunnen, den eine Marmorstatue aus Italien ziert. Wunderschöne Landschaft und Sitzgelegenheiten machen dies zum perfekten Ort zum Entspannen in Luxus.

Amazing Time

To begin we loved loved loved the Wedding Cake House. It was so inviting and beautiful to stay. Plenty space for 15 w/ our own bathrooms and at night it was so quiet. We enjoyed eating together in the dining room and the kitchen was definitely a great hang out too. We made the trip to eat at my Nephews new restaurant “Brochu’s Family Tradition” and trust me we would given it 6 stars or more if we could. So if you add the house, location and Andrew’s restaurant it was one of Our Top vacations. We also had dessert at Better than Sex restaurant and that was a real treat too. The parks were beautiful and walking distance to sooo many. Look forward to returning to Savannah. Maybe we will come in the fall next time :).

Reunion

This property is even more spacious and beautiful than it looks in the listing and was the perfect setting for the 13 of us to meet in Savannah for a reunion. The kitchen was well stocked, allowing us to prepare meals, and the dining room was a comfortable size for us to eat together. The location is just around the corner from Forsyth Park, on a quiet street, and within walking distance to everything we did during our weekend stay.

50th Birthday Celebration

The location was perfectly located and we walked everywhere. The house is absolutely spectacular. My husband and I celebrated our 50th with family and friends, we had 8 couples including us and it was very spacious. I love every detail in the house, so many hidden gems. I would recommend this house a million times. Savannah is truly a magical, whimsical city.

Savannah was beautiful with lots of interesting things to do and this property was perfectly located to everything either by walking or relatively cheap Uber. The dining room was perfect for doing an in home dinner for everyone as well.

Historic, nostalgic, and beautiful place. Is like going to the past and discovering how Americans lived. We had a great time celebrating our friend’s 90 birthday. The management even sent her a bouquet of flowers. We absolutely recommend this place. Thank you!

Wonderful family weekend

We had a destination wedding in Savannah and I wanted a place for our two families to stay together. This property was perfect for us. Everyone enjoyed the beauty of the facility, the furnishings and the many small touches. It allowed my family to get to know her family in an intimate setting. Every couple had a private room that was nicely appointed. The photos online do not do this place justice.

Summer Trip

The property was the perfect location, very clean and great for a large group. The drinkware was very well stocked for both coffee in the mornings and drinks during the day. Could use some updated pots and pans but that only matters if you plan to cook a lot vs eating at Savannah's fantastic restaurants. There were 14 people in our group - originally supposed to be 16 but due to outside circumstances, just 14 of us. The property description states that there are 8 bedrooms with 6 kings and 2 queens but upon arrival, there were only 7 bedrooms - 5 kings and 2 queens. It didn't end up being an issue for us since we were down 2 people, but just be aware when booking. I understand that there is two pull out couches but in the description it seems like these pull out options are in addition to the 8 bedrooms. Other than that, I would gladly suggest The Wedding Cake Mansion to any group traveling to Savannah :)

Savannah Destination Wedding

Our son and his beautiful wife chose Savannah for a destination wedding. Our immediate family (our married children and grandchildren) stayed at the Wedding Cake Mansion. February 2022 Stay

My husband and I were married on 2/19/22 in Savannah and no other place could have been more perfect than the Wedding cake mansion. That being said, it's not without faults. In my opinion, it's time the property receive some in-depth maintenance so it's incredible beauty won't be dimmed for future visitors. The bathroom by the kitchen in the main house has a nearly-broken doorknob and the paint on the toilet seat is chipped. The cushion fillings in all the seats are worn and sagging, almost non-existent. The blue chairs in the living room and the chairs in the dinning room are stained and could use some deep cleaning or reupholstery. The courtyard and front steps need a deep pressure clean because they're very dirty. There are paint touch-ups throughout the property that are blatantly visible because the colors don't match up perfectly with the rest of the wall and they were done quite sloppily. There were several lightbulbs in the 3 properties that needed replacement because they'd gone out. Lastly, the third floor of the main house was uncomfortably warm on a pleasant February day - even with the ceiling fans turned on so I cannot imagine it in the Summer. Again, I wouldn't have stayed anywhere else but it's precisely because the property is so magnificent that these things which can be easily fixed are such big eye sores. Would love to stay again with my family in the future.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is beautiful and even going up 2 flights of stairs was not bad. On the first night the people that stayed on the third floor noticed a water leak that seemed to be coming through the ceiling fan. A trash can was placed to catch the water and a call was placed to the management. A second call was placed the next day when no one showed. This time, we advised that the water was now going into the second floor. The problem was fixed the next day. (Pump malfunction). Personal Items were left in kitchen and a call was placed to have them located. They were and was told they would be mailed. That was 2 weeks ago. Value over $200 but still waiting. The location is great and the facility is indicative of the old South.
