Mauna Lani condos again

We stayed on this property a few months ago and loved it all so much that we came back again. This was a different unit for us, and still a great layout and accommodation. Everything was in good working order and no issues, which is how a vacation should be.

Mauna Lani retreat

We loved our stay at the Mauna Lani Terraces! Our unit was loaded with everything we needed and then some!! The updated pool area is wonderful as well as the location to the beach/beach club and restaurants nearby. An unexpected bonus, membership to the sports and fitness center where my husband enjoyed many rounds of pickleball as well as lessons while I enjoyed the workout area. We loved it so much, we have booked again for next year. :-)

Beautifully appointed, close to a great little beach

We stayed at this unit for a week - my husband and I and our teenage son, and my in-laws. The location is perfect, the directions were clear, and the unit’s furnishings were high end but still felt comfortable and casual. Overall 10/10. We’d choose this unit again.

Wonderful Hawaii trip!

Amazing location! Loved walking to the Auberge and the beach club. Property management group was wonderful to work with and made everything easy! Property is a little dated but the location makes up for it. There is a grumpy old man on the 3rd floor who does not like children playing outside, we avoided him after one lecture, but owners should be aware he may scare off families from returning.

Really great time. Location was awesome. Napua restaurant a must do. The pool was awesome too! Negatives were that there was not a flash light or umbrella in the condo and we had a few nights of storms. Also seemed like significant water/black mold issue in the walls by guest bathroom and living room……

We normally have emergency flash lights plugged into a kitchen outlet and in the bathrooms, we'll have some brought over to the unit. We found that there was water seeping in under the sliding doors and that has been resolved, we also got a professional carpet cleaner in to do a water extraction. Gorgeous condo

The original condo we expected had a problem with air conditioning, so Kona offered us a substitute. We didn’t know what to expect, but it was absolutely beautiful. There were ample beach items, absolutely lovely furnishings, an outdoor bar area and room for family members staying at three additional condos at Mauna Lani Estates to enjoy a meal on the outdoor patio Together. The furnishings were lovely and beds were comfortable. We would definitely choose to stay there again.

We love the Mauna Lani Terrace

We have stayed there before. This unit includes two passes to the sports club. A first class gym, tennis and lap pool. The unit was clean and everything worked. A little noise from the family upstairs but no big deal. I will always make the Mauna Lani Terrace my first choice.

Beautiful and relaxing!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condominium. Fanatastic view and location to the ocean. The condominium is very spacious for a family of 4, tastefully decorated and updated. We loved the use of the outdoor kitchen/grills near the pool area as well as the cabana chaise lounges located on the beach We found the Mauna Lani complex to be well maintained and very quiet. All in all a very wonderful relaxing family vacation. Our only negative comment: the kitchen lacks certain staple condiments such as seasonings for those who like to cook!

Family gathering

We rented this condo along with others for the proximity to the beach club. Our family has veen coming to Mauna Lani since inception. We were here to spread my husbands ashes. The condo was wonderful. My family felt it was a perfect fit. Everyone was so helpful qith check in and out. The condo provided everything that was needed. Couldnt ask for more. Thank you for all your help.

Great location but unit has deferred maintenance.

The location is fantastic but the condo is not very comfortable. There were issues with the freezer and water stains on the sheetrock. The area rugs were old and dirty.

Family Celebration

It is okay but needs to be updated. We had a little problem getting a needed maintenance problem taken care of. This condo is really good for adults only but is not very family friendly. If you have children be sure to read all the HOA rules. There are very specific rules about playing games on the lawns and playing in the pool. The rules mention things like no Marco Polo in the pool. Seriously, how can you not have games in a pool😬 There is a guy on the top floor of J building that has assigned himself the security guard. All of our family are rule followers but we had a problem with following these.

3 week stay

Pros: Location is terrific, close to water, great view. The beds are comfortable, and the pool area is close by clean and nice. We enjoyed our stay, but want to bring a few things to the attention of the owners and management as well as future renters. The place is in great need of an upgrade. The refrigerator door has a dent in it, does not stay closed and needs to be checked, as well as damage to the outside of the door. Two kitchen towels were provided for a 3 week stay. None of the screen doors lock, and the bedroom screen came off the rail, and the frame came away from the wall in the master bedroom when the glass door was opened and or locked. The sheets and towels need to be upgraded-even a bit would help. The bath towels are like used gym towels, and when we asked for a few more, we were told that we could wash them. For the price, and a 3 week stay, I think there is a better solution. There are no pads on the chaise lounge, and when I asked management, I was told they could see if the owners would buy some. Some of this is just a matter of providing to match the price and a bit more comfort. But definitely in need of an upgrade. Management was kind and responsive when we asked for clean placemats and a few towels that were delivered. We recognize these are small incidentals but definitely even minute amenities..for this price range...need attention to detail.

Hosts were excellent. Unit well appointed with all we needed including beach chairs and snorkeling gear. The location is 9/10. Ocean views every day and can walk for 5 minutes right down to the beach to watch amazing sunsets.

Fabulous spot

This condo was ideally located with a view of the ponds and ocean, just around the corner but out sight of the lovely pool, and a very short walk to the excellent beach club. This is a beautiful property, and we instantly felt like we were truly on vacation while surrounded by the high ceilinged walls, lovely wooden slatted sliding doors, and generous furnishings. Being able to walk out the lenai door and straight onto the grass and to the ocean was a dream.

Well equipped unit in a beautiful setting. The location is close to lots of attractions along the Kahala Coast and elsewhere on the island. David the concierge was very helpful, attentive and responsive. Would definitely stay there again.

Winter Hawaiian Getaway

Returned to the Big Island after a long time away. Really enjoyed our comfortable accommodations in a lovely spot with views of the beach outside the back lanai. Beautiful, updated decor with an extremely well equipped and organized kitchen. Very good layout for the four of us with the two bedrooms and a large living area in-between. Despite the monumental storm that blew through during our visit, we had a lovely time and hope to return again soon!

Amazing property, best location.

Perfect vacation property for some well needed down time. All the necessary amenities were provided, couldn't have been better. Flat out (IMO) the absolute best location, walking proximity to the better beaches & restaurants.
